Let me preface this by saying I love both strawberries and cheesecakes separately. I also love strawberry cheesecakes as a dessert. This is a good drink. I like strawberry drinks; I had a strawberry fruit tea with aloe vera or something like that from Share Tea Woodlands yesterday. The drink yesterday was good. Getting back on topic, this drink is okay. It needs LESS strawberry and a LOT more cheesecake. It tastes like a strawberry slush. The QQ of the tapioca is good though. The workers were nice. I didn't tip though because my money isn't up like that rn, so my bad guys. Had a blast here just waiting for my stuff but the chicken kind of came out a bit late. This one girl there was so beautiful. (I don't know if that was Yelp-appropriate but I just had to say it.) Have a good day.
Ting is extremely nice. She took care of our order. The ice cream here tastes like yogurt. Not sure if it's real ice cream or yogurt but it's really good. The presentation is really nice and every thing tastes really good. I have tried the Cookie Monster and my son god the spicy watermelon. We both liked them a lot. Two things though: The smell. My god it smells pretty bad in there lol. Not sure what it is but it's a very distinct not so good smell. The heat. It's pretty hot at this location. Not sure if the ac just doesn't work good or that it struggles when it's at full capacity. We are waiting on our drinks now and it's pretty hot. All and all if you are in the area I would give them a shot. Very nice locally owned franchise
After attending a UYE, some of us yelpies wanted to finish the event, with some dessert cravings. We found out that a new location had opened on the north part of town. I noticed that there was a check-in offer on yelp for a free topping. It is relatively smaller than the Bellaire location, and it could get cramped up, once the restaurant becomes busy. We ordered the Ube milkshake which came with marshmallow stick and a fruit roll up, the lychee crusher ( which was so refreshing) and the Mangonada, which had fresh mangoes stacked out on a straw. All of our drinks were delicious, and satisfied our dessert pangs. I was already planning on my 10k run to burn these carblicious calories that I had undertaken. While it may not be the healthiest option, these drinks definitely are worth trying out.
Last year I came it was wonderful (photos attached). Great drinks and elote. This time it seems like the cucumber limade is not fresh and no cucumber in it. Also asked for a box combo which was on the menu and was told it's not available cause it's not in the register anymore. Staff was also not wearing masks for the Covid pandemic. Just feels like this place isn't where it was a year ago. Don't know if I'll travel for this level of service again.
A new Zero Degrees on the north side of town. If you check in on Yelp, you can a free topping of your choice. This location a bit smaller than the one on Bellaire, but they have a nice outdoor seatings. A bit cramp inside when it gets crowded inside. Pretty much the same menu. I got an ube smoothie with lychee boba as my free topping. The ube smoothie came out looking like a magical unicorn. The taste is similar to taro. It came with a rainbow marshmallow stick and a fruit roll-up. Their mangonada had plenty of flavors from sour, sweet, and spicy. It also came with fresh mangoes fanning out on a straw. Another drink that surprised me was the lychee crusher. It was very refreshing. Staff was friendly, helping me with what I want. Nicely decorated inside and out. A great place to grab dessert. Not ideal to sit inside when it gets too crowded because it can be hard to hear the other person talk.
I don't ever leave reviews but this has been one of the most horrible experiences. Starting off with HORRIBLE customer service, it took 25 minutes for 1 drink. I ordered the carne asada fries & they didn't even have any! she tried to upsell something completely different rather than offering a refund first.
New place on the northside! Now I no longer have to drive down to Bellaire to fulfill my Ube obsession! I recommend: - Ube smoothie - sea salt green tea - popcorn chicken - hot cheeto fries - strawberry lychee slush Place is nice and clean. Spacious outdoor seating where my lil Tupac and I can both enjoy our snacks and drinks.
I've been to both this location and their original Houston location in Bellaire. Lines are always long at both locations and I'm never really impressed with the drinks. They're mostly all for show and don't taste anywhere as good as they look. I've had their sea salt Jasmine, Viet coffee, Thai tea, lychee drink, matcha milk tea, and mangonada and have not been impressed by any of them. The mangonada was especially disappointing with its icy texture and extremely sour mangoes. The only thing that I would say is actually good is their food. Their popcorn chicken box comes with cajun fries, vegetables, popcorn chicken, and a drink for 12.50 and their fries are skinny and super crunchy. The chicken is also meaty and not over-fried. There are many better tapioca/drink places around Houston and I only go to zero degrees when I'm forced by my friends.
Came at 12:30 pm during the grand opening and the line was out the door. An hour later I finally reached the register and ordered the lychee crush, strawberry horchata, peach blossom, jasmine milk tea, and matcha milk tea all for $12 (BOGO)!! Lychee crush - sweet and refreshing and filled with bits of strawberry - highly recommend! I got light ice but it was still almost halfway filled... will get no ice next time. Strawberry horchata - a new favorite; the cinnamon and strawberry surprisingly complement each other well. All in all, a fantastic addition to the boba repertoire up north. Will wait for the hype to die down before coming back but I definitely will.
I am glad there is a Zero degrees closer to home on the North side of Houston, I just wish it was a tad bit bigger but you can't fix that. I have tried the Coffee Horchata, House Coffee, Matcha Milk tea, Thai Milk tea and Matchata. I have had sips of Sea Salt Green Tea, and peach blossom from my wife. I have learned that I am not a fan of the more fruity type drinks because it taste more artificial than authentic. I enjoyed the Matacha milk tea and house coffee. The drink with Horchata in it were good but after a while the amount of Horchata kind of water down the other flavor of either Matacha of Coffee. I think it should be a 50/50 ratio instead of a 30/70 ratio. Even if you shake it up it doesn't make much of a difference. I wouldn't order the boba next time. Once you have had tasty flavorful boba you always want that taste when you have it. I did order the salt and pepper popcorn chicken (good price for the amount) which was delicious if you eat it right away. I had a few bites there while waiting on the rest of the order but when I took it home it got soggy ( what hot food doesn't get soggy when it trapped in a container except soups). They will ask you what dipping sauce you want but not tell you that it cost extra unless you see the dipping sauce prices on the menu. If you are not observant of small print this is your heads up! I was confused about prices on the paper menu and the menu on the board because the one on the board was .25-.50 more. Who knows? I would have given 3.5 but gave it a 4 since you round up on .5 Enjoy!
Wow, whatever happened to this place? They used to be bustling and full all of the time with almost seemingly happy people behind the counter in constant flow of energy. Forward a few years later and as I sit down at a table looking around I can see a bunch of remnants and ghost like remnants that goes down with any age of a business after a year or two. The newness definitely is gone with the scarred up walls, the tables that are sticky and not cleaned or staff for anybody to clean them, the very dirty interior windows following by stickers stuck on them from dozens of posters before.. Along with this, if you were lucky enough to get an unfortunate encounter hell that would give you the feeling that they would rather not be here and would rather be in a thousand other places that will have you been thinking of the atmosphere in depression by piano music? I remember coming in here and listening to spunky electronic New Age spiky hair Neon Lights underneath your Honda type music. Time to look down the road or other businesses that just opened up for our maybe in a Newark fashion. So long zero, you are about to hit zero stars in another year, if you last. read more

I think this location has improved quite a bit since it's first year opening. The wait has decreased drastically, and drinks are made at a much faster rate. Quality has been consistent, which I appreciate. Love the fries and nuggets! Fresh is always best! Parking can be quite a hassle since the lot is so small and shared with other neighboring businesses. Be extra cautious and drive slower than usual. People roam in and out the lot like race car drivers. read more

This has been my second time coming to this place and I always love it. The drinks are very good and so is the food. Every time I come to this place it's quiet and calm, but I love the decor and the new addition of sticky notes with drawings and messages all over the windows. read more

Lets start by saying the popcorn chicken is godly lol it tastes kinda like fried pork skin but its so good! Service isnt the fastest but my food is always served pipping hot which is good ! Always a clean ambiance as well read more

These over priced icees are rediculous came & bought 3 drinks 2 cookies & cream both tasted like ice & milk & chocolate syrup. Ot just did not add up to the price. Won't be back so you may want to try 31 flavors or somewhere else Because this is not the place to be. read more

I was sad to say that I didn't like this place so close to home. I was hoping to have a good tea place to go to. The place is cute and it was clean. However the staff was not friendly and seemed annoyed that customers were there. The seemed bothered and just dragged when getting the order. It wasn't even a busy time. The drinks- I like traditional teas so this place is not for me. Everything is very sweet and the prices are higher than typical tea places. The only reason I gave 2 stars was bc my kids did like the food. read more

First impression: The ube milkshake is the bommmmmb! We have come here twice already and have tried the spicy chicken (read spicccy!) You will pay more here for a boba drink, but you are definitely getting your money's worth. If there ever was a premium boba drink, this is the place. Update: 07/03/19 we just came in, and the service has taken a turn for the worse. It is family run, and one of the children has his girlfriend behind the counter, and talking it up with her. Didn't even stop to pay attention that I walked up to the register. I ordered my drink from a second person, who couldn't do it, and had to call a manager from the rear. I wanted to get two mangonadas as they had a yelp checkin, which the manager informed me that they don't honor their own check in any longer. I cut my order in half, and this will be the last time we come by. We used to like this location, drinks and their food. read more

So I saw this spot hyped up on fb and I decided to give it a shot. The food looked great so I was hella excited. I took my bestie and we were ready to roll. Got there in time for the lunch special which seemed great. I ordered the Carne Asada Fries and the Strawberry Lime Aide. Upon receiving notification that my food was ready, I was excited. I got to the counter and picked up my order and was a bit confused on what was going on with the order. No where on the board did it make mention that the fries are spicy. So I give it a shot anyway. I'm not good with spicy foods. Two bites in, I know it's not going to work. I head back to the counter and the employees look at me like I cursed their mother. I inform them that I can't eat spicy food and the young lady proceeds to tell me that I should have read the board.... I did and no where did it mention spicy. I would have asked for it non spicy. She then proceeded to give me attitude when I asked for something else. The second item was better for me, and I truly enjoyed the popcorn chicken. What I did not enjoy was the helping of attitude that I received from the staff. I didn't care for their demeanor once I asked to change my order. Once was enough. I'm good on Zero Degrees and I won't spend another buck here for sub par service with an attitude! I can go to Waffle House for that! read more

Today I tried the new flavor milk tea: Tiger Sugar Milk and was so disappointed It is just like regular milk + honey boba, nothing special. The milk is not good, not tasty and not sweet. Plus, it made us felt full too quickly after drinking. Food are good, as always. read more

Zero Degrees has THE BEST popcorn chicken! I usually order the spicy salt & pepper flavor with Cajun fries. The Parmesan flavored fries is not so great. My #1 drink is Thai Tea with honey boba. Other drinks are good as well but I always crave for their Thai Tea. This location is pretty clean. No complaints on service and wait time so far! read more
Went here on Sunday for a smoothie and small snack to tie us over until dinner. Had the pink lychee, cookie monster and mild popcorn chicken. The pink lychee was delicious, the cookie monster was ok (it's icy instead of creamy) and the chicken was fabulous (but pretty spicy for mild). My kid can't eat spicy but she couldn't stop eating it. She made us go back again the next day for dinner. This time we had the pink lychee, mangonada, no spice popcorn chicken and garlic noodles. Mangonada is really good, chicken was really good and garlic noodles were good but could kill a vampire (so watch out). read more
The first thing you'll notice about this shop is that it's pretty small. You'll be lucky to find a table if you want to dine in, which is unfortunate because they have great drinks and food! Their menu is displayed above the register and they also have paper menus at the front. The hardest part is deciding what you want to drink. So, so many good choices. The Mangonada is a great pick if you enjoy tangy things. I fell in love! The Cookie Monster shake is a rich chocolate, which is great for a sweet tooth. The Thai Milk Tea and Sea Salt Green Tea are also good (but not comparable to one of their signature drinks). I was hesitant to order food because it was pretty pricey, but decided to get the full experience. The Popcorn Chicken Combo came with so much tasty food. If you're like me, it will last you 2+ meals (because your drink will fill you up too)! I also ordered the much beloved Hot Cheetos Cheese Fries which looked AMAZING, but I was a little disappointed with the taste. It was pretty good, but you don't get enough of the Hot Cheetos flavor since it's maybe half of an individual bag of crushed Cheetos. Great item to try, but I wouldn't get it again. Will definitely be back to try all those signature drinks, though! read more
My family was eating in the area and wanted something sweet to end the meal so we came here to try out some drinks. Service is friendly and helpful. THAI MILK TEA This drink wasn't bad. I could taste the strong thai flavor and the sweetness of the condensed milk. It was the perfect combo of heavy flavors and sweetness. CUCUMBER LIME- cucumber limeade with crushed mint leaves I do like this cucumber limeade. It's very refreshing and not overly sweet. The mint was very aromatic and the flavors were light. It's definitely something to order on a hot day. PINK LYCHEE- strawberry lychee slush with fresh strawberry hearts I wanted to try this drink because of the picture. The lychee flavor was very delicate and light, but had a really good sweetness to it. I did like the lychee and strawberry combo, but I would've liked more strawberries. STRAWBERRY MOJITO- fresh strawberries with crushed mint leaves and chia seeds This drink isn't bad. It's a very fruity drink with lots of different textures, but it's just too sweet. I would like this drink, but with way less sugar. STRAWBERRY BLISS- strawberry peach green tea with fresh strawberry and chia seed This drink is similar to the strawberry mojito, but it didn't have that minty refreshing flavor. It was sweet and it had some nice textures from the chia seed. I like the combo of the fruity strawberry with the herbal green tea flavor. Not bad and their menu has a lot of different options. read more

The only thing that kills this place a bit is the parking. Other than that, it has decent pricing for what you get. I came here on a Sunday, but it got packed. You get interesting options and other things like a travel bottle with drink. You can get split drinks and other. This is a place to try something new. But it's a bit far from where we live. Better than not going at all. Got me a Matchada which is a split from green tea and horchata and got me honey and crystal boba. read more

I'm visiting Houston for two weeks and this was the first place my family brought me to. I thought it was neat how many unique drinks they had. We ordered a popcorn chicken meal, a carne asada meal, and hot cheeto cheese fries to eat. For drinks, we ordered a split cup of matcha & Thai tea, pink lychee, and a mangonada. The popcorn chicken was really salty, smelled, and tasted weird. The carne asada and hot cheeto cheese fries were good. I really like how crispy the fries are and they didn't taste too salty. I got the mangonada because I never had anything like it before and it was pretty good. My boyfriend's split cup of matcha & Thai tea was also good, the Thai tea was really good. My siblings really liked their pink lychee drink, I tasted it and liked it also. The service was good, the girl that took our order was nice & patient and I liked that she read our order back to us. The drinks were made fast but we had to wait a little for the food. I would want to go here again to try different drinks and get more fries but wouldn't order any chicken again and would be okay without having the carne asada again. read more

Asian-Hispanic drink/food fusion eatery: Split cups are a great idea! For $5.50, I got the strawberry bliss + strawberry horchata and for $4.75 +$0.50 got the 16 oz pick lychee drink. All were flavorful and refreshing. I understand why this place gets packed. It's a great place to pass the Houston heat. read more

Tried Zero Degrees for the first time to see what the hype was all about but was a little disappointed. The hot Cheetos elote barely had any actual corn. You can literally buy a can of corn for one dollar and maybe $5 for a bag of hot Cheetos and a Parmesan container. Sadly, there was about 20% corn and 50% Parmesan and 30% hot cheeto powder... not to mention the corn was barely warm. Tasted like cheese puffs after someone had chewed it a regurgitated it into your mouth. I grew up in a primarily Hispanic neighborhood so I'm just sayin' to expect some Americanized el-oh-tay. Now onto their "famous" mangoadas. It honestly felt like more of a spicy tajín slush with a HINT of mango. Not to mention the mangos on top were HARD and SOUR. I don't know where y'all are getting those good mangonadas but this one was just terrible. Maybe it was the girl with the pink hair and the nose ring who made it, maybe it was something else. But definitely would not pay for a 16oz cup of tajín juice again. read more

Obviously lots of other people have heard about this place and are just as curious, as the line was literally out the door. I ordered the strawberry horchata with tapioca and it was absolutely delicious! I can't wait to come back and try their food and some of the other crazier drinks. Everything I saw looked like it was straight out of a magazine. The place was wall to wall with people so it seemed like it would have been hard to find a seat if I had planned to eat/drink there, but it may have just been due to it being a weekend day. read more

Split Cups are so smart! You can try two different flavors. I had Lychee Crush and Thai Milk Tea. The other split cup we had was Matcha Milk Tea and Thai Milk Tea. The best one out of those three flavors was the Matcha Milk Tea! Not too sweet, but still has flavor. I would definitely go here again because there's so many more items i would like to try read more

I've been seeing zero degrees popping all over Instagram since last year with all their vibrant insta feed, so I was excited to try it when they opened up in the north side! The drinks are pretty good! I got the split cup with sea salt green tea and strawberry horchata. Both great options! The strawberry horchata kinda reminds me of the left over milk that you get after eating cinnamon toast crunch cereal, but with strawberries! The food are good here too! I got the chicken box with the salt and pepper chicken in mild and truffle fries. The fries are meh.... it's too skinny and hard for my taste. I feel like I'm eating burnt fries. But the chicken though.... Juicy and the right amount of crisp and flavor! The elotes and chicharrones really compliment each other. Never had them together, but I'm digging it.
