Wanted to go try out the best Mexican place in Oldsmar and I can see what the hype is all about!!! Greeted and seated soon as you walk in with a friendly smiling face. Love the decor clean establishment and great music. Our server was attentive and gave us lots of refills on the complimentary chips and salsa. The chimichanga was soo good came with rice and beans so fresh and flavorful. Also got 3 Mexican tacos two chicken one steak very good Chicken was my favorite. Good traditional Mexican food with one outstanding, humongous, amazing dish - Molcajete- everything in a large lava bowl- grilled chicken, steak, shrimp, chorizo, onions, peppers, hunks of cheese, and ground beef in a savory broth on the bottom. This review is for future Christina since this is our new go to Mexican spot. You can order the margaritas in small, medium (which it's incorrectly labeled large on the menu) and jumbo size. Seeing what a medium looks like I can't imagine how big a jumbo is. I got a blueberry margarita, which was ok, but next time I'll try something else. One medium is a good size to keep me buzzed all evening. The kids wanted the mozzarella sticks which came with fries. They did eat some, so I'm ok ordering it again. Next time only get one quesadilla. The kids barely touched them after demanding them. Hiro liked the shrimp, but we had to ask for it not spicy so they didn't spice it up. Even more than the shrimp he loved the steak and ate it out of Brandon's tacos. Brandon liked his steak tacos, the rice is really good as are the black beans. I wasn't a huge fan of the chips and salsa. Brandon liked his house margaritas. Parking is plentiful since this is a strip mall and there are tons of tables. We will definitely come back. read more

We walk in and it was GORGEOUS. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We got a jumbo pineapple margarita, the wet burrito with queso on it, the quesobirria burrito, and the birria tacos. The food was AMAZING. Everything about this place is beautiful. Overpriced, not worth the Money. We went for Happy, and for 2 People $90.11. Another person at our Table; 1 person, her Bill will $75. We were all shocked when they told us what we owed, as the waitress does NOT present Customers with their Tab/Bill UNTIL AFTER receiving payment. (they walk up to the table, and just tell you what you owe them). THEN, AFTER receiving the Receipt, we were SHOCKED to see that a 20% Service Charge was added to our Bill(s). This review is just for a service interaction. Can't speak to the food. Called to make a reservation. When I asked what times were available, he told me that they were open until 11. So I told him that we'd like a reservation for 6 at 7:30pm. And then he'd told me we'd have to leave by 11 pm. Which was weird and extremely off putting and gave me the ick. Didn't make a reservation and going to another Mexican place in the area. Sad. Wish I could chalk this up to a language barrier...but it's just a bad attitude from the staff/owner. read more

Wow. This is by far the best Mexican I've had in all Of Florida !! Waitress Maria was adorable and the food and service was exceptional Portion sizes were legit. And I had a Mexican mule which was not watered down. With real mint and the beer was ice cold !!! The guacamole Wasn't just a bunch of mush with water added.....this was real cut high quality avocado in chunks with fresh cilantro , etc!! I will Make This place my go To When coming Here!! This place has been one of my favorite places for years but it seems like they are not understanding how to speak to their customers politely . Not realizing that a good customer is what brings the restaurant there good reviews but sadly to say they were wrong with an my order a few times, but today was the limit , for they really messed up big this time around. They sent my food ice cold on todays take out order, for they seemed to have smashed my order into a small container forgetting to add white cheese , and the sauces that come with it , they even forgot to send the chips that come with the meal as well . They seem not to understand that the customer is always right .. so my family and me will never be stepping foot into there restaurant again . As for there night Manager , she needs to learn how to speak to her customer's on the phone , for we are the ones who pay for our food that actually is not cheap , and we would expect all our takeout food to be just like if we were being served inside their restaurant . As for there female Night Manager she actually had the nerve to tell us to drive back to the restaurant that is about to close in10 minutes , and they will redo the order that was very disappointing to even look at in the first place , and the food was iced cold, and thrown inside a small takeout container that made the food look like it had been stuffed into a small container. read more

Went for dinner with my family. Such a nice environment. I got fajitas and my mom got tacos and I love that you get t them traditional Mexican or texmex. The tortillas tasted super fresh. I also ordered the tacos paraiso for lunch and it was amazing!! Super fresh, the flavors were all on point and the rice and beans were steaming when I got it. This is a wonderful restaurant - the staff is friendly, guac is fresh and delicious, margaritas are tasty (and strong!), and the food is authentic. They have numerous healthier choices for those who care (as I do) such as the tequila chicken which is a ton of thin delicious grilled chicken with sautéed veggies and rice. This place was cute and provided a large portion, but it was a bit creepy. I went to meet up with a friend. Apparently the owner, Diego, cared for us. I ordered the attached salad and asked for the dressing on the side. I never received the dressing. Also didn't expect the vegetables to be cooked. But the creepiest was when Diego decided he wanted to take a picture of my friend and I for what he said was the Facebook page. But a month later, I still don't see the picture on any of their social media pages. Hope he didn't decide to keep it for himself. read more

Went back here with family after church because daughters wanted Mexican. About 12:30 and not very busy so the five of us were seated right away in the left rear. A bit lonely because during the 100+ minutes no one else were seated in the area. First we ordered the Queso Fundida dip and chips to share. That arrived in 30 minutes. Then we ordered the Tex Mex tacos, Kid's Quesadilla with Fries, Flautas, Birria Taco and Tostado. Meals came about 40 minutes later. Food was very tasty but the Tex Mex Tacos must have sat for awhile since all three tacos were soggy and fell apart. Not sure why the service was so slow. Place was not crowded. Maybe they were short of cooks and servers. Or maybe we were forgotten because we were out of sight. We asked for a take out box and check. After a 10 minute wait I flagged down a server and got the box, but had to leave to make an appointment at 2:30 so left my my credit card with my wife and left to take my daughter to appointment. Taco Tuesday!! My friend and I came here for a girls night and what's better than tequila and tacos? Since moving to Tampa it's been hard to find good Mexican food. There's so much amazing Cuban, Chilean, Peruvian, and several other Latin restaurants but just haven't found a Mexican go to spot. Right away the server was so friendly and on point with the service! Cute ambiance inside and wasn't too busy. For starters we got the Margaritas which are huge and delicious and come with a cute flower along with the creamy and tasty queso dip. For our mains we order the Tacos el Paraiso, this entree comes with 3 tacos with a side of rice and beans. Surprise surprise I filled up on the chips and margaritas so took my tacos home. Very average place. Came here as a walk in on Friday night, because pictures looked nice. Inside it's very uninviting, looks more as a diner than a restaurant. Menu is huge, so you could definitely select anything you like. They have lots of drinks but we don't try any. I had tacos and husband had fajitas. I would say that for was just ok. Nothing special. Definitely has much better Mexican food in the past. I would recommend doing take out, since indoor is not very pleasant so taking out would save some money. Service was good, attentive and quick. We have a once a month Dinner club that goes to different restaurant every month and this was so far the best this year The only issue we had was that a lot of the people double tipped because they didn't realize that the tip was already added in. We're always on the hunt for a Mexican restaurant that is not just average. Unfortunately El Paraiso ( EP) was nothing but average. I saw previous reviews stating service can be poor at EP. Actually we found the service to be fine. What disappointed was the food. I ordered a beef enchilada & a chicken enchilada. Both were bland & boring & basic. There was a lack of flavor, & they tasted like no effort was put into making them more than plain. For example the beef enchilada was ground beef wrapped in a tortilla, topped with cheese. My husband and I recently visited this new establishment. It was always a restaurant but now it's under new management with lots of changes on the inside and I think a new name. The shop owners next-door told us it was great, so we gave it a try, because we love Mexican! It absolutely did not disappoint! The environment is really cool. The bar area is great and they have plenty to offer. The ambience is great. The bartender Diego who may be an owner or manager was fantastic. He introduced himself and served us immediately, made suggestions and the food was great. My husband had the tropical chicken bowl and I had the chicken tortilla soup, which was huge and packed with chicken and veggies and a soft taco. They have a ton to offer on their menu!
