Ohhhhh Zesto. How you brought me joy at the end of a Decided that since I was on auntie duty that after picking my nephew up from school, I'd go back to a place that I use to love to stop by when I lived in the area. We stopped in around 5:30 on a Thursday afternoon and it was pretty quiet which meant it would be easy to order and get our sweet treat. The service was wonderful. We walked in and a young lady promptly greeted us with a smil and friendly convo. I ordered an Oreo attic blast ($6.59 + tax) and my nephew decided on a vanilla milkshake ($5.59 + tax). Not too bad for two delicious treats and mine was full of Oreos chunks. It was soooooo good and it took me a minute to finish because of the size. Definitely need to come back here more often and maybe grab some food next time because some of those good ol classic food items were calling me butttt not as much as the ice cream. There was barely any steak in that burrito and they charged $15 for it. If they were short on steak or something, they should've told me so I could order something different but to pass off a rice and bean burrito as a steak burrito and charge $15 for it is quite ridiculous. read more

When I walked in the cashier was speaking with a customer. I waited . After she was seat he just looked at me without greeting me or anything so I asked " Is this where I place an order ? He said yes I ordered kids meals . Asked if I could sub the fry for a tot he never mentioned a upcharge. So he asked you want plain hot dog I said no with everything he said I don't know what that is I said just ketchup and mustard. He gave me my receipt and a tiny cup and walked away. A few minutes later another customer came in he greeted him gave him a number stick for his table and large cup . The tots were fried beyond eating and the hot dog was rubbery. There were another man with a receding hairline scratching his face and cleaning his nails with his nails and packing food. I will never go there again read more

Had a great experience here...I haven't been here in years and kind of forgot about it...but was in the Tyrone area so my son and I went here. Lots of people inside so thought it must be popular and good. Food was made fresh and hot, people were friendly, management was present up front, they came out to wipe off tables...just a great experience overall! Kind of an old school burger joint feel. The Chili dogs are great, they come with slaw. The onion rings are delicious. I also like their Steak burger.

The food is good and consistent. I only gave 4 stars because though I go here often, I have never been inside- yet outside service is manageable. The line is always so long, but the wait is worth it. read more

I should've walked out but chalked it up to all the different types of food they sell. We were there for the $.70 sprinkles ice cream cones for my girls. Ordered them and walked out to head home with our ice cream. At the same time, we all looked at each other and asked "does your ice cream taste funny?" Tingly taste like the ice cream was spoiled or they haven't cleaned the machine in a while. Either way, we all started feeling the same symptoms. Chest burning followed by stomach ache. We only ate a little, hate to see what would've happened had we eaten more. *** CoronaVirus - A License to Steal Alert *** While it is true that Zesto's has some of the best, if not THE best, soft serve ice cream, they are now charging a Zesto's "Convenience fee" of 25 cents when you use a credit card. Not sure but this may be a violation of the credit card agreements with Visa/MasterCard etc. because is discourages the use of the credit card. Okay, so "It's only a quarter" right?" If you need that quarter that bad, summon the courage to raise your prices. "It's easier to steal $1 from a million people than $1 million from one person." This Nuisance fee makes me feel like they are trying to rip me off. Given that business are begging for change during the CoronaVirus Plague AND no one want to touch money to reduce the chance of getting this plague AND using a credit card would reduce the chances of spreading the plague to Zesto's Customers AND employees... What goodwill do they think they are gaining with this rip off "convenience" fee? read more

I wasn't expecting to write a review today, but I have no choice. Because today I was served what can only be described as the most tragic cheeseburger in American history... I stopped by Zesto around 6:30, because I was starving, and it was open. I've always wanted to like Zesto, because they try to be ambitious, but every single time I've eaten at any of the locations I have been nothing but enormously disappointed. Yesterday, my Zesto experience was so tragically pathetic, that it actually became comical. I was in a rush, so I hit the drive through to try and get something relatively quickly. I figured a single cheeseburger would suffice to hold me over until I had time to actually get real food, and having had Zesto before I knew the chicken was not a viable option. After spending far too much time in the drive through line, I eventually paid $3.49 for just the burger, and then waited patiently for five minutes or so for my food. While waiting, I read the sign on the drive through window, which reminded me of the importance of patience, and assured me it was necessary, because my food was being "cooked to order." I finally get handed the bag containing my single cheeseburger, and as soon as I reach in the bag to grab it, I notice something is wrong. "Wtf... I didn't order a pancake. Did they get my order wrong?" I think to myself. Having been made curious by this unexpected development, I pull out the very flat, and carelessly wrapped parcel inside the bag, and begin to unwrap it. What I find is so shocking it sends me into a fit of uncontrollable laughter at the traffic light leaving the restaurant. I, in a moment of spontaneous hunger, have managed to come face to face with the saddest, most tragic, most hopelessly depressing cheeseburger in my countries history. There is absolutely no other way to describe it, if this cheeseburger were a component of a history class, it would undoubtedly be the Great Depression. If it were a car it would be a Soviet Trabant. If it were a pet, you'd take it to be put down immediately. Up until this moment, that will live in infamy for at least the rest of my life, I had no idea that something as simple as a cheeseburger could actually become a tragedy. It was so bad that I've been thinking about it for hours. It's very existence raises questions. I still don't know why the entire sandwich was thinner than my iPhone. I did not know, up until that moment, that stale hamburger buns could actually be measured in nanometers. I didn't know microwaves got hot enough to turn undersized pucks of frozen, unseasoned ground beef into hard carbon pucks, which if utilized correctly would almost certainly find a new home in the saw blade section at Home Depot. I honestly expect the physicists at the Large Hadron Collider will want to know how it is that ground beef could be rendered so hot, that it turns to pure carbon, and yet that heat could still fail to melt a tasteless slice of cheese product. If the scientists are successful, that cheese might replace Nomex as the fire retardant material in the suits worn by firefighters and racing drivers. Never in my life did I think a bad cheeseburger could bring about an existential crisis, or that food could actually be so bad that it would actually become hilarious. But that was all before I went to Zesto... I don't normally have the presence of mind to photograph my food, despite having once been a professional photographer with years of experience, but this was different. My instincts kicked in, because I knew then that I wasn't just taking a picture of my food, I was going to be documenting history. In my car, at that very moment, on that unassuming day, was the cheeseburger equivalent of Pearl Harbor, and I had an obligation to capture and document it, to serve as a warning from history. The cheeseburger was so sad that a still of its image alone could have been an advertisement for pharmaceutical anti-depressants, or maybe Valium, provided Sarah McLaughin would be willing to license the rights to her music to play in the background. This was not the fault of the employees, even though I suspect one might have smashed my burger with their skull at some inconceivable force, while banging their head against the food prep counter. This is, and has been my experience with Zesto for many years, and across multiple counties. Somehow I paid 350% the price of a double cheeseburger from McDonalds, and got the equivalent sandwich, except it was comprised of pure, and absolutely unadulterated sadness. Thank God they have that sign at the drive through to remind customers to be patient because the food is being cooked to order. Because if I knew what I was getting into in advance, I would have floored the accelerator and driven my car into the nearby theater on purpose just to avoid having to ever write a review about the most depressing cheeseburger in American history. read more

The food has always been a little more expensive here than comparable places, but I go there because it's convenient and I like to support local businesses. I ordered a burger combo that cost $8.29 in the drive-thru. The girl tells me at the window that the total is $9.97. Wait, that doesn't add up. How much was my combo? It was $8.29, then the add on for changing condiments, then the fee charged for using a credit card, comes to $9.97. Every other restaurant is requesting we use cards because of COVID-19 and some supposed coin shortage. Zesto charges extra for it. read more

Not the best customer service, but solid food and amazing ice cream. The ice cream kind of reminds me frozen custard, less milky and icy than regular places, and much softer like soft serve. I always get an arctic blast, their version of a DQ blizzard. The wings are really good, too, always crispy and the buffalo sauce is just spicy enough. Lots of options... burgers, fries, tots, burritos, nachos, ice cream and more. We've been here a few times, usually when my in-town native hubby is craving a Chubby Decker. It's clean and the staff is fine. We've had several selections and everything has been good, though the "Burrito Brothers" selections are a little on the bland side. The "Zesto" selections are very true to the brand, including the truly yummy ice cream. My only complaint is that my very favorite Zesto item, for which I've been known to drive up to Ponce especailly, is missing: the chocolate-raspberry shake. If you have the time to wait for fresh cooked food then you should consider Zesto's for a slightly upscale fast food visit. Traditionally a burger and ice cream joint this location feature Burrito Brother's dishes and Brooster's Chicken, again all cooked to order so you may want to call ahead for a bucket of chicken. The staff is friendly and a mix of veteran service folks and new younger hires, this doesn't seem to affect the overall wait time but always make sure to double check your order with the new folks. There isn't anything special about Zesto's over any other chain per say but the overall fresh cooking, variety of the menu, and friendly service make it above average in my opinion! read more

This location offers some Mexican items such as burritos, nachos, and tacos, but it also offers some of the diner items offered at other Zesto restaurants like hot dogs, hamburgers, and gyros. I try to eat here whenever I'm in the area. I usually have the Chubby Decker or a double cheeseburger with chili on it or a footlong or the chicken for my meal. The nachos supremo is also very good and it's such a large portion I usually take the rest of it home. Their ice cream is also very good. My wife enjoys eating here also. read more

I pondered, weak and weary, about why Zesto's would open up a location offering second-rate burritos, decorate it with a Southwestern motif, and call it Burrito Brothers. . . Then it hit me - Sonic is just a few yards away serving food very similar to Zesto's. Sonic has better name recognition, and a big national advertising budget, so it's tough to compete. A burrito theme exploits a narrow and underserved niche. So, what's Zesto's? It's a local chain with similar offering to Dairy Queen. It's OK, and the soft ice cream deserts are pretty good (in fact, the Coffee Toffee Arctic Swirl makes it on Creative Loafing's 100 things to eat before you die list), but I don't get the cult status it has among its devotees. The burritos don't really improve it for me. The rice is plain, the burrito is smaller than competitors by an inch or so, the price is a little stiff, and the cheese is shredded American or very mild cheddar. The steak was ok, but nothing special. The salsas were the highlight - the red spicy salsa was good (even if it was not fresh) and the tomatillo salsa was sour and was close enough to fresh for me. Overall, I prefer BB slightly over the overseasoned glop served at Moe's, but the best description I can give it is "soulless". It's just not very special. However, given the limited offerings in the area, this place provides a squeaky-clean, pretty big, and family friendly place to bring kids and gather with other families after church or school events, or just because. read more
