One of the best california style taco places i have ever been to. I have been here multiple times and am so grateful they are there. The food is amazing. Free chips and salsa when you order which you don't see anywhere. Great drinks a menu that stays fresh and new. Great atmosphere and cool decor. They have a great taco Tuesday with great prices that go from a couple bucks to about $4.50 per taco depending on the ingredients. Each of these tacos are great it is so hard not to order them all. Because of he ingredients the tacos are filling. The one thing i wish they would change and who knows maybe they allow it, just not the time i asked. When you order the tacos on a normal night as a meal they only come with two not three which i feel would be better and you have to choose one style taco and cannot mix and match. This technically is the only reason i try and make it on Tuesdays only for the versatility of choice. An amazing appetizer is the buffalo egg rolls. Amazing. Great family of restaurants - Zims and Craft Street. Waitresses and bartenders are well-trained and their food is consistently excellent. I've been somewhat of a lunch regular since the place opened. Food is good, service is quick and pleasant, and the atmosphere is nice. Great place for adults and kids. This is actually the favorite restaurant of all 3 kids and right up there as a favorite with my wife and I. Volcano shrimp (tacos or side) are our favorites. read more

Went for the first time tonight with my family. What a refreshing treat. The food was not only delicious but beautiful as well. All fresh ingredients and made to order. This is a popular place with good food and fair service and hard to play down. ..my only issue is the beer, which they constantly rotate. . Great prices and a wonderful happy hour! It's great if you don't want to get all dressed up and drive a ways. It's nice to just go after work and grab a cheap beet and some food. Wow! I can't believe I've never visited here before tonight! The food was wonderful, and you can't beat $2 tacos - especially with the quality of the ingredients here! I love this place which is the only reason it's getting 3 stars after today's visit. I came in to eat at the bar at 2:15. I ordered 3 tacos and 35 minutes later, 2 came out. The food was dropped off by the bartender and she didn't ask if I needed anything else but instead she raced over to the corner to play with her friends child for the duration of my meal. After waiting 10 minutes to be given my check, I left hungry and dissatisfied. As a manager at another restaurant I would say to a small business owner, please speak with your staff on the basics of bartending and guest attentiveness. I will be back. read more

I've only been to Zim Zari once. I caught a piece of black plastic wash tub in my mouth from inside my food that was about half the size of my index finger. Excellent! After being disappointed at several other highly-rated restaurants on vacation, we sought the advice of the hotel's registration lady for a good local recommendation. We arrived at about 4:30 or 5 on a Thursday during spring break. It wasn't crowded, and more people were just beginning to come in for dinner when we left around 5:30. Our waitress was young and friendly. She allowed my picky-eater of a son to order off of the kid's menu, although he is a year too old. We started off with the lettuce wraps, which were great. The mangoes added a sweet tang to the spicy chicken. Their complimentary homemade chips and salsa were also very fresh and delicious. I ordered a pina colada, which was creamy and very large for the price ($5.50). For dinner, I had the filet mignon tacos, which were very good. The meat was tender and top-quality--and I am VERY picky about meat, especially red meat. My daughter had a complicated order (specifying amount of cheese, swapping sides, etc.), which was completely fulfilled. She said that her side salad was crisp, and the mango dressing was a nice change from the same-old dressings. Her veggie burrito was good as well. For dessert, fried ice cream was AMAZING. Great way to end the meal! And only $40 (before a tip) for it all! read more

My husband and I love to go there every Tuesday night for there $2.00 tacos. They're really good. I, usually get the pork and the fish, and my husband usually gets the filet mignon and shrimp. However, last time he got the magnolia beef and it was really good. The upside tacos are very good and filling. Nothing like you've seen before. The bar staff is friendly and wonderful and make really good drinks. There rice and beans, and vegetables are good. They're tortillas and sauce are the best I've ever had. The sauce is sweet and addicting. We love it. A great place to take the family or yourself. Also, the pork and plantain appetizer if very good too. I've never had a bad meal. read more

Have been many times. Love taco tuesday, My favorite is the volcano shrimp tacos. The seafood zimzalada is delicious. Servers are always friendly. My only complaint , last time we went we sat outside and there were 2 guys at the next table who thought they were at a cigar bar and smoked their cigars through the entire meal, even taking bites and then puffs. Very much ruined our meal. Would recommend if there are people eating outside at the tables that smoking should not be allowed. read more

Shrimp volcano tacos = amazing!! So I totally eat the same thing every time here, and I have no plans to try anything else so long as they have the shrimp volcano tacos. Popped in around 5:00 on a Sunday. Looked fun. Good seats, large screen playing World Cup. Fun concept. Clean. Friendly staff and yummy free chips & salsa. I ordered the veggie and bean burrito, and was somewhat disappointed. It looked delicious, but there was an overpowering flavor of some sort of sauce. I had fries as my side. They tasted heavy, so I tried some ketchup. It was so loaded with sugar, I couldn't eat it. I actually read the ingredients label: both high fructose corn syrup and fructose corn syrup are there!!! Then I realized the heavy taste in the burrito was too much grease used to grill the veggies and the heavy taste in the fries was old grease. Then I had a stomach ache. I took about 2/3 of the meal home in a doggie bag. I'll decide tomorrow whether I try it again or just throw it out. My friend had a hamburger and thought it was good. So, based on that, I may go back for a second try, but not right away. read more
