The service was great. The ambiance was nice too. We both thought the remodel of the interior was nicely done. The pizza was so boring! My wife had a thin crust veggie pizza that she thought was cooked twice in the pizza oven. She couldn't taste any red sauce so our server brought her a side of red sauce to add to her pizza. I ordered a thin crust Tuscan chicken pizza, with a white sauce. The pizza was so boring taste wise. The pizza had no "Tuscan" vibe or flavors either. I needed to add salt and Parmesan cheese to eat the pizza so it had some taste. And this place has no red pepper flakes on the table and offers no US draft beer selections. VERY DISAPPOINTING! My wife made the comment if this was her first time eating pizza she would never eat pizza again. At least at Zeppe's we won't be eating their pizza anytime soon! read more

The last two times we have been to Zeppe's we were very disappointed. The food was poor quality, service was slow, (even tho we were only two of 10 people in the dining room) We waited over 45 minutes for pasta & meatballs, the salad was wilted. The romaine in the salad was mostly the "ribs" no lettuce leaves. Not sure what is going on there but very sad. WAS one of our favorite places. Will NOT go back. The staff here was super friendly! The space itself is pretty large and does have an outdoor seating option (when warm). The food was just okay. We got the veggie pizza and it was fine, not horrible but not amazing. Just your average pizza. The beer selection wasn't very diverse and I struggled to find something I wanted to drink, but they did have a halfway decent wine list. I ordered a Clevelander with 1st half banana peppers, there were banana peppers all over. The quality of the pizza was low a comment was even made that it looked like it was made yesterday and just kept in a heater. I also ordered the "meal" zucchini fries with ranch and marinara, did not receive the sauces and the fries are nowhere near fresh (soggy and limpy). My last straw was the fact that when I came in to pick up my order and asked for plates and napkins, it took the host 5 minutes to get them. The bag of plates and napkins included a kitchen sponge, a spoon with a sticker wrapped around and a half eaten garlic twist. I'm beyond disappointed in this place and hungry. I absolutely love the charm of this Bistro! From the minute you walk in the door you are greeted with warmth from the entire staff. We come a pretty long distance to eat here but it is worth the trip every single time! They are consistently serving up great food. I've tried the pizza, Salads, Pasta, and chicken and am always surprised at the quality and quantity of food. Love taking home left overs! They are very conscious about the covid situation and we felt 100% comfortable visiting. Our recent visit was a group of 10 and not one of us was disappointed in our meals! Four of us had lunch today and the food was good. However, it took 50 minutes to get 2 sandwiches, a salad, and a calzone. In addition the place is not clean. Old worn out tablecloths, the wall next to our table was splattered with old food, lots of dust and dirt on surfaces in the bathroom wasn't clean. Overall the restaurant was worn out and dirty. Zeppe's is a go to for my parents. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The menu is varied, mostly Italian. They offer a 55+ menu with smaller portions. Lots of choices on the menu. The pizza is very tasty. They offer a gluten free crust which was pretty good. It is difficult to make a good gluten free crust. The toppings are plentiful on the pizza. A friend told me the eggplant is her favorite. I plan on trying that. They offer covered, heated, outdoor seating. The bar area is always busy with what appears to be regulars. After a friend told us that the food is good we decided to stop in for lunch. We were greeted at the door and seated promptly, we were shocked that we were the only ones in there for lunch, while reading the menu we noticed the the table was sticky and still had bits of food on it, the floors looked like they haven't been swept in a while and there was food all over the window sills. After ten minutes from being seated the waitress finally decided to great us. I have to say looking around and the waitress being as unfriendly as possible are hope's were declining by the minute. We ordered the provolone wedges, a salmon ceaser salad and the meatball, pepperoni and parmesan pizza. To our surprise the food was pretty good. The marinara was tasty, the pizza was crispy and the salmon was cooked perfectly. A solid A-OK option in Hudson! Zeppe's is located in a part of Hudson that is lacking in local options. It's also near the Hudson movie theater and we found ourselves here before catching a film. I accidentally deleted my photos, but we ordered a few of the pasta specials for the table to split. To be honest, I can't even remember what we ordered. I remember thinking the portion felt a bit small but that all the pastas we had were what I expected. I do remember that the restaurant was huge and every single table was crowded. I have to give them props for how quickly they kept things moving despite how busy it was. We were able to get in and out in about an hour though I was prepared to be there for wayyyy longer. I also thought it was fun that they had non-alcoholic drinks like pomegranate sparklers. I'm not sure what it says that I can't remember much about the food, but I think next time we will go for the pizzas! read more

This place takeout commitments are terrible. Committed to 40-45 min wait time just to show up and wait another 25 min. They take your payment right away with a tip line in it, and then tell you a couple of min which turns into 25. And that was with me asking for a time commitment.
