I have been to many frozen custard places and the chocolate custard here ranks as #1 in my opinion. (Tied with a place in Portland that's no longer in business!) By far the best experience at an ice cream shop. They had a little of everything! Which made decisions even harder. We decided to do a bubble wrap which is a freshly baked waffle!!! Yeah amazing! Than your choice of ice cream than toppings. We also got a mini frozen chocolate banana for my baby. She loved it!! It was probably the size of my index finger. We also had a few ice cream sandwiches. We will be returning to try some other things because it was that good. And the lady who helped me was so sweet and helped us through our choices. What a refreshing treat on a hot day after a visit to the poppy fields!! The owner was nice and gave us all the samples we wanted (but we were courteous to those behind us and only had 2 each). The Arctic Freeze is the way to go if you want to sample both their Italian ices and their frozen custard. The custard is creamy and dense, like a proper frozen custard should be! The Italian ices were nothing like Rita's, because they were better and didn't taste artificial. The blood orange, limonata, and apricot were our favorites. In a small, you get two layers of custard and two layers of ice, so you can try a lot in one small cup. They also have candy, churro ice cream sandwiches, gelato, and cookie ice cream sandwiches. I was impressed that they had green apple flavor one day but hadnt felt the need to dye it some awful shade of green to prove the point. Let's start with the good, the customer service was great people were cool. Now the establishment was kind of run down and everywhere. On one side you got a wall of candy and stuff another corner you got sun glasses then behind the counter you got CBD oils and the such. Then you have a wall of cereals and a list of ice creams, but there wasn't any direction. Nothing that states what they can do or you can get, it's just kind of play it by ear. Everything in cups no bowls and if you get the bubble waffle there barely any ice cream in it. As for the ice cream I tried the chocobanana now the banana flavor was cool but the only thing choco was the thin layer of chocolate on the top. Oh and uh there was this guy butchering my hero by foo fighters using just the chorus so having to sit through that was a bit of a pain but hey keep practicing man, maybe just when no customers are there. read more

I think we found our new favorite frozen dessert spot. The wife has been her several times and I finally got a chance to experience the deliciousness myself. Italian ice... yum. Frozen custard... yum. Combine the two and you get double the yummy goodness. My girls like the lemon and blood orange ice, I'm a fan of the mango. I'm sure I'll end up trying all the flavors eventually. They also have a large array of toppings if you wish to go that route. We also tried the smores sandwich which was also tasty. The guy serving us was very friendly and helpful. We have always received our orders quickly. If you are not sure what flavor to pick you can always sample the ones you would want before making a choice. One cool little tidbit is that they have color changing spoons that turns blue with the coldness. How cool! The place is nicely decorated and super clean. The girl serving us was very friendly and let us sample as many of the flavors as we wanted. I had the pineapple ice with vanilla custard! So good, especially on a hot day. Nice new dessert option in Lancaster. My family and I visited Zero Degrees during a recent trip to the weekly farmer's market. The place was clean and the employees were energetic and helpful. They explained the offerings and offered samples. They have a large variety of Italian Ice flavors and supplement this with the frozen custard. The custard was only available in vanilla, chocolate or swirl. I had hoped they would have additional custard flavors. The desserts were rich in flavor and smooth. A much needed diversion from Ice Cream and Frozen Yogurt. The atmosphere of the place was a little bare however. Hopefully it is just because they only opened a few weeks ago. Would be nice to see more comfort in the restaurant with artwork and a few more tables and chairs. Definitely check it out though as the desserts make up for the lack of a comforting feel in the building. Will return in the future. read more

I love this place! I have grown sick of the frozen yogurt craze and Zero Degrees hit the spot. Their Italian ice is like none I've tried before. It is smooth and creamy! Absolutely delicious! I had an Artic Freeze with coconut ice and chocolate custard and my daughter got watermelon and cotton candy ices. It was all yummy! Customer service was great! My only suggestion is to get a smaller children's size. My 9 year old ate half of her small and declared herself full. She has a real sweet tooth, so this is unusual.
