Sprinkles! Sprinkles on Soft Serve Ice Cream! This place makes me feel like I'm 8. I swear I almost squeal every time the car somehow finds itself sitting in the drive-thru, the googly eyes looking at me from the wall as I start to drool, just a bit at the corners of my mouth, at the thought of the soft serve goodness and all the summer (and sometimes winter) memories it brings back. I know they have all sorts of things - but the primary draw for me to Zesto's is ... Soft Serve Ice Cream. And it is Good. Reminds me of that it used to taste like. It doesn't melt 'too fast' nor does it somehow resist any heat or time in some strange, unnatural state. The topics are many and delightful. Bright Colors, Dark Colors. Excited to return to Zesto after moving away. It's been 4 years! Everyone's ice cream was yummy and just as we remembered except the peanut butter buckeye. This used to be the best with actual buckeye pieces and now it's a grainy peanut butter ice cream with chocolate chips in it. Not the same. Oh well. read more

Absolutely worst experience with the New Albany location tonight. Called to complain about service and was called an idiot by the male manager on duty. I asked to speak with the owner and was laughed at. This location has gone seriously downhill and will not return to this location or any other location due to the unprofessional of the staff. read more

Top 3 favs: Cake batter Oreo vortex(extra oreo) Chilli cheese dog I love Zestos and the Charlestown road location is the bomb! Holly is sweet and friendly each time we decide to stop in for a treat. It was 9:00pm and I got a craving for the Cake batter ice cream they have so my boyfriend and I pop in the car and head over. I live 2 minutes down the road but I did feel bad because theyl close at 9:30..we were cutting it close. As always, when we pulled up, there was a line of at least 6 cars and people lined up outside. Now the time is 9:15pm, they are supposed to close in 15 minutes. In all reality they most likely didn't end up leaving until well after 10pm but they were all still so nice!! There was a gentleman at the window( I believe he is the owner or manager) that gave us our order and he was very pleasant as well!! really great place to go if you have a sweet tooth :) read more

All I can say is YUM! If you like frozen yogurt, you'll love Zestos! Friendly employees and lots of options. I certainly recommend them.

The next time you are in the sleepy lil' burg of New Albany, do yourself a favor and stop by at the ice cream joint that time forgot. Every time I make the trek back to the ole home state I always pop in at least once (only during the summer months, too cold in the winter) for the best ice cream in southern Indiana. Butterscotch malts and Snicker sundaes (vanilla ice cream, chocolate, ice cream, caramel, ice cream, chocolate, whipped cream , nuts, and a small snickers in a parfait cup) are always tops of the pops for me. Weird side note: only staffed by teenage girls with matching uniforms except for headbands with different colors that represent their hierarchical order that I haven't been able to decode. Make sure you tip well, due to the fact that the business is only seasonal, the workers receive a significantly lower minimum wage. read more

I grew up within walking distance of this Zesto, a lot of great memories. They have always had a friendly staff and amazing ice cream. When I was a kid I used to always get the Superman hand-dipped ice cream, but usually I get a soft-serve twist with sprinkles. I've tried many other things there and they have all been great, but I'm a creature of habit. Zesto's opening day is one of my favorite days of the year! read more

I went through the drive-thru for a milkshake and was very pleased with what I got. The ice cream was rich, the shake was thick, but viscous enough to be drunk through the extra wide straw. The chocolate was chocolatey but not overly sweet or too fudgey. The shake was good enough that I'd try their hot dogs on another day! read more

I really want to like Zesto's. It's nearby. It's locally owned. My kids love it. But every time I've tried a new flavor or a new type, I'm disappointed. This past week, I was lured in by the promise of key lime pie-tasting ice cream, and it was lackluster. It just simply didn't have that burst of lime flavor I was seeking. It was downright bland. I prefer Comfy Cow, even factoring in the distance. But I'd certainly give some other flavors a chance. read more

We had a taste for ice cream and we couldnt make a decision on what to get. We decided to try something new and different. We just moved to New Albany from Louisville so we're trying new places for food, entertainment, etc. This ice cream was great. I never go against what I know butt they had a plethora of options. My wife got a scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough, and a scoop of yogurt cheesecake ice cream. I lived dangerously and got the pineapple upside down vortex. A clear first for me. And it was delicious. All of the choices we made today were great. I'll definitely be going back to try more flavors. Maybe I'll even temp my hand at the chili dogs. Good job Zesto. read more

I grew up with Zestos they have been a mainstay of Sothern Indiana, a hold out to the gods of ice cream from before. I grew up with Zestos they are a main stay in Southern Indiana. It is a creamy whip without door seating and a drive thru. The place proudly declares there name in big triumphant letters, as if the masses licking ice-cream cones outside would not give it away. It's an old school ice cream shop, walk up to the window and order, then wait for your sweet cold treat at the window to the right. They always seemed to be known for their soft serve ice-cream cones dipped in a hard chocolate or butterscotch candy shell. Over the years I have sampled across the menu and chosen the four great treats: Peanut butter frozen yogurt, turtle cyclone, peanut butter milkshake and the hand dipped coconut ice-cream. They are all fantastic. I took a friend here who missed places like these from where she was from and she fell in love with the place. I do have to caution I never found the hot dogs that good. But you came here for the ice-cream any way Right! read more

I have been here over a hundred times. Best ice cream ever. I recommend it to everyone. I have tried several different treats but my usuals are Java chip frozen latte and the hot fudge sundae. Also you can't go wrong with any of the specialty sundaes (smores, tortoise and raspberry are excellent). Only a couple of times I was disappointed: dirt sundae and pumpkin pie vortex. I like the outdoor seating area, though it is always full of families at peak times. The menu selection is huge--you'll never get bored with this place. read more
