What a great experience! Two friends and I got a Groupon for the rum tasting and tour here and showed up without an appointment yesterday afternoon (due to moving plans around). The Groupon is $10 for a $15 tasting, but you get way more for either price! Erica and Samantha took care of us so well and were very knowledgable about the brand, products and production process. We had tastings of 3 rums that are made on site at the distillery using South Florida sourced ingredients (mainly from Okeechobee): their Platinum, Barrel Proof and Ruby Rush Grapefruit rums. Their Platinum rum (aged 3 months) is tremendously clean tasting and smooth and has a slight hint of coconut from being distilled through coconut shells. It was definitely a refreshing take on white rums. Their Barrel Proof rum (aged 6 months) is the amber rum we think of when we think of rum, but with so much richer flavor and a little smoke since it is aged in former bourbon barrels that had housed bourbon for at least 5 years. But also can kick you in the butt with its 65% alcohol. It was tempting to not buy it there since 1. It is only available at the distillery, and 2. I can definitely see my friends and I drinking it as a whiskey alternative every so often. Their Ruby Rush rum is a grapefruit spirit that had that sweetness you can imagine having for dessert. The ladies mixed it with soda water and lime juice, creating a wonderful refreshing spritzer. They pack you up a complimentary glass from the distillery, the same one you use for the tastings and cocktails, which is incredibly cute. Aaaand if you check in on Yelp, you can get one of these glasses as well! My friend and I signed up to be on their mailing list so that we can be informed about their events, like trivia night and their biannual bottling (you help them bottle and get a bottle for yourself at the end!). With the anti going out craziness happening right now, my best bet to have their stuff again may be to go to a Total Wine and Spirits and get a Platinum or Ruby Rush rum. But I'll be sure to return! read more

Ziami distillery is just fabulous!! They make several different first class rums. All spectacular! Diane and I went to a fantastic tasting party and tour. They had open bars set up serving Mojitos (my favorite), a Ruby Red Cocktail and Rum and coke. The party had magnificent Steak, Salad, Potato Salad, Chicken, Sausage, all grilled on a flavorful outdoor grill (except the salads of course). They made you sandwiches if you wanted them, with super-tasty rolls. To top it all off, I spun a wheel and won a bottle of Platinum Ziami Rum to take home! Everyone was friendly and generous with drinks and food as well as cigars. The beautiful servers were so nice and helpful, it makes me want to return for a more intricate tour and to buy a few bottles of their fabulous rums. Marvin, their Master Distiller, is a true craftsman blending the perfect flavor profiles into their signature (and award winning!) Platinum Rum. And they now have a Barrel Proof Rum that...without getting too deep into this...is by and far the best rum you will ever have. I recommend on the rocks. I did their tour and loved it! My daughter recommended this distillery so we decided to come down and give it a try. So glad that we did. As you walk in there is such swanky industrial vibes. We purchased the tour, with 3 rum tasting, cocktail and souvenir glass. The rum is superb. Very smooth and you can drink it straight. We tried the platinum, the barrel proof which is 65% alcohol and the grapefruit rum. The grapefruit rum was amazing. Again, very smooth and no need for a chaser. They are coming out with a spiced rum and mango which I cannot wait. The mango is amazing. You can taste the ripe fruit in the rum. All in all we had an amazing time. The staff was great, very friendly and very accommodating. I will be recommending this place to all my family and friends and bringing all my out of town guests here for a treat. read more

This place is amazing! I am so excited I found it. I came here with my family Cheyenne R. Melissa R. Genelle B. and Kim A. and had an absolute blast! We made a reservation prior to coming in for a deluxe tasting and tour for a party of 7. When we arrived everything was already set up. We each paid $15 for the deluxe tasting and tour. It came with a tasting of the Platinum, Barrel Proof, Grapefruit, Spiced Rum, and they threw in an exclusive taste of their upcoming Mango flavor that has not been bottled yet. After the tasting, we did a tour of the distillery. It was very interesting to see how they make these fine bottles of rum out of molasses, fruit, and other ingredients. After the tour we returned back to the bar for our featured cocktail. The featured cocktail was made with Grapefruit, Perrier, and a squeeze of fresh lime juice. It was very refreshing! The deluxe package also came with a Ziami cocktail glass to take home. It was such a fun experience and I cant wait to invite more friends and family to try this place out. They have only been opened since October so they are fairly new to the neighborhood. However, I know they will be around for the long haul! read more

They have 3 options a Basic tour for $10 and it comes with a tour, 3 rum tastings, a Deluxe tour for $15 and you get the basic and a cocktail of the week and a souvenir glass. And with the ultimate for $29.99 you get the Deluxe with a Ziami hat or Tshirt. The best local rum in South Florida! I had the best rum tasting with my family here. I absolutely love the vibe of the distillery. They give you a tour with all of the rum tasting packages. The best part is that it is super affordable. I did the deluxe rum tasting package which was absolutely worth it. It included cocktail which was awesome. Sam was our bartender who was extremely enthusiastic and made us feel welcomed. For only $15, we received 3 flight rum tasting, tour of the distillery and souvenir cup. Heard about the opening from a friend and was dying to check it out. Was greeted by proprietor Victor who was very hospitable and friendly. The venue is modern and funky sheik. We were given a tour of the facility an it was immaculate and modern. Victor enlightened us on the rum making process which we found very interesting. We sampled the 3 specialty rums at his beautiful tasting bar and again he explained each rum flavor and content. The longer I was there the more i enjoyed this venue to the point that I scheduled my next birthday party there!!! Yes they do parties you! I can't wait to take my family there. You can go on a rum tour, enjoy a cocktail by the bar and play board games and lounge. So today I went I in for the rum tasting and was very impressed with the flavors they had to offer. Amber and Erica were extremely informative about how it is that the rum was distilled and it's reasoning for its great taste! The platinum has a coconut vibe I can appreciate and is aged for 3 month perfect for cocktails! Oh and the platinum is charcoal filtered with coconut shells anyways! Never the less I stopped here because I taste test often , wine , various vodkas and scotch but I have never seen RUM!!! So please come the tour was so so authentic and very genuine all questions were answered and to see the process and all they put into is really shows what character Ziami we a brand holds! Went for a rum tasting with the family. The location is off the beaten path a bit, in a business district. There was plenty of parking for the time we we went (2pm Sunday). The place is decorated well, with a minimalist/modern South Florida feel. We got to try the classic clear rum (80 proof), over proof (139!!), and grapefruit (70). All were tasty, but the overproof was too strong to enjoy neat. Victor, the owner, gave a short but comprehensive tour on the on site distillery. He was friendly and happy to answer questions. The bartender, Erica, was welcoming and added a lot to our experience. She also made us a Holiday Punch with the grapefruit rum, cranberry juice, lime, cinammon and other holiday spices. It was tasty and the cinnamon stick stirrer was a nice touch. they also had complimentary cookies out which was appreciated. If I could change anything, the retail space was a bit unfocused; I didnt think the flasks that looked like sunscreen bottles were appropriate for a main draw of the craft liquor. The available snacks available (lays chips, popcorn) were pretty generic. I think if they brought in some local items it would be a nice touch. In addition to supporting local small business, I would recommend to others based on the overall quality of the space, staff, and product. I hope they find their niche. read more

Must visit distillery!! Ziami Distillery was such an incredible experience. I found them on Groupon and called to book a tasting/tour. We went on a Friday afternoon. It's a new distillery so of course it doesn't get too crowded, which I like! When we arrived, we were greeted by Marvin and Erica. Soon after the owner, Victor, introduced himself to us. He actually started our tasting so i got to chat it up a bit with him. Erica soon took over and gave us 3 different rums to taste. My favorite was the grapefruit flavored rum; sweet taste. My friend liked the barrelproof rum. That was too strong for me. The cocktails were okay, not my favorite. The tour was cool. Marvin explained everything really well. After the tour, we had another cocktail and started playing games with the other guests. We played dominoes and the most intense game of Jenga! While playing, Victor allowed us to sample the new spiced rum flavor that they are releasing soon. Ziami rum distillery is located in Hollywood, FL and uses local resources and ingredients for their delicious and natural selection of rum. It's definitely something you have to go experience, and while you're there pick up a bottle or two of some locally made rum. Upon arrival my friend and I were immediately greeted by Erica and Sam. Let's be honest here. There after a LOT of small batch distilleries opening up all over the country. Not too many have good quality products. This place has excellent quality rum with the perfect level of trendily atmosphere. Marvin gave us a fantastic tour, and we tasted the three flavors currently available: Platinum, Barrel Proof, and Ruby Rush. All were great, but the Barrel Proof and Ruby Rush were my favorites. The Ruby Rush (grapefruit flavor) is a FANTASTIC summer cocktail with simple club soda and lime. read more

I came to this distillery and I am MORE THAN pleasantly surprised. The bartenders Maber and Marvin are super fun and charismatic. They made the experience exceptional. They were very knowledgeable about the rum but they never made it boring. The rum was super tasty and colorful. It wasn't overbearing like most tastings.
