The group I was with are big Cava fans so given that I was driving, I made sure to accommodate the request as there aren't too many locations here in the valley. I went with the Greens & Grains Bowl with Braised Lamb and a side of avocado. Everything I wanted was Extra... Extra for this, extra for that... jeesh... Lamb Meatballs... $2.25, Braised Lamb $3.55, 1 Side Avocado (1/2 an avocado may i remind you) $2.55, 1 Sour Cream and Onion Chips $2.65 Definitely a healthy option and of course these days you gotta pay, but after looking at my bowl when all was said and done, I was not impressed at all. That, and all the extras I had to pay. The dining room was clean, but also cold so we took a spot outside.

My sister and I came here for lunch today around 12:30 and the line was pretty long and moved pretty slow, but we didn't mind because this food is delicious. I got a customized bowl, and decided to try the spicy lamb meatballs and white sweet potato that they had advertised on the screen (27g protein). I watched her put TWO lamb meatballs in my bowl and got really confused. After we opened our food to eat when we got home, I looked at the receipt and realized that there was a $3 up charge to pick the lamb. If I got more than two meatballs, I would totally understand that, but that is totally wild! On top of that, the sweet potatoes were not cooked all the way, so they were very hard. That was definitely not 27 g of protein either. Aside from that annoyance, all the workers behind the counter were super nice!

This Cava location keeps the consistency of all the other locations I've visited. They always have a clean dinning area. The crew behind the counter never stand out as being grumpy. Just as Chipotle, portions vary from person to person. Just speak up if it's on the light side. The only complaint would be the parking in this strip mall.

Great food cooked in staub iron pots, too. Ms. Aiyana and Chloe (plus the entire crew) at Cava Avondale location were awesome Our family plans on coming several times a month. Lots of gut friendly health conscious options.

Another great bowl! The crazy feta and garlic dressing is perfect with the chicken and the sour cream pita chips are delicious.

Kids meal with chicken pita, harissa pita chips, dill and garlic sauce and kids lemonade.

I have never tried Cava but heard good things about it. This one opened near me so of course I had to go and try it. I liked so much, I went twice in one week. I got a kids meal both times. I ordered from the app the first time and on my next visit I went inside. It was easier and faster to order from the app and pickup. It was so busy the day I went in. But it's a bright atmosphere, clean and had Mediterranean Chipotle vibes. My first visit I got the kids meal with chicken and the second time I got it with harissa honey chicken. I like that better chicken had a nice kick. Love the pita chips and the garlic sauce is my favorite. If you want Mediterranean fast food this is the place.

I was so excited to try CAVA for the first time so when they came to the location by my house, I was so eager to go. My friends and family have been ranting and raving about how good it was so I needed to get there. This is a brand new location and the atmosphere inside is amazing. Lots of tables to sit and plenty of lighting to highlight the amazing vibe inside. The staff were so friendly and happy and made ordering for the first time a breeze. They were patient, gave recommendations, and smiled their entire time. One staff member even complimented me on my sun dress. I order a bowl for my mom and myself as well as a drink. The in house drinks were so tasty. They didn't have a lot of sugar which makes it healthy and tasty. The bowl options were plentiful and I didn't feel limited on what I could get. This will be my go to spot moving forward. The food was amazing. The bowls are a little over $10 each but are worth it because Mediterranean food is sooo good.

    $6.75 kids' meal!

Usually get the BYOB, but I wasn't extremely hungry, so I ordered their kids' meal, which is a great choice, by the way, because they serve such a generous portion. Their pita chips are also very good! Service was quick and went smoothly. The soda fountain was kept stocked and tidy. They also offer a few different flavors of lemonade. Superior healthy alternative! This place was packed for lunch, that's how we know that cava is fire lol

Cava is a solid option in the fast casual food category! I came on a Friday night and it was fairly busy. I got a build your own bowl with lentils and super greens for my base and falafel and chicken for my protein. It's great that you can pick two for each. It was a hearty, filling, and tasty bowl overall. It's modern and minimalistic inside.

The service of this location is 10/10! The setup is Luke Chipotle only difference is I 100% prefer Cava over chipotle. The food is so flavorful and there's a variety of options to choose from. Highly recommend!

Absolute worst Customer Service from ABI. When I asked for the sauces that I wanted, she looked so irritated like she did not want to serve me like she wanted to rush me to order. There was no long line. There was no reason to rush. She couldn't even look at me in my face. I'm not sure why people take these kinds of jobs. If they don't want to be at work this was the worst experience I ever had at a cava and ABI should be trained on her Customer Service, ensuring that all customers of all colors race shapes and sizes should be respected. She was the only one with a disgusting attitude and made me feel uncomfortable. I got my order to go.

    Pita Characters!
    Brandon B.

I've been to a lot of fast-casual spots, and Cava consistently stands out. The food here is always fresh, flavorful, and put together with care. The Chicken Shawarma especially hits the spot (it's honestly bomb). Pro tip for Pita lovers: ask for the dressings on the side so you can drizzle them yourself to keep your pita toasty until you're ready to eat it, especially if you're taking it to-go. The staff here is friendly and efficient, which makes the whole experience even better. The restaurant is clean, and orders come out quick without feeling rushed. Whether you're in the mood for a pita, a bowl, or just want something healthy that actually tastes good, this location nails it. Definitely one of the better restaurant experiences I've had. I'll be back often.

My boyfriend and I split the Garlic Pesto Turkey sandwich, and I can honestly say it was the best sourdough sandwich I've ever had. The bread is everything you want from fresh sourdough soft on the inside, just the right chew, and that perfect tang. The turkey was super flavorful, and the pesto and sauces were next level. Every bite felt so well balanced rich, fresh, and totally satisfying. We also grabbed a white macadamia cookie, and it was the cherry on top. Soft, buttery, and perfectly sweet seriously one of the best cookies I've had in a while. On top of the amazing food, the customer service was incredible. The girls working were so friendly and made us feel genuinely welcome. The space is small but super cute and cozy clean, inviting, and great for a casual meal. I really wish I lived closer because I'd be here all the time (probably too often that bread is dangerously good ). If you're nearby or even just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop in. This place is a gem. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. We ordered and were asked if we were dining in or taking our food to go. We said dining in, but there were no open tables inside (around 12 total) and zero tables available outside. We ended up waiting in the back for a table to open while staff repeatedly walked around looking for our table number, never once asking if the order might be ours. After several minutes, someone finally asked if we were number 11. We were. Once seated, the decor was cute, but service was mediocre at best. The food was the biggest disappointment. It had been a while since we last visited, and it's definitely not the same. The rice was bland and flavorless, and the gyro meat tasted like frozen, reheated product -- very dry, with the main flavor being salt. Instead of the fresh-carved gyro meat you typically see on a vertical rotisserie at most Greek restaurants, the kitchen area was closed off, so there was no visible preparation or carving station. For nearly $50, the experience simply did not match the price. Between the disorganized service and underwhelming food, we won't be back. Next time, we'll stick to supporting East Valley Greek spots that offer better quality and value. I want to preface, this place used to be good. Not sure of ownership changed, but save yourself a trip and find something better and more affordable

That's okay, we'll partake of their boozy drinks when we visit again. Food: parmesan truffle fries were aah-mazing. I even told Esmerelda they should add a pizza with the garlic aioli. The buffalo mozzarella had a bit of a kick to the sauce; we could have used more toasted bread to dip into it. We ordered the heaven and bianca pizzas. The crust was thinner than normal, which I was happy about, and the flavors of both were delicious. Dessert: despite not finishing the appetizers & pizza (no worries, we thoroughly enjoyed the leftovers!), we opted for a gelato flight. It was divine, and hefty samples. You wouldn't think 4 oz was much, but of gelato, it was plenty. We selected chocolate, strawberry, salted caramel, and mango. If you haven't tried Roma 23, I highly recommend it. The pho itself consisted mostly of noodles and a decent amount of meat at least but with the combination, I felt like the tendon they just gave the biggest chunks possible, which were extremely hard to try to bite through unusual for me to come across I love tripe and tendon the most in the combos, the regular size is generously sized tho no need to pay extra for a larger size unless you're really hungry the flavor of the broth tasted good nothing special but it was a alright meal prob won't come back but I don't think it was entirely a waste of time

We've spent a lot here over the years and have always supported and recommended this location. That's why my son's recent experience was so disappointing. He stopped in to get some work done, something he's done many times during slow hours. Sometimes he buys something, sometimes he doesn't, and it has never been an issue. This has always been a welcoming place. This time, a staff member told him he couldn't sit and work unless he purchased something. What made it worse was the explanation: a table of eight older gentlemen "didn't like" that he was sitting there working, and that was the reason he needed to leave or buy something. It wasn't busy, it wasn't about space, and it wasn't about a policy. It was simply another group of customers not liking his presence, and the staff acting on that. After years of loyalty, that was incredibly disappointing. If there's a new policy, that's fine, just communicate it clearly and apply it consistently. Asking a long‑time customer to leave because another table "didn't like" them is not acceptable. This experience genuinely made us rethink continuing to support this location.
