Took about 30 mins despite 1 other customer. The last 2 times I have gotten my oil changed, they never fully put my skid plate back on. One literally fell off so I had to get a new one. I just went to get an oil change again, and they never secured half the screws on the new skid plate so it's just dragging on the ground. I also heard something fall off the bottom of my car a few miles down the road and my car is REALLY loud now, so I have to go get it looked at. never going back. read more

the only thing the employees were concerned with was getting off. the wait time once we were in the bay was ridiculous. But what really made me write this review is the lies on the invoice. nothing was checked, not the wipers or fluids not the tires or lights. we simply got an oil change .. unacceptable that the invoice says checked. read more

Don't know much about their oil change service but don't expect reliability if you need an inspection. They, and other locations locally, have signs up front saying they'll do inspections but as soon as i pulled in they tell me "nope sorry, we don't do that here." The few locations around town that sometimes have an inspection guy wont take you if you dont get there early enough so i wasted my time here and elsewhere too. One employee suggested i call ahead of time to see when they have inspections available but i have yet to get a person on the phone. Thanks for nothing. read more

I've been a long time customer of valvoline (although not this location ) And the price just keeps going up and up. I've been shopping for a new oil change place but decided to give it another shot as I had a $10 off coupon this month. To my surprise, the rates have gone up again. With the coupon I paid more today than any other oil change in my driving history. $60 after the $10 off. Sorry guys, your value of convenience is no longer there. Your 3x more expensive than any of your competitors. So long. By the way, I've noticed on my bill, you noted an oil, transmission, and differential leak on my bill. When we're you going to tell me? And where is it leaking to/from as my driveway is drip free? read more

Went to the Spencerport Rd/LongPond Rd Valvoline and had 5 excellent women inspect my car. All were great! From the kind voiced lady who pre serviced me in before pulling in the bay, the lady who checked me in. She did something no one ever did- she knew I didn't trust myself going on the lift and said "you've got this". Little things. The mechanic even answered a question for my husband who is also a question. There were 5 women and 2 men there and they were ALL great! And fast! Especially after I'd just left the Valvoline on Chili- had a BAD experience. I'll drive the extra 5 miles to go here. They also had a sign saying they had no work injuries since before 2012. From what I saw, these women were more organized, honest and laid back than any shop I've been in all my years -ever. There was a bit of a wait but they were upfront and accurate to the minute about how long the car ahead of me was and how long mine would be. I Highly recommended The 5 mechanics ( 4 workers and especially the 1 Asst manager/certified NYS inspector) who worked today At 427 Spencerport Rd. I brought my mechanic husband to come with me after the other valvoline tried to upsell unnecessary things and went to this site which was a different place because I didn't want to deal with the same thing but was so pleasantly surprised at how good the experience was especially in comparison! read more

I came in today for a conventional oil change with a $7 off coupon. I paid $70.18 21.99 air filter 42.99 oil change I believe they tricked me and didn't honor the coupon after I confirmed it with the CSR. Very disappointed and will not return! read more

I sign up for a Yelp account just so that I can share my bad experience with this store. The only conclusions that I can make about Valvoline on Spencerport Rd are either or both of the following: 1. This shop is dishonest and they were trying to make money off from me. 2. They don't know what they are doing, and probably not qualified to perform these type of works. Here is what happened: It's a 2013 Van with 11000 miles on it. I went there for the NYS inspection. Upon pulling into the garage, I was offered to rotate my tire (up sell?) I nicely turn it down because the dealer just rotated the tires couple months ago. While they (Valvoline on Spencerport Rd) inspect my car, they told me two items failed inspection: 1. "The wiper was not clearing". 2. "The license plate light was not on". A lady told me that it will fail the inspection if I don't have it fix, and they gave me the price to fix them. I was suspicious of it, because it was just "serviced" by the dealer couple months ago; and the wiper was clearing fine while I was driving. But my 2.5 years old was waiting with me, so I did't want to argue (and didn't want to bring it back another time for inspection.) After they installed the wiper, one guy was trying to remove the back panel to replace the light. Another guy (who seems more experienced) told the first guy that they have broken a lot of the snap before; and he told me that if I want to have them install it, they will not be responsible for breaking anything. And, he gave me another option to bring it to the dealer with a failed inspection and have them fix it , then bring it back for re-inspection for free. The end result was a failed inspection with 48.xx out of pocket, with the NYS inspection sticker already removed (And, I questioned them about getting a ticket, and they told me I can show them the receipt of failed inspection). So, I bring it to the dealer immediately (15 miles of driving, and a change of my entire afternoon plan) and have them check out the light. And, they found that it was working fine. And, I had the dealer inspect the car for me - so that I don't need to bring it back to valvoline and pay for other "failed" items. BTW, I have written receipt/proof from Valvoline regarding the reason for failed inspection, and the dealer's verification of the light is working. read more

Stopped in around 5:15pm to get a NYS Inspection on my 1 year old car, should be no problem I thought. Wrong! There was no other cars there when I pulled up, yet they told me that if anyone else pulled in, I'd have to wait for them because they stop doing inspections at 5pm. I said ok fine. The kid goes to get on the inspection computer and two other cars pull in. He says he's locked out and can't do an inspection, so I left. This is the third time in the past few years I've tried to get my car inspected at Valvoline and they've pulled some sort of crap like this. I know they don't really make any money on inspections, but they definitely won't make any money on oil changes from me because I'm done giving them my business. read more

I went in for an oil change A few days later I had a blown engine, there was not a drop of oil in my car. This is the 2nd time I have had an issue with Valvoline. This time I no longer have a vehicle. They said I had an oil leak and tranny leak prior to there service, I did not have any leaks at all. They never topped off any fluids. DO NOT GO TO VALVOLINE, getting the run away from them, there not calling me back to rectify the problem. I am forced to contact my attorney, there are many negative comments about VAVOLINE EVERYWHERE. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE DON'T GO THERE!!!!! read more

The big price for a standard oil change is the determining factor. I don't think I'll be back again.
