Oh Zeta's, how we love you! Your food is always fresh and delicious, and I doubt that there's a can of any kind back there in your kitchen. This is one of the first really good places we discovered even before becoming Valley residents five years ago (Thanks to the fabulous Yelp reviews!). Well, we've been regulars here ever since. It's a family-run establishment, which we love to patronize. If you're extra lucky, you'll get Nick as your waiter, and he knows us by name and is happy to see us. All the other servers have been great as well, as they're all super attentive and competent at what they do, which is making sure you are enjoying your visit. Whether you're just out with family, or celebrating a special occasion or holiday, Zeta's is always the perfect spot. The dining room is open and comfortable. My favorite seating is at the booths with the beautiful Middle Eastern lamps along the wall. The restaurant is always clean and pleasant, and there is usually some cool music playing. They have a lovely outdoor patio, and a separate small bar area as well, where you can catch a game on TV while you enjoy a few drinks with appetizers, lunch, or dinner. Ample free parking is available in their lot. The prices are about in line with similar restaurants. Some of our favorite dishes are the chicken souvlaki skewers (get the saffron rice, yum!), the gyro platter, and the combo specials they have at lunch and dinner. The grilled vegetables are perfection! Even the dinner salad that precedes most entrees is a delight, served with their house made tangy dressing. It's making my mouth water just thinking about it. We were visiting from out of town and meeting some people for lunch here, didn't know anything about it accept for the fact that it was Mediterranean food which I happen to really like. Some of the food items are better than others, the shawarma beef plate with rice was ok, not enough meat though, the pita wasn't up to par surprisingly, the hummus with meat was a little too salty, the Greek salad was on the salty side, the wraps were decent, falafel was ok too I guess. very simple setting inside with acceptable service since they weren't busy. I'm sorry Zeta but I come from a Middle Eastern family and have to vet your food very thoroughly. While I think that whenever we have catered Zeta's it has been good quality and price, I do not think it is the absolute best quality. Their pita that they use has tended to be dry for me and that could be because I am taking it to go but it is still disappointing. I like that they make salads the same way my family does where we only simply use salt and oil on a few veggies. Their chicken is always so juicy and flavorful, I also love their rice. read more

I moved to this side of town 2 years ago and this has been my go-to spot. Their food is absolutely delicious, not only is it the best Mediterranean food I've ever had, but it's the best food in the west valley for sure. Portions are generous, staff is always super friendly, especially one of their guys Nico who's there all the time and remembers me and my family by name, along with our favorite food and drinks. I can't recommend this place enough, I come back all the time and plan to for a long time. It's even worth a drive out. 10 out of 5. The olive oil and sesame seeds were bitter... my lamb had nothing but fat on it and super chewy... I was the only one eating at the time and yet and still it took 20min to get my food out. A big group of us decided to try this spot for lunch and it was perfect, especially with their abundance of lunch specials. They make their lemonade and ice tea in-house as well as their pita and hummus. Their hummus was not only amazing but was so aesthetically pleasing. The food here really tasted fresh and authentic. Their falafel appetizer was super crispy and was filled with flavor. Highly recommend you get their Greek fries, that garlic with the bite of feta was just the perfect, it's a must get! We went on a Sunday, there was not a lot of people dining at the time yet the service was very slow. At one point pit waiter left and never came back. The other two waiters were running around and we set for over 30 mins after we finished eating waiting for our bill from one of them. That's the only complaint I have. I would hate to see this place busy of this is how it goes when it's a slow day. The food was pretty good and we enjoyed it and the staff was friendly. A nice local restaurant in Avondale! We met family up north, so we were interested in meeting somewhere different! The service was very friendly and prompt. It was consistent busy throughout our visit but they were keeping up well with the pace. Before our meal was served, they brought out homemade bread. And wow, this bread was absolutely amazing .. soft and fluffy! We ordered several different items at the table including Zeta's Dinner Combo (hummus, baba ghanouj, tabouleh, & kafta kabob), chicken shawarma, Zeta's Signature Platter, and Vegetable Gallaya. All the items were really tasty. The food was flavored well; even though it was not what I ordered, I liked the Vegetable Gallaya with the side of potatoes. Everyone enjoyed their meals! We tried Zeta's for the first time this week as staying in the area for a month. The pitas were sooo fresh and puffy. We had a sampler as an appetizer to share and my Mom had the Zeta's chicken, I had a special of lemon chicken and shrimp, my husband had the gyros and our adult son had some spicy kabob and potatoes. We all loved our entrees and should have bought baklava to take home, but we ended up with boxes for lunch the next day and were stuffed. The mixed vegetable side was fantastic! We discovered this true gem by total accident a week ago; tried to eat at Sebastian's II but they went out of business. After learning Sebastian's had closed, we drove away sulking and decided to Yelp an alternate Middle Eastern nearby place. Alas, Zeta's appeared at top of yield results w/high ratings!! Wow, blessing in disguise, it was!! Not only was the restaurant's ambiance warm and inviting, but everyone there seemed sincerely happy we were there for dinner! We were seated at a comfortable booth and immediately greeted by our server to see if we wanted anything to drink. About 7 min later, we were ready to order and our server provided us insight as well as answered our questions. Our entrees were delivered after about 15min but we both had a delicious Greek salad beforehand. Our food was pure heaven!!!! Lebanese is one of our favorite foods and Zeta's know their stuff and exceeded our expectations!! We also ordered 7 pieces of Baklava for dessert for home. Decided to get lunch here on a whim. It's in a large strip mall and has plenty of parking and outdoor seating. We actually decided to eat inside because it was fairly hot outside and there was only one other diner inside when we came. We started off with Hummus and ordered the Chicken Kabob plate and the Lamb Kabob plate. Hummus: Freshly made and beautifully presented. Also comes with two large pita breads. Very good starter. Chicken Kabob: I liked the grilled chicken. Didn't really care for the garlic sauce it came with. Lamb Kabob: Comes with grilled lamb and veggies, served over basmati rice with a small salad. Very good lamb. Not too chewy and I liked the hint of char taste to it. Everything tasted delicious (especially the basmati rice) and I loved the tzatziki sauce. I used it with the lamb, the chicken, the veggies, just everything it was so good. Only thing I didn't care for was the abundance of flies trying to attack our plates. I wish I could leave no stars. But I really wanted our family to try something new so we landed on this place. Well the services really sucks, I'm talking we came in at 1:20, waiter came at 1:45 to take order and by 2:30 our food wasn't ready. My special needs son was getting irritable being there and so finally by 2:45 we decided to just pay for our drinks and go, then they tell us that food is ready and apologizing saying it's Mother's Day and blah blah blah. I mean I get it it was just barley busy but I wouldn't be making this if there wasn't a party of 8 that came in after my party of 6, order their food after we ordered ours and got their order before ours. We were still waiting for our food when they paid and left. If they didn't have the kitchen staff, maybe they shouldn't have been open today just to make extra money, or maybe they didn't like that we weren't the right demographics for them, either way, we won't be going back there even on a slow day. read more

Tonight was our third time eating here. We always love it, but I always forget to leave a review. I wasn't going to forget tonight. As always, the food was delicious! Their pita comes out hot and fresh served with a high quality olive oil with spices for dipping. I had the kefta kebab plate and the portions are generous...yet I still finished it all because it was so good! I ordered the Zeta Dinner with 1 beef kebab, huge helpings of hummus and baba ghanoush (which we all devoured), tabouleh and veggies. My husband got the Mixed Grill. He was curious about the Greek fries so he added those as his side and we all fought over them. Lol More than the delicious food though was the amazing service. I won't go into details because I was asked to just let a good deed be, but I have to say our server showed a genuine and touching kindness that will not be forgotten. I ordered a ton of food the other day. Here is my experience. Called in order, staff very friendly but could stand to learn the menu a bit more. Delivery was prompt and driver was friendly. The chicken kabobs were AMAZING. Grilled yet succulent, amazing flavor. The filet mignon kabobs were perfectly cooked (med-rare) and delish. The lemon cilantro wings and accompanying sauce were the best I've ever had. Flavorful and different. Tzatiki needed some flavor but overall ok. Spicy potatoes needed flavor as well but everything else was so good it didn't really matter at that point. Thyme pizza simple but surprisingly delicious. I will be back. read more
