Used to come here a lot, before moving out of state. Their brisket is always the star of the show. Pictured are the Brisket Nachos, Brisket dinner, burger and kids chicken quesadilla. Dinner was great overall, the only complaint was that one of their machines was broken so they couldn't serve any carbonated drinks . So, no sodas or club sodas. Service was great, our server was really nice and attentive. She made sure to check in on us, and bring the check at a good time. The place itself is a little dark, but it fits the vibe they're going for !

Stopped by Oak & Ember Tavern in Hudson and had a great experience overall. We tried Burton's Brisket, and it did not disappoint--smoked to perfection, tender, and packed with flavor. The green beans on the side were fresh and had good seasoning, though they were just a bit underdone for our taste. Their draft beer selection was solid, with a good variety to choose from. The drinks overall were well-crafted and added to the relaxed, upscale tavern vibe. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're into good barbecue and a quality drink menu. Quick and pleasant service!

My husband and I dined here with another couple a few weeks ago, and we won't be rushing to return. We thought most of the drinks and food items were pretty mediocre. I'd say the macaroni was probably the best food item ordered. What really made the experience unpleasant was a very off color comment our server made about bipolar disorder. Fortunately, no one at our table actually had that difficult mental health diagnosis, but obviously our server would not have known that at the time. As far as ambiance goes, there is outdoor seating available which would be a nice option for warmer months. The indoor atmosphere has a rustic vibe that's fairly attractive.

Stopped in for a little late lunch. (2:00pm). Prices are a little high for lunch ($19.50 for a bowl of mashed potatoes with some brisket and BBQ sauce). But the food was delicious! If I would have come for dinner, I wouldn't have thought anything about the price! Place was unusually empty, we think because it was prom night in the area, and the food came out super fast, which was good in the essence of time, but interesting that the meat was already precooked and waiting for customers? Restaurant was clean, server was super nice. I would be ok not going back here again, but if someone invited me, I certainly wouldn't decline the invite!

I chose the "no bun" option but added some red onions and lettuce, and onion rings instead of fries. I went Beyond Burger too and everything was solid. I'd order again and I'd be sure to get a bun next time, to be honest. Some places can do "no bun" with no mess but not this place.

I am a truffle QUEEN. All truffle everything is my motto. Unfortunately this burger had zero truffle flavor. The house made balsamic jam was the star of the show. It was absolutely incredible. However it overwhelmed every other item on the burger. I had to reread the description because I was convinced it was not what I had ordered. Same thing with my side. I upgraded my fries to ther parmesan ranch and truffle fries. I would say again it was the same thing. The fries were delicious. But they just tasted like a basic Parmesan fry. No ranch or truffle flavor to be had. All that to say, the food was incredible. If you said let's go to an amazing burger spot and I did not know about the truffle flavors or ranch fries, I would have been over the moon thrilled. All-in-all the food flavor and quality - 5 star and the translation of menu description to food - 2 stars.

They don't have a specific gluten free menu but there plenty of things you can change up or they are naturally gluten free. The stuffed Hungarian peppers appetizer is an awesome started to go with. The pepper has a comfortable amount of spice to it. The red sauce with the sausage is a good combination. Definite try. The pizza crust is always a hit or miss at places with a GF crust, but the crust is a big winner here. The cheese blend pairs nicely with the sausage and pepperoni. Filling and satisfying! The burger was enjoyed. Not a favorite fir my dad, but has plenty of other burgers to get there. My brother got the Featured Italian Wrap. We all looked at his plate at how BIG it was. He had one half at the restaurant, and the other half, the next day. Wow though. This was something that didn't get shorted at all. Haley was our waitress that. A super sweet and attentive girl. She checked on our GF questions with the kitchen if she wasn't a hundred percent certain saying yes or no. Preseason football is starting, so more people began to show up to sit at the bar to watch. And they have a very busy local band schedule for the summer on their patio outside. So, check it out if you're interested. Seems like a fun place when it gets to be the warmer weather season. Will definitely return.

I paid $17 for mussels, they were the smallest I've ever had and the broth tasted like they poured wine in it after it was cooked. The rest of my party were not happy with their meals either. Very disappointed in the meal, as one person in my group said, $20 bucks for a burger with no flavor. Oh well, not again. I give this spot a solid 3.

The location has undergone some positive decor changes in the past year or so. It is much more welcoming than it was before and just feels like a place to be comfortable. Maybe it is the bar stools that make that happen. :) Best bar stools around! The afternoon crew that sits on the corner by the garage door is a great group of people who welcome in anyone to join their group and just have some fun conversation. It gets pretty comical with those guys, so be prepared. Speaking of the garage door...it opens to a very large deck area that can get pretty busy during the summers. There is a good amount of seating out there as well as some patio furniture to just sit down and relax. Inside is mostly high top tables, but there are a lot of booths for people who like that type of seating. The group of bartenders and servers are quality at this point. They do their jobs quickly, and want you to enjoy yourself.

When the best things you can say about an eating establishment is "My server was very friendly and…read morenice...when she decided to come by the table" or "Oh, yeah, they have one of my favorite, rare beverages on tap"...that's just not good overall. Definitely a sports bar with a bunch of people there for the games but the lighting was a little too low and the volume a tad too high for my preference. Not because people were cheering, but that's just how it was. I will say they had a truly eclectic array of patrons...hippies, yuppies, blue collar, white collar...that was cool to see. Now the food...their fold over (think all things pizza without the crust) was good but the Italiano Philly...though amazing in thought...not so much in execution. The amount of toppings was great but on such little bread that you couldn't pick it up without the lettuce and tomatoes falling off. Normally not an issue but the Philly was loaded with such salty ingredients that without the "salad" the sandwich was so salty that it literally burned my tongue and throat. It took 20 minutes to receive both tap drinks...the first one came at 5 minutes. The other took 15. It was about 40 minutes until the food came out. Cold. Flaccid, unseasoned fries. Disproportionate sandwich. An hour for subpar food and service....that's just not my thing.
