I went there along with 2 other people to check it out. One of my friends said that his friend came here before and it tasted similar to the food in Taiwan, so I thought that was worth a go. I got the L2 with extra noodles and also split some Scallion pancakes. They do offer a decent amount of extra noodles. Having finished everything, I was not full, and I'm not a big eater. Prices were average. Taste of the noodles was bland. Broth was ok. Ambiance is relaxing. Our water cups were oily, but they were replaced with freshly washed ones. I would give this place one more go, as the Vegetable Stir Fried Noodle sounds to be good. read more

We popped in here around 8pm last Friday, and were greeted and sat immediately. It's a clean bright space-- it's the former location of The Kitchen Café which I loved dearly when I worked on South Street-- but they did the space justice! We split the Signature Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup, the Soup Dumplings (not pictured), and the Taiyaki Fish Cone Ice Cream. The noodle soup came out first, and was delicious, spicy, and homey-- it's a soup I'll think of when it's cold or when I'm sick. The broth, the noodles, the chili oil-- everything was on point. The soup dumplings came out next, with a traditional ginger vinegar dumpling sauce. I was worried we had ordered "too much soup", but the broth in the dumplings was different enough to keep things interesting-- almost a little sweet?-- and the dumplings themselves held together perfectly. We finished the meal with the Taiyaki ice cream, which, to be honest, I couldn't tell you the flavor if I tried? I thought it had red bean paste, my husband said coffee... who knows? Absolutely loved my Sunday lunch here. The noodle dish I had was awesome. I loved their chili sauce! Inside struck me as a pretty cosmopolitan place. Our appetizers dumplings and a veggie were perfect. Not too much not too little. Small staff that day just one person but it wasn't busy so all service was reasonably timed and paced. read more

Got the cold noodles, pan fried dumplings, shrimp fried rice, Mala beef, and the beef scallion pancakes. Cold Noodles: rather bland, the chili oil didn't have much taste and seemed to ve watered down. Pan Fried Dumplings: highlight of meal, tasted the best out of everything, would recommend getting. Scallion Beef Pancakes: It was ok, the sauce overpowered everything and I couldn't really taste the beef. Mala Beef: same problem as the noodles, couldn't really taste the chili oil or the spice, very bland. Shrimp Fried Rice: it was decent fried rice, nothing special about it except for an unique aftertaste that most wouldn't like. The shrimp was decent despite obviously being frozen. Waitress was nice and the atmosphere here is rather cozy. TLDR: get the pan fried dumplings. read more

The four stars is mostly just for their one dish that I really enjoy: the hand-pulled lamb chop noodle soup. The lamb is always cooked so well and the broth is simple but balanced with the meaty flavor of the lamb. The first time I tried this spot we went with the lanzhou beef noodle soup and the rattan pepper fish fillet noodles - the beef was a tad dry and I didnt enjoy the broth as much, tasted a tad plain to me, no aromas from the beef as I would have expected. The fish soup was way too peppery, it was like someone accidentally dumped way too much black pepper in it. But I keep going back for the lamb chop soup so I can't dislike this place. The skewers were also a hit or miss. The pork belly and chicken heart were good. But the regular chicken skewers most of the chicken had no seasoning/flavor so it was just plain chicken meat that was also a little tough. Maybe bad batch? But I am all for that one soup which keeps me going back! read more

My husband and I randomly stumbled across this place on our way to breakfast. We decided to change our minds and check out the spot since it looked cute and people seated by the windows were enjoying themselves. What an amazing suprise! We both ordered the spicy Lanzhou noodle soup, which tasted delicious and fresh. We also ordered the soup dumplings and pan-fried bao. We were so full but ate it anyway because of how good it was. The coconut juice was a suprise win too. The staff were so kind and delivered with quality service. We would love to dine there again in the future. read more

Yummy flavorful bowl of soup that the flavor sticks and seasons the noodles really well. Very happy we did, and we will return!! Walking in, we immediately noted how clean it was, and that it had a pleasant atmosphere. Staff were welcoming. We had the Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup, soupy buns, and pan fried buns. The soup was delicious - not salty, the right amount of heat, and the noodles were perfect. It immediately warmed us up.
