Yum! Take a Tarpon Springs stroll and have dinner at @refinedroots.fl Dinner tonight was perfect and the drinks were delicious! You won't be disappointed! #floridaeats #tarponsprings Quaint and quiet atmosphere with a modern twist on a historic building- we ate at the bar in the lush dining room, but they have a gorgeous patio to enjoy, too! I love meat and they had meat options on the menu, but my choices were vegetarian and they have gluten free options as well! Stars of the show were the starters- Root Florets with a mix of pickled and roasted cauliflower was a must order! Urban sprouts with whipped feta- yes, please...and thank you! I had "The Karen" which was a sandwich with roasted vegs and creamy ricotta and pesto. My friend had the Tuna Tataki and she really enjoyed it- but raw fish isn't my jam. I enjoyed the Unplanned Adventures specialty cocktail- whiskey-based but tasted like grownup Kool-Aid- very delicious! We dined there on a recommendation and we will be back!

Smoked Pork Belly (2nd menu variant)

To think that I ever doubted this place last review...Urban Roots has clearly always had its A-game. New items were also added to the menu, and I must say they are very impressive. In any case, let's get into it! So, I tried a few things before and after the third menu change, and I've some thoughts of the good sort. Once more their environment is clean and very classy, and they've even a patio in the back for any outdoor fans. The waiters and waitresses are still all polite, and they as well as the chef definitely listen to what the customer wants. Prior to the third menu change, I first tried the Smoked Pork Belly, which has a unique spin that seemed very reminiscent of Indian cuisine. I must admit I was rather surprised at how flavorful the cauliflower was and how well it meshed with the curry and cashews; Definitely a hit, and a show that the 2nd menu had many hidden gems which I overlooked! A month later, when the 3rd change happened, I tried the Turkey Burger Caprese (Which replaced "The gobbler" from the 2nd menu update) and it definitely brings memories of the Turkey Burger that was on the first menu...Infact, I'd say the 3rd variant actually surpasses the original recipe! The pesto spread actually compliments the turkey patty better than the avocado spread ever did. An absolute masterpiece that I intend to have as many times as I can. Not too long after,I tried one of their newer items, the Garden noodles, which felt like a unique spin on Pasta Agio e Olio and absolutely loved it. To put it in perspective, I remember a year ago at my sister's dinner reception I had tried Pasta Aglio e Olio for the first time, and I found the unique vegetable-based dish to be quite palatable and memorable...Urban Roots' Garden noodles builds upon the recipe, enhances it, and mixes it with various herbs and pistachios which brought back that wonderful feeling once more but multiplied it due to the plethora of flavors, leaving behind a feeling of nostalgia and satisfaction. Outside of food, they have come with a new mocktail known as the "Mocktail Era"; I must admit it's slightly less sweeter, but it's definitely reminiscent of a mojito which I can definitely appreciate. And of course, last but not least, their newest soup is the Spicy Tomato soup. Not much to say there, but when they say spicy, they mean well seasoned. Don't worry, you won't burn your mouth with this one! But remember, this is just what I've had; There are many things for you as a patron to try, and many I yet to try but cannot wait to! Overall this restaurant truly has blossomed over the course of almost 5 months, and while it has taken some time for it to figure out its menu, that it's always coming up with something new and innovative which always sets it apart from most restaurants in Tarpon Springs which always keeps me coming back. In spite of whatever criticisms I had of the 2nd menu change in my previous review, it was definitely for the best (I know I previously acted as if the 1st was the best, but even I knew there were a few misses on that version), and the 3rd menu update thus far feels like the best menu thus far. May Urban Roots continue to dig its roots into Tarpon Springs and leave its mark in the same way its sister location has!

I came here for the first time this past weekend. My boyfriend and I came for their brunch and it did not disappoint. First off, the deviled eggs with bacon jam were delicious. Sweet and savory! The ambiance inside is so relaxing and cozy. The service was great as well. The food came out very quickly. We ordered the dad bod bowl (DELICIOUS) And the badass burger. The burger was tasty but my favorite was the dad bod bowl. The steak was so tender and the cheese sauce was heavenly. I would definitely order that again! I also had an iced caramel latte which was the perfect amount of sweet. I'll definitely be back to try their lunch/dinner menu!

Found this incredible spot while in Tarpon Springs for a day visit and so excited I did! From the moment we walked in the staff greeted us smiling and friendly. Was very knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance is hipster farm to table atmosphere, kind, nice and comfortable. The food was so flavorful. A must is the brussel sprouts! AMAZING! My only disappointment is that I live in Baltimore and not close enough to come back here frequently. If you live here and you haven't tried this place...you are missing out.

I went here for my birthday as it was a place that i was meaning to try out. We got sat very quickly and the ambience was great. It's in downtown Tarpon Springs 5 minutes away from the Sponge Docks. The wait time was a bit long. The food was amazing the flavors were great, specially those truffle fries. Would recommend anyone out for stroll to have lunch here.

Amazing restaurant for lunch/brunch with the girls. The inside is beautiful and they even have a patio and bar outback. Menu was pretty large with options for vegan and gf. Dinner menu also looked great. Service was good. Overall good experience and I will be back.

I've been eager to try refined roots and it did not disappoint! We weren't as hungry but I am looking forward to returning and ordering several of the appetizers to share with others. The tuna dish and the Brad burger were a hit. Our server was sweet and the ambience was chill and fun.

Finally a fantastic restaurant that Tarpon Springs can brag about! The food and presentation is fantastic; it is elegant, eye pleasing and flavorful. This is my new favorite restaurant and will be coming back to try every single item on the menu!

Food was very good. Service was satisfactory. Environment was above par. There was live music that was a little loud but good music.

Very helpful answering all of our questions and even making suggestions. 3 of us got the Fish and Chips (2 of us shared 1 meal) and the other got the Captains Feast. The Fish and Chips is more than enough food for to feed 1 person. 2 Large pieces of flounder, fries, and slaw. Very fresh and crispy! (We had enough left over for my lunch the next day) The Captains Feast grilled, was also very fresh! Flounder, Scallops, Shrimp, Crab cake, and he ordered chips and slaw as a side. I would definitely suggest going and I know we will stop in for dinner again very soon. See u Soon!

However, even…read morewith our 5:45pm reservation "with handicap accessibility" noted, we were told by the belligerent hostess that we would need to sit at a high top or wait 1 hour. I told her to look at my mom and that I would not be doing that. She just said, "well that's the only options you have, I can't hold tables." "Well what is the point of a reservation with notes?" I replied. She proceeded to blame the other host and said "she didn't see anything and couldn't help, we would just need to wait." So I said "that's unacceptable." And when she replied again that she"couldn't do anything." I said "well let's talk to a manager then, because I'm not lifting my mom into one of those chairs." So she stormed off and the manager immediately apologized and said she would fix it while the hostess said I was yelling at her. Unbelievable. I just think the hostess needs a different job. I have never experienced someone so argumentative and rude as a hostess. Then I come here and read comments and clearly she is working a lot and ruining this awesome restaurants reputation. Give her a new job before you lose more customers!
