This was my first time at Lulu's getting a massage, and honestly, I'm so glad I found this place! It was a late Friday night, around 7:30, and I was seriously in need of a massage. The place I normally go to is about 30 minutes from me, and I knew I wasn't going to make it there that late. I called a few different places that were open until 9 or 10, but everywhere I called was booked and didn't have anything available until the next morning. Thankfully, Lulu's was my last place to call and they had an opening! They even texted me directions on how to find them since there are so many massage places in that area. They also explained where to look for parking and called me to make sure I found the place okay. I really appreciated that because sometimes finding these places can be a little confusing. When I walked in, the lights were dim, the atmosphere was really welcoming, and I was taken to my room pretty much right away. My massage therapist was Candy, and I HIGHLY recommend her! She literally worked on exactly what I needed and I walked out of there feeling so relaxed. I only did an hour, and honestly I wish I would've booked longer because I didn't want it to end . They also gave me a little rewards card, but I honestly don't even remember all the details because I was so relaxed and in the zone after my massage! The prices are great, the service was great, and I really have nothing but good things to say. I'll definitely be coming back and I can't wait for my next massage! I recently visited this massage place near my new apartment for the first time. I would say I had a pretty good experience overall. I was also pleasantly surprised by the variety of treatments they offer, especially considering their reasonable prices. You can park on the street, but it looks like they also have some additional parking in the back if needed. The place has a nice, relaxing atmosphere and feels like a welcoming local small business. Anyways, I am happy with the treatment from Jack. I had some tightness in my back due to my office work, and he did a decent job working on it. He's definitely one of the better massage therapists I've experienced. They prefer you call ahead to schedule an appointment to ensure they have a masseuse for you. I called to schedule a 1 hour foot massage. They have some parking spots behind their shop. Otherwise, street parking in the front. Be wary of the parking restrictions (2 hour parking I believe). The interior is very dim. They have multiple rooms, some single, and some doubles. They literally use up all their open space to put some massage tables in them. When it was my appointment, they walked me over to a section I didn't know existed. It was pretty neat. They soaked my feet in hot water, and as that was going on, they gave me a body massage too! I wasn't expecting that for a foot massage. Each time I come here, I fall asleep. I enjoy the pillow head rest. The bed had cushion which made it more comfortable to lay on. I believe I had a gentleman named Tony. He's great, but the only problem I had with him is that his hands reek of cigarettes. When he massaged my head (which I just came from a head scalp spa), I was saddened to know the money I just spent washing my hair had been contaminated with the smell of cigarettes. As someone who periodically gets massages I like to try new places and today I really needed one but my usual massuese was off work so I turned to Yelp. I quickly found Lulu relax spa and I appreciate Lulu being very communicative when I requested an appointment as it was my first time, however I quickly realized that I should have went with another spot. The massage was very uncomfortable from the get go because I had an older male masseuse that reeked of cigarettes. I do not want to slander the therapist or business but this was a waste of my time and money. On top of that, he kept coughing and burping throughout my time there. I am a male myself and I have high tolerance for things but I left the session feeling really grossed out, with my whole body and clothes dirty and less relaxed than when I stepped inside. He was kind enough but the massage itself was very formulaic and you could tell he was running through the motions for a pay check. I noticed he didn't even bother to repeat the same motions on both sides of my body and overall he was too rough. I appreciate good pressure but it was borderline painful. Overall, I was too uncomfortable to relax and I still tipped 30% but ultimately I would not come back and could not in good conscience recommend anyone coming here. Super affordable pricing... $45 / 60 min full body massage?! - - - - - - I was in the area for a walk-in massage that was booked out, but thankfully Lulu Relax Day Spa was nearby. The prices were very affordable, and an older gentleman was with me within 15 minutes. I had the full body massage, and he really worked on my body. I was a bit disappointed at first, since it felt like being rubbed by soft hands - slippery but little pressure. Then, sometime halfway through, I fell asleep and awoke to gradually increasing intensity. From oils to hot stones, the experience was amazing. Later on, I learned the gentleman was in his late 70s (?!) - wow! To have this strength and technique at this age is admirable. When I go tup and dressed, my back felt much better, and my body was much more at ease. Paying was a tad difficult; their card reader didn't work. Additionally, they do accept Zelle, but the lady helping me had to call someone up to confirm that it was received... so plan accordingly! But at $45/60 min , it's really hard to beat... tip well! read more

We really wanted to love this place, but it just wasn't there. My best friend and I get frequent massages and almost always go for two hour sessions. We went in for a same-day, two hour combo massage. The place was clean, parking not ideal, front desk friendly. You could tell the owner Lulu had a lot of pride in her business, but it comes across as uncomfortable. After a very odd introduction, she randomly came into my room and interrupted the session to ask me how the massage was AFTER it started. Kevin (my masseuse) was not the greatest. He is mediocre at best. He couldn't find the right pressure, he was leaning against me while he massaged me, he would stay on the same spot for too long, which interrupted the flow. Actually there was no flow. It felt very disconnected. When he used the hot stones he was clacking them so loudly next to my ears I had to ask him to stop. He spent a whopping 60 seconds on my arms. The music was awful. Nobody wants to hear love song lyrics during a massage. So many background noises - beeping and alarms. I could never truly settle into the massage and relax. Disappointing and could definitely understand how some reviewers used the word "uncomfortable". Sadly, a one and done for us. read more

My buddy and I were looking to get a massage in the San Gabriel Valley, so we did some Yelp Research and it lead us to Lulu Relax Day Spa in San Gabriel. We made an appointment for later in the afternoon for a full body massage for $45 + tip as of this writing. There is a small parking lot in the back, but very limited parking. Do note there's literally another place to get a massage right next door. I think out of the two, me and my buddy preferred Lulu even though it was a bit more in terms of price. Service was good and the massage itself was very good. I love getting massages and it's been so long since I've had one, so it was nice to treat myself to have an hour to just destress and relax. The place is very dark and very purple lolol. I love purple, nothing wrong with purple, but I do think the place feels dated and can feel more modern with some updates to the interior. But what's also interesting is that there were lots of people when we went, so it was quite busy. After we were done with the massage, we even got a stamp card to get $30 off after ten stamps. It's a good strategy to get customers to come back. Overall, I would recommend it and I am curious to see how other spas and massage places compare! read more

Whenever I am back in my hometown of LA I always love getting Chinese foot reflexology and body massages because their techniques really target the needed areas and offer affordable options. This is my first time trying Lulu's - chosen because it was the nearest place with good yelp ratings that fit into my tight schedule. I opted for the 70 min combo (40 min body and 30 min foot reflexology) for $50. It was good. I only rated 4 stars instead of 5 because I found it different from other establishments when it came to the foot reflexology. The bucket was brought into the body massage room and they soaked my feet while I was still laying on my back. Then they proceeded to do foot and leg massage while I stayed prone on my back. Normally I would have preferred sitting in a chair. As a result I didn't feel I had as good a foot reflexology massage as I could have. I didn't see any massage chairs in the front area so perhaps space was limited. The inside area looked a bit cluttered however the body massage was good and helped my aching neck and shoulders. read more

I booked a lymphatic massage and was given a totally different massage that I did not request. Couldn't communicate due to a language barrier. I tried communicating with my phone. It was very frustrating. I spoke to the manager Tom who I had a text thread with confirming my lymphatic massage, which he tried to deny. Horrible! I would not recommend this place. Additional: The massage person did not speak English I tried to explain the type of massage I required by text on my phone numerous times. She still didn't understand and had to call the manager Tom who obviously didn't understand either when I spoke to him and tried to explain before and after the massage. I was able to call few days earlier to reserve a time slot for us and we were able to get a room that catered to both of us in one room. It's interesting because there is another massage place that's relatively new right next to them, which the front desk person said not to go to and apparently they lie to customers saying that they are owned by the same person when they're not! Wow, just had an amazing 60 massage from YoYo. In the beginning, I addressed my main focus was shoulders and neck because I'm super tense from carry my baby all the time. She knew exactly which side hurts the most too. Only reason I took out a one star was because I felt like the walls were a bit thin and I could hear other coworkers conversations and I encountered 2-3 times like someone using a stick to hit the table. First time visiting a spa and met Lulu herself who gave me a quick tour of the place. Other than body massage they do facials, couples massage and do nails here as well. The spa is kept dim and music at a very low level to keep with the relaxing environment. I only had about an hour so I just did a regular body massage, but since it was my first time Lulu threw in complimentary hot stones as well! This place has you strip down to your birthday suit so be aware of that. They cover you with a strategic towel as they massage so you don't get too cold. Massage pressure was hard, as I prefer it that way I didn't really have to say anything to the masseuse. They use copious amounts of massage oil and some how find those sore spots you didn't even knew existed. I appreciate that they do ask if you have any problem areas they can focus on, so I felt that the attention to detail was nice. This is going to be my go-to massage place anytime I'm in the area having my car get serviced at Tire Central two buildings down. read more

I hate hate hate leaving bad reviews, but this was the worst massage I've ever experienced. We had a couples massage, and at the end of the massage we looked at each other in agreement, we will never come Back. I had a male masseuse that spent so much time on my head. I don't understand why. Maybe it would have been okay if it was actually relaxing but it was intense and there was too much pressure applied. When he got to my neck he was doing hard repetitive motions as if he found a knot, but there was none and he just kept going at it. This is when I wanted the massage to be over, but silly me trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. It was the most painful back massage ever. If you're Asian and know of coining technique that we use when we are sick , this massage was equivalent to worse than that. I felt that he was going down my spine the entire time. Other times he was palpating my spleen so hard that it hurt. It made me second guess myself, that I possibly had splenomegaly ( enlarged spleen). When he got to my lower back, he applied so much pressure on my sacrum. I have no idea why my sacrum was a part of this massage but it was red afterwards. Anyway, after this lousy massage, we went to pay and even though we did not want to tip, we decided to tip 15$ total, which is still 17% each.. and they had the nerve to ask us to tip 16$. I know it's only 1$ but we did not enjoy the service at all and a tip should reflect the service provided. 17% is still a generous tip. I do not recommend this place, save your 40$ and find a better place. If you want to try it out anyway, remember you get what you pay for. Bummer. read more

Elena was my masseuse and she was so sweet made me feel super comfortable, helped me decide on a combo massage so Full body + foot massage.
