Well my goodness ! It took nearly 7 weeks to make it to this place & make it work for us . The hours were tough , they used to close at 3pm then re - open at 5pm . My husband and I are 4pm early dinner folks on most days due to schedules . I finally noticed the hours changed !-- now 3-9pm . Upon arrival for early dinner we were greeted by the gal at the register , really sweet but absolutely zero direction . I finally figured out to grab menus and seat myself . We waited for our orders to be taken at the table until we figured out to walk back up to front and order ourselves... whoops . After a not so seamless ordering --our food arrived , correct but I expected my " value vegan plate " to be a value lol. It was a quarter of the size of my husband's chicken biryani bowl - his was so large he only ate half . Plus side everything was delicious and heat levels are customized , my hubby went with "make me cry " option and I ordered the medium heat . Both made us sweat so it delivered. I'd come back for sure but I'd stay away from value plates , not much value . Just order from the regular menu. For reference we spent $50 for 2ppl . So this isn't exactly a cheap eats kinda dinner . Have been here multiple time and its the best indian food around the area. My first try was chicken biryani which was awesome. 2nd time i tried the c curry & lamb tikka masala , both were very falavorful. I found cooking is similar to homestyle of cooking rather than the traditional restaurant style which i liked a lot. The staffs were always welcoming and service was quick as well. They've recently started the buffet was well for luch, tried it twice. Its a steal for money on Tuesday & wednesdays with the 10% off. The choices are limited but the taste is wonderful. read more

Supraja was very welcoming and insightful with her menu suggestions. I tried the Chicken Biryani and the Samosa appetizer. They were both fantastic. The chicken was so tender and delicious. The way they packaged the to go sauces with the dish was especially thoughtful. The restaurant is casual and delicious. They have lunch buffet on the weekends from 11-3pm. Sighing sighs of sadness, about my experience here today. The last few times the dishes have not been as good as they were when I originally wrote my review. Like really subpar on the yellow curry with jasmine rice, dish. Everything else was still good. It's been awhile since we have been and decided to go. The first thing I noticed were gnats on me, at the table. Not my favorite... but I was willing to shoosh away. As I was waiting, I kept hearing loud snapping noises. Like a bug zapper. They were loud ya'll. My husband asked them for the food to go, because he knows me. I text him when be was ordering that I think that loud noise was a bug zapper. I don't think I can come back now. Please clean every drain, with bleach and hot water every night. It will kill the gnats. It's food safe safety 101. The bug zapper is extremely off putting, in my world, the louder the zap, the bigger the bug. Maybe this zapper wants to overachieve, idk, I'm still hoping it's just gnats... I do want to be able to come back, but not unless it's fixed. read more

This place definitely gives off a pick up/ delivery vibe versus a dine in. When we went there, everyone (including us) there was to pick up an order. The food was decent- we got the chicken 65 and the chicken tikka. The 65 was tasty but more on the dry side and the tikka had bell peppers and was ok. Not sure we would come back- it wasn't bad but given the choices of Indian cuisine in the greater Phoenix area- we won't make a special trip. But if we find ourselves in Goodyear and not wanting to drive for more than 10 min from our hotel and we were craving Indian food ... then this would be an option. Take out and ordered chicken tikka masala ,garlic naan,and lamb biryani . Was so hungry I didn't take any pictures lol. But I do agree with some of the reviews here. The lamb biryani was not bad, I think the best thing was probably the garlic naan. The chicken tikka masala was dry and flavorless. We asked medium spicy and I could barely taste it. Food is awesome and the staff is friendly. I haven't had a single thing I didn't like. It's the best Indian food in the west valley. My wife and I love coming here. Even my toddler likes the food. Every time we go (I'm assuming it's the owner) there's a very friendly woman taking our order. She is awesome and always makes us feel welcome and makes sure we have everything we need. She even brought my wife a spicy sauce to use in her butter chicken to make it a little spicier. My favorite thing so far is the chicken biryani. We also like getting garlic cheese naan. So glad to see Indian food in Goodyear. Ambiance- it was small place with decent seating. I wish they had brewed tea or soda fountains at the least. Service- ma and pa shop, it was fine. Food- Bf got the goat curry, it looked yummy but it had a lot of tiny loose bones. I had the Panner with the sauce that comes on butter chicken. I really enjoyed it. Naan was good. After we finished writing both agreed the portions were not great for what they were charging. I would love to go back, but it's a steep penny. I would spend this much at a Thai sit down with bigger portions, so this unfortunately feels like a special occasion treat. We both agree if each meal was like $3 cheaper, we'd come back often. I have been wanting to try this place for months! Finally did and it did not disappoint. I got the butter curry - no spice (it still had spice - which was perfect for me). Portion size was generous, family owned and they were all super friendly and accommodating. The prices seemed a little high but the quality was amazing so can't really complain. Worst Indian food ever! This is the most confused "Indian cuisine" I have ever had. I had ordered a chicken biryani from this place once a few weeks ago and it tasted horrible. There was absolutely no flavour just an abundance of artificial coloring and mushy rice, mixed up together with a hefty $22 bill. Thought I would give this place another try and reordered the chicken biryani again today. Awful is the best way to describe the biryani. No flavor, filled with color, mushy, oily with clumps of mushy rice. Do not waste your money here. This place is a disgrace. read more

Did not know that they have been open for 6 months now. Coming from the Bay Area of CA, I've had some really good Indian food. But this by far is BETTER than any of those restaurants. I was craving butter chicken and while I could have made it was being lazy. Fortunate for me I stumbled on this gem that is in a close proximity to my home. I went in to place my order was being open minded and requested suggestions. I'm SO GRATEFUL I did the young lady and young man behind the counter walked me through the menu and we landed on Chicken Kurma, garlic naan, and a mango lassi. (My go to order now) That week I went in twice. I had went in right before the rebranding and name change formerly 'Indian Curry Bowls'. I will say the food was really great. I got the chicken tikka and the spice level was perfect. The main downfall is the price. I feel the price either needs to be lowered or the proportion needs to be increased. The food was terrible and I have eaten Indian food my entire life. No taste. The Naan was terrible. It tasted like it was cooked in a toaster. Definitely not a clay oven. There were three of us for lunch and none of us could eat our food. The restaurant seems more like a fast food restaurant with plastic plate plates. For the price it was not a good meal. read more

We fell in love with fast casual Indian cuisine thanks to Tikka Shack, and was super excited about hearing of a locally owned and semi-close by concept. Location is still new and I'm sure ironing out some of the details on everything, but here are some of my notes from our first visit. Chicken Tikka Masala: Flavorful, when we asked about heat options we were told it's all premade so there's no options and it's around a 4 out of 10. I'd call the heat 2 out of 10 at most and liking it on the hot side it kind of took away from enjoying fully. Would love to see them make it so you can adjust the spice level. Rice served with the dishes: nothing wrong with it but also nothing fantastic. I feel like normally there's a tiny hint of herb or something that was missing and left it a little boring. Garlic Naan: generous portions, tasty perfect. Tandoori Chicken: 3 decent sized legs, good flavor but I feel like it needs some kind of chutney or sauce to go with it, everywhere I've ever had it there was a sauce served with it that complimented the flavor and livened it up. Drinks: the only thing to order that's not bottled is the Mango Lassi. Which was good. But some other more fresh options would be nice. I'd call the portion sizes "sufficient" but not large or generous, but the pricing is in line with what I've seen at full sit down Indian food restaurants, which this is not, and is typically a slightly larger serving from my experience. And as much as I hate to keep comparing to Tikka Shack I'd say it's the same size portion but for $8 more ($18.99 here vs $11 there). Lastly the location needs a little more decor/color/ambience. Even as fast-casual you want it to feel like there's some character. Right now it feels like a school cafeteria. We will come back, probably try some things we have never had before from the South Indian and Indo-Chinese menus, and hope that this restaurant finds their groove and maybe ends up addressing a few of the things I'd consider opportunities. read more

Lets be clear, the food tastes great. I couldn't tell you if it's authentic, but it seems like it to me. But the wait time is absolutely ridiculous. If the restaurant is half full, you may as well turn and leave, and you'll still eat sooner than if you stay here. An hour for Biryani, an hour and a half for a simple chicken quesadilla.
