I really wanted to go with Ziebart, but the experience just wasn't great. They weren't very responsive and didn't seem all that interested in helping. I had a few questions about the type of undercoating they use and whether there were less damaging options in case it ever chipped. The answers I got felt rushed and vague, and then they just stopped replying altogether. I ended up doing the job myself with Fluid Film and Cosmoline. It was definitely messier and probably not as thorough as a pro could do, but I didn't feel confident they'd take the time or care to do it right. Disappointing. read more

I've been taking my Rogue to the Franklin Park location since i bought it in 2016. I'm in for a remote start and rustproofing. The remote start isnt top of the line but whenever I have an issue with it or the FOB. I bring it in and they take care of it no questions asked. Be sure to buy the extended warranty on it. Without it the fob antenna has broken several times and the warranty covers it for replacement at no additional cost. As for the rustproofing, not much to say its doing what it's suppose to do. One year they oversprayed my rims with the rustproof coating. Took it back and cleaned it off. Since then have been excellent and no further issues on touchups. My only dislike i can say is the undercoating smells. It will get some getting used to until it dissipates after about a week on first application and futher applications. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU ZFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was organizing my old paperwork and ran across a receipt from this shop back in 2001. Ziebart FP was the last shop that maintained the undercoat on my 1998 RAV4-L before I drove it to our new home in crazy So Cal where we have no Ziebart dealers within hundreds of miles. When I decided to buy a new car, my dad convinced me to have it undercoated by Ziebart. He said Ziebart is the first place you need to drive, when you take your new car off the dealer's lot. Actually, it sounded more like this: "Before you go anywhere with that new vehicle, you drive right over to Ziebart and have that thing undercoated. Don't let the car dealer do it. It's not cheap and its gonna take a day or so, but it will be worth the money in the long run." That was back in June 1998. I never questioned his advice about cars and drove right over to Ziebart to have the RAV undercoated. The RAV was originally undercoated at the shop on Rand Road in DesPlaines, but Ziebart FP maintained it after the Rand Rd location closed. Now, despite 3 Chicago winters (1998, 1999 + 2000), and no undercoating maintenance after 2001, the RAV is over 21 years old and still looking great - almost like a new car!!! In fact, it looks better than RAVs that never left California! I attribute that to the great undercoating job ZFP did! Dad is gone now - passed away in 2002. I would give 0, A. Against Illinois State Law they are charging tax on Labor, I paid 10% tax on truck undercoating for the whole bill, when I should be charged tax on Material ONLY. B. I made an Appointment 3 weeks in advance walked through all the options and spoke with someone asking for all the products , they said it would be $900, I said Fine. Yesterday, I drop off my truck and I take them through the truck and point out things I don't want them to coat and I specifically said don't coat THE AIR HORN. The system is caked in overspray the electrical motor fins are all covered. I call today to have them address the issue and stating I will need a credit for coming back in, they told me they can't help me. Save your time and money and go somewhere they actually care about your car and your business. Sad how low the quality of work was on my truck, after he was touting how great they wrap everything. WHAT a JOKE! Run away from these guys and someone needs to look at how they are taxing customers, this is no different than a dealer for labor and material and we are getting taxed on the entire amount and that's WrONG! read more

If I could give this business 6 stars I would! I seldom handout positive reviews unless it is truly earned but after shopping for 3 days, doing a lot of research on LineX, The Protector, ValueGuard, and many others I felt Ziebart offered the the best solution! I called on other competitors and asking them specifically what the process was down to the exact details, I was horrified one competitor said they simply wipe the frame down if there is some road grime no big deal! I was like "no way! No way will I take my truck here. After speaking to Bob at this Ziebart location he was very nice, friendly, and he explained the entire process. Without even asking he told me the first thing they do is power wash the entire undercarriage and they inspect for any pre-existing rust which at that point they use rust eliminator to nutraulize that. They do this so you are not covering the rust up with the undercoating which makes sense. Then they rust proof the doors with a yellow like wax color while the undercarriage is drying then they spray the entire undercarriage. After that they wash the vehicle then they double check for missed spots. I paid $649 got the special and with Tax and county fees it was $740 dollars around. All and all I am very glad I got this procedure done. I was hesitating for a bit, not wanting to spend $700 but I plan on keeping this truck for 10 plus years so I decided it's the right thing to do. I strongly encourage anyone regardless if your vehicle is galvanized from factory, this is a great way to extend the life of your car. read more

So no more having to detailing during the year. They clay and polish before the diamond gloss. They got rid of the crusty salt on the carpet. I have a Tesla Model 3 brand new. Manger Jim I believe is great and the people here are also great. I got the ceramic coating and a tint on my front windshield, ceramic came out great but the tint had an issue. Seemed like a scratch on the windshield or tint. I told jim 10min after leaving the shop he looked at it and took me in next available week. They fixed it and no charge. They also kept my seats great! My seats can get easily stained and he cared for it greatly and everything else. read more

After reading the reviews my mind was made up this was the place to go and get my underbody of my vehicle "rust proofed". My vehicle is hardly a year old and I've owned it less than a year. From the dealer it had most of the underbody was already coated with some sort of treatment. It looks like it came with from the dealer that way with a tar treatment. I figured Ziebart could touch up the areas I was concerned about. So 549.00 dollars later plus taxes and environmental fees and I don't really feel impressed. Knowing how meticulous I am maybe because it's my vehicle maybe my standards are just too high. Clearly though there are areas on my vehicle that were coated on one side and not coated on the other side. Coating smeared on parts of the transmission, driveshaft and exhaust. Part of the wheel well was coated on the driver's side but not touched at all on the passenger side. Some parts of the underbody that were not coated from the dealer where you could see paint I was hoping they'd get that covered but they didn't. I was told "rust proofing" coats everything on the under side but the "engine and transmission"...apparently not....even close. It honestly looked like someone sent a first grader to arts class with a can of black spray paint. Next time I'll just order some chassis preserver from Amazon and do it myself like I did for my last vehicle. I'd save yourself the hundreds of dollars and do the underbody for a fraction of the price yourself. Jim seemed very nice, polite, courteous and he even seemed to know what he was talking about.
