Unfortunately, they never arrived, never called, and never texted. We received no advance notice at all, which left us and our guests in a really tough spot and gave us no chance to line up a replacement. Things happen, but the lack of communication and accountability is what really stings. When you're planning an event, you need vendors you can rely on. Based on our experience, we would be very hesitant to ever use or recommend them in the future.

Second time I got the sweet potato tacos. Both times I got the side of tots, which they give you a huge portion of. I've enjoyed everything I've order so far. Everyone I've interacted with has been friendly, and while I can't speak to the speed during their busy times (I've always come on off hours) I always got my order quickly. The restaurant is part of a strip mall with savers and there's plenty of parking (at least during non-peak hours). This truck came to my job today and as some coworkers and I approached the truck we were drawn to the large menu of offerings, however we were turned off by the obnoxious smell of old grease. Yuck! The best part of the meal was the cole slaw, which I highly suspect was store-bought. The wings were fried HARD and had a WEAK splatter of honey BBQ sauce on them. The sauce was that of what you can find at any grocery store for a cheap price. Normally wings are tossed in the sauce or baked in the sauce but not these. I wasn't sure what to get so I chose the Gumbo with Chicken, Okra, Andouille Pork Sausage, & Rice. It came with oyster crackers and a little corn muffin. It wasn't spicy but it was delicious! My coworkers have mentioned how delicious the lobster roll and some of the other items are. I'm sure you can imagine how few lunch choices there are in East St. Louis.
