He said the AC had no Freon, and the furnace's interior was very rusty. He got me in touch with the tech who writes up the estimates. He came by, told me about my options and warranties, and maintenance plans. I paid him half the cost of everything by credit card. The installers were out on Saturday, two days later! I didn't get a call that they were on their way, but I knew they would be here between 8-9 a.m. 7:55 they pulled in, and I was waiting. The guys went right to work. They had a lot of new equipment, and removed the old stuff. We had an AC unit and new furnace with thermostat installed. The guys were very neat and quiet, and cleaned up the basement and the driveway. Everything went well. I totally recommend Auburn H-VAC.

We paid the full amount ($23,000) for the whole job. On day 2, they broke a 4x8 section of brick off of the side of my house and to this day never bothered to repair it. The drains are still unfinished, the rear foundation I discovered after digging that area out has no waterproofing on the wall at all, and the basement is still wet in this area. He never put gravel in the 26x30 crawl space nor poured the foundation floor. He kept asking for more and more payments, but they worked less and less. It got to a point where they just never came at all, but all along saying "we have another job in Burton," we have another job in Solon..." but we were PAID IN FULL with all of these jobs in the contract not complete, plus a broken portion of my house at his negligence. This job that he told us would take 2 weeks, went on well over 6 weeks until the snowstorm in January and never saw any work after that. Mike Sheets had the nerve to call me "fu....ing" this and that, screaming at me because I showed up at his house CAUSE HE TOOK MY MONEY AND LEFT ME HIGH AND DRY. Now he is officially gone and I have to pay for the gravel, the foundation, brick repair, waterproofing on the rear of my house...ANOTHER $6000. He should not be in business. Liar and deceiver.

So, expect high-pressure tactics and quotes for the most amount of money they can squeeze out of your wallet. They pressured an elderly family member into signing up for an extremely expensive repair, and even discouraged her from getting other quotes. Turns out, the actual repair was MUCH smaller than they said on the estimate, but since it's a flat rate, we still had to pay the full amount (almost ten thousand dollars). Oh, and then after the initial repair was done, they found another "problem" farther down the line and wanted to fix that...for another $10K. Unbelievable. I reached out to their customer service dept several times and didn't get so much as a reply. We'll never be using Roto Rooter for anything ever again. Hire them if you're looking to get severely ripped off. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and use a good, local tradesman. Also, don't ever let them talk to elderly loved ones. They WILL take advantage of them.

We had those parts all replaced and the first bath was glorious. We had our entire master bath shower and sink faucets replaced and looks like we had a total bathroom makeover. The next project was to replace shower heads and faucets in the Jack and Jill bath and guest bath. And that project is now complete and I our drains and new hardware works great! Highly recommend Splash Mountain. It was worth the money spent to get our bathrooms back up in working order instead of waiting for a dreaded catastrophe.
