I went to Ziebart to have a trailer hitch installed without wiring. First the GOOD news: 1. easy to make an "appointment". I stated that I was going to wait for it; 2. price was as expected; 3. The work done was acceptable; and 4. Service writer, Gia, was very pleasant. More about her, below. Now the BAD news: 1. My 9:30am appointment, according to Ziebart, doesn't mean they will start the work on my vehicle at that time. EVERY mechanic's garage and car dealership I've ever used has made firm appointments for customers that wait for their vehicles. These appointments is the time slotted for the technician to work on the vehicle. On this day, at my 3rd hour of waiting, I inquired as to status. They had not even started. I stated I had a 9:30am appointment. I was told that this time was given just so everyone doesn't show up at the same time in the morning. I made my argument about what an appointment at Ziebart should mean (as mentioned above). I was told (with a touch of attitude) that he had previously worked at car dealerships, and they did exactly what Ziebart does. Knowing that he was just spinning Ziebart's bad policies, I let it go. 2. Service Writer, Gia, overheard the conversation had added that installing the trailer hitch is very time consuming and complicated. I had previously watched the hitch manufacturer's video on how to install it on my particular model. It was NOT complicated and took less than a 1/2 hour. I let this addition spin go; and lastly 3. I was bombarded with multiple attempts by Gia to upsell me on semi-useless and overpriced goods and services. I wasn't a customer, I was a "mark". Never again. read more

When I arrived for my appointment, I was directed to the service agent, Marcus, who was trying to sell me more service besides the $2k one I got connived in January 2024. I had to repeatedly tell him no several times for other services that were not needed and I cannot afford. I was told it would take about 3-4 hours for my car to get coated, scratches that needed buffing out and any small indents fixed due to normal wear and tear. I was told after an hour and half that my car was ready. I go out to my car with Marcus, my car is dripping from water (I also had a package with Upstate in Attica, upon purchase, for undercoating.) my car looked horrible!!! The black all around the bottom of my car was not coated, my tires looked like crap ( not coated), scuff marks not buffed out. (I previously said scratches), and the indentation was not fixed! I questioned him about it and he told me to buy a pen with the same color to cover it up! What?! I told him I wanted to speak with the manager, Steven (I believe). I went out with him to show him my concerns. He told me it would be taken care of. Not!!! Only a few marks where my car had scuff marks were addressed, the rest hadn't been touched, the indentation was not fixed, and the black that is all around my vehicle hadn't been touched, as well as my tires not polished and it was still dripping wet!!! I just about had it at this point. A few day's later, I tried opening my sun roof, it wouldn't budge!!! Still it doesn't work. Yelp was the only source that asked about my experience. I had ZieBart in Batavia NY do the spray Rhino Liner in the bed of my 2025 Ford Maverick pickup truck. I told them specifically not to get it in the 8mm holes in the side walls of the bed because I want to install the bed rail system. They sprayed the liner material in all 8 holes. I reminded them when I picked it up about that. I was told that the bolts would screw right in. I tried a 8mm bolt in the holes. Could not even get 1 bolt to start. It took me at least 20 minutes per hole with a pick to get the bolts started and screwed in. I of the 6 built-in tie downs didn't get sprayed over. The tie downs in the floor were done right and didn't get sprayed over. I was hoping for so much better from them. I was going to have them do the paint protection but after this I wouldn't let them touch anything of mine. 5.5 hours to do a job like this. read more

I signed up for annual under coating maintenance through my auto dealer at the time I purchased my explorer. I thought it was important to protect my car from salt. It requires me to travel once a year to Batavia for inspection in order to keep my plan in place. It shouldn't cost anything other than the investment I originally paid. They were big on up sales especially when my car was newer. I was told that I should have my hood wrapped to protect it from rust and stone chips. It was very costly. I believe between $500-$600. They only wrapped a portion of the front of my hood. They did not wrap around the front lip of the hood. Stone chips happened and they said they couldn't fix it. I could however go and buy a paint pen to match my car and they'd put it on. I asked if they'd finish the job that should have been done in the first place by wrapping the front edge of my hood. They said it wasn't possible to wrap around the edge. I showed him how they wrapped the edges of my door with the same stuff. There were more excuses. Throughout this process they didn't call me back when they said they would and Markus (current manager) also blamed a previous manager and said he was fired. There's even more negative things about this business that I could tell you. Steer clear of this business!! Condescending. Sexist. Poor Service. To just list a few. My daughter had the WORST experience here. This is a disappointment of a company and a total and complete waste of your time and money. My daughter went in to get her car done and the first time she took it in, got the rust protection, they even detailed it for her! However the second time was not the same story... She took her car in to get the rust protection again and they looked down upon her the WHOLE ENTIRE TIME. My daughter is a smart girl she knows what she's talking about when it comes to cars (I even ask her for advice when it comes to my car ) and they would not stop telling her she's wrong when her expectations were not met. With her rust protection package they REFUSED to go over the spot (unless she payed extra) she had gotten damaged in an accident EVEN THOUGH IT WAS FIXED!!!! And when she tried to complain about it they told her "women always get so emotional when it comes to cars". If you have to go there take photos of you car inside and out. We had several cars we took to have the yearly touch up done. Everyone had under coating inside on steering wheel , drivers seat and drivers door panel. On the outside three of the cars had under coating on the paint on both front fenders and around the back of the cars. When we complained the manager had them do quick detail and just walked away when he dropped the car off. Do yourself a favor if you have to go here especially for the yearly touch up take photos inside and out before they work on it. We will never go back even with the yearly touch being free. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Had a truck cap installed on a Ford F250 and they didn't even utilize the hookup that is specifically on the truck for that purpose. They stripped wiring that didn't have to be stripped, taped it together like a novice and I had all kinds of dash warning codes going off constantly that apparently the tech didn't even notice! When I went in to tell the tech he said "well that's how we do it and it's an extra hour of labor to do it the right way". Would not recommend! read more

Sells you treatments for your vehicle to "protect it from rust" but the reality is that they just sold you a promise they do not plan on keeping. I've gone for every maintenance/inspection appointment required to keep my warranty. Two years after my first visit to zeibart "rust proofing" application I have rust on my tailgate and I visited the nearest location today only to be told that the only thing they can do for me is to apply rust inhibitor to the affected area. My warranty says they will repair rust if it occurs within five years of first application and requires me to do a yearly maintenance and re spray, I have followed these guidelines meticulously. Most or all stores are franchised and corporate will not stand behind promises/warranties of franchise locations. Save yourself 3,500$ on complete rust "protection" and wax your vehicle regularly. I was told it was because I chipped paint even though there is no paint missing. No resolution was ever established, corporate told me that they cannot help in any way and it's not liable. The owner has yet to respond my inquiries for warranty repair of paint. They're response to my review is only the illusion of help to make themselves look better. I bought my gmc truck from Ken Barret dealership in Batavia. It had no rust at all on it. I traded in my old chevy truck due to rust on fenders which ny weather does to vehicles. The salesman suggested I get the package deal to included Ziebart. I was told that if I get that I wouldnt have to worry about rust on fenders again. Especially since I was buying an expensive beautiful not a spec of rust truck . Well Ive been going to Ziebart for four years now and my rear fenders are horrible with rust. I pointed out two two years into getting Ziebart to the manager that I noticed paint starting to bubble and chip around fenders. He said that they would "spray heavy" next time. Ive been going to my annual spray on time every year. I am a U.S Air Force veteran and hardworking person who invested my money into a nice vehicle to last me as long as possible while keeping the vehicle looking good was taken advantage of and lied to by Ziebart. The products and services offered are a complete joke. I had my vehicle undercoated with rustproofing, bed liner sprayed on, and their diamond gloss treatment done. Rust is showing through despite annual maintenance being done. Bedliner is flaking in three spots. Last year, when they "touched up" the diamond gloss treatment, half a door wasn't washed! When I asked the manager how they could complete this service on a dirty vehicle, all I got was a dumb look. Despite the warranty stating you have 30 days from the time you notice rust to notify them, they told me, "you have to have perforation before you have a claim." They didn't make a notation in my file concerning the noticeable rust until i pushed the issue. First and last time using Ziebart. read more

I recently had Ziebart Batavia, NY install a tri-fold tarp to my RAM truck. I took my grass clippings to the Yard Waste Station and folded the first section backwards. As I was driving down the road, the wind caught the panel and raised it and slammed it down. Doing so, it separated the panels at the hinge section. I took the truck in and talk to Ziebart Service Advisor Eric Miller and explained my problem. He had a service tech look at it and within 20 minutes the tarp was repaired, and he did not charge me. I was impressed with their professionalism, courtesy and the cleanliness of the facility. I will definitely tell and direct my friends and acquaintances to Ziebart in the future. read more

This place definitely does quality work. I got my windows tinted plus interior detail. The car literally looks brand-new. The work they did was top quality. However, they called me halfway throughout the day and put tons of pressure on me to get diamond gloss and rust proof the underneath. I kept saying no thanks, but he kept lowering the price and going on and on how I should do it. I finally said go ahead and do it. The diamond gloss looks fantastic. Just was there for a 1030 appointment to have four small windows with tint to be removed. It took almost FOUR hours. We received no notification of how long it would take on the phone or at the office. Just asked if we were waiting or coming back. We said waiting and that was it. After an hour and a half we went up and asked how much longer. We were told another hour. Finally went to grab something to eat and we called back at an hour waiting and were told "it should be done in a little while". Very disappointed in the communication and service. read more
