Back when the park was called Big Chief Carts & Coasters, Pegasus was the 2nd major ride to be installed (in '96), following Cyclops in 1995. It's geared more towards younger guests, and aside from a few fleeting moments of airtime, this CCI woodie offers little in the thrill department. .....Unless you consider bodily harm to be 'thrilling.' Riding in the front row, I bruised a rib on one of the elevated turns when the train violently slammed me to the left side of the boxy PTC (Philadelphia Toboggan Company) train. From what I saw, not a single turn was banked in the slightest, which is okay at lesser speeds. Unfortunately the front of the train carries a good deal of momentum into the bank-less curves, which results in abrupt and painful lateral G's. The back row doesn't seem to witness this as much, since by the time the rear of the train navigates the turn, the train as a whole is traveling much slower. Injuries aside, Pegasus is pretty tame. It's unique in that it circles a go-kart track below it, but as it reaches a top speed of only 40mph, hardened coaster enthusiasts might find Pegasus to be too mild for their liking. As with all the other coasters here, only one train is in operation and this seats no more than 16 riders at a time, so the queue moves at a snail's pace. Nevertheless, it's 1 of 4 wooden coasters at Mt Olympus and is still worth your time, provided that the line is under half an hour. I'd recommend that front row riders prepare themselves for a jarring experience. _____ **My tagline works on multiple levels, since it's partly a reference to the mythical flying horse but also a nod to the fact that first time coaster riders can cut their teeth on this wooden coaster.....thus earning their 'wings'. For those wanting to go on trails, they also offer loops off their paths. There are a few covered areas for viewing the cranes and lots of areas to sit and observe the cranes. Admission is $12 or you could buy an annual pass. They have a video you can watch first about their work prior to checking out the cranes. This is a great place to spend a morning, afternoon or even the whole day.

This place has three escape rooms to solve. Their entry-level room is a mission to Mars, their…read moremiddle-level room is a quest to get to shelter because a tornado is coming, and their hard-level room is a quest to save yourself from the sinking Titanic. If you haven't done escape rooms before, you should definitely do the Mars one. It's fun for beginners. It's also cheaper and takes a shorter time duration. There aren't as many puzzles to solve as the middle level or most difficult one. But, it's still quite fun to do. The most fun is in the tornado room. They had an option to do it with the lights on or off, and we chose to leave the lights on. There is enough going on already, and we didn't need to be distracted by having it be too dark. The puzzles are a little tougher, and this one takes a full hour to finish. The theme is great, and the variety of things to solve is perfect. It's not just a routine of solving one number code after another. The toughest one is the Titanic room. And, I can't help but lower my rating of this place from 5 stars to only 4 stars as a result. I don't mind that it's tougher. That's fine, and that's not the reason I am deducting a star. There's a difference between making something tougher, vs. making something that absolutely nobody would understand. This room is around half of the size of the tornado room, yet, it has double the amount of things to solve. And, frankly, some of the puzzles are just a bit too cryptic for my liking. They just went a little too far with confusing things to figure out, that didn't really lead anywhere. It's a shame, because 70% of this room has some really great features that most people will really have fun with. But, about 30% of the stuff you need to solve is just impossible without taking clues from the staff, and even after getting the clues, it still doesn't make much sense. And, they really need to make this one 1.5 hours long to accommodate all of the things you need to finish. Overall, though, I'd recommend any of these rooms, even the difficult Titanic room. I just think that room needs a little more time allotted, and a bit of tweaking to a few of the puzzles to make them more reasonable.

I drive by this place all the time when I am in the dells, and have always wanted to go in there…read morebut was always afraid. But this time around, it was certain, I was going to do something EXTREME! Day 1: My party and I get there and we watch some videos and my boyfriend decides to take the jump. I dont think i have ever been so scared. Fearing he was going to die. Thankfully he made it out alive and we left. He was telling me how some of the workers have never even bungie jumped. Thats comforting lol. Day 2: I decided, i'm bungie jumping no matter what. I'm pumped and we get there and I'm just telling my self good thoughts. My friend went first and then myself. I get strapped up and lifted up. And am i getting lifted up in this cage i am just thinking "what the hell am i doing" the worker tries to comfort me and he was doing a damn good job. Kudos to him! Finally we get to the top and he opens the cage. He tells me " have your feet half way off the ledge and hold on to each side of the cage. then you are going to put your hands together in front of you and im going to push your ass off" so when i tried to let go of the cage i got freaked out and immediately grabbed back on. The worker said he got me and pushed. I dont think i have ever screamed so hard in my life. But it was amazing. And I will be doing it again.

Came for the beach since I was told it was nicer than Mirror Lake State Park's beach. They were…read moresimilar, but Castle Rock's was slightly larger, and I'm told it has a nicer bottom, not as mucky as Mirror Lake. I wouldn't know for sure, though, since I didn't go in the water. I'm not a beach person, but my friends are and I wanted to be with them. I liked laying out on under the shady trees near the beach and watching the activities like a family group dragging out giant float after giant float (a camel, a rocker, a unicorn, a shark, etc.). They got them in the water, and then they promptly tipped them over whenever anyone in the family got on top of one. There were some friendly dogs there, but they weren't allowed on the beach, so one sadly got tied to a stake in the grass and had to watch their family have all the fun from a distance. Another cute 2-year old dog cried anytime anyone came near it, you could tell it wanted to play, but it's owner was an elderly gentleman who just wanted to sit in a chair and look at stuff (kind of like me). Maybe it's just me, but I would never bring my pet anywhere fun on vacation and then ignore it for hours. Anyway, it's a very crowded place on a beautiful summer day and if you like crowds and people-watching, this is the place for you. Lots and lots of people on the water boating, paddle boarding, swimming, etc. An ice cream truck came around a couple of times, there was volleyball nearby. My friends and I brought our bocce set and played a round. Nice mid-day outing.
