I first took a motorhome to Hillmans for…read morea "pre-purchase" inspection that was apparently never done, as when I had to remove the engine cover weeks later, there was an animal next, obviously old, on top of the engine block. Hillmans told me the unit was in good shape. 2 weeks later, returning from our second camping trip (local, thank goodness), we overheated. Since I had already scheduled service for a generator that kept stalling and a refrigerator that didn't get cold (thanks for the "pre-purchase inspection...), I added that to the list. After two days, I called for an update and was told the radiator needed to be replaced. Three days after that, I cancelled my scheduled camping trip due to not having a motorhome to go in. I was told the new radiator was $1500.00 but they could send the old one out for a re-core. A week after than, I again called for an update and they claimed to have not heard from the radiator shop but my generator had been repaired and the refrigerator was cold. I expressed my displeasure that Hillman had not called me and that I had to keep calling for updates. Long story short, they never called me until I called complaining and, after two weeks, I had a new radiator and a refrigerator that still wasn't cooling. The generator was untested. Ricky at Hillman told me he'd price a new reefer and get back to me. Still waiting for that call. Meanwhile, the motorhome has been leaking transmission fluid in my driveway and any other place the unit has been, the generator continues to stall and I finally got the reefer working myself. The motorhome is now at another shop, and the first question I got was "who put this radiator in? All the transmission lines are cross threaded and leaking". I paid Hillman $3,000.00 for all this work and the only thing I got was excuses and a poorly installed radiator. Lesson learned.... 10/8 - Update from the shop fixing what HIllman didn't: ""Good evening Bob, just letting you know I literally just closed the hood on your RV & it's all set for pickup tomorrow....Please give me an idea when you're going to come by and pick it up.... We will talk then about going after the place that did this terrible butcher job." and "but we definitely need to get your money back from those hacks."

I had no problem finding the place- the building is right off of Transit Rd, literally. There is no driveway- you just pull right off the road and you're in the parking lot! I was the only one there at the time. They took my car back right away as I sat in the waiting area. It's a nice, clean area with comfy chairs, lots of magazines, and even a few childrens books. There is a TV and remote but I chose not to turn it on. Before I knew it, my car was finished, I paid at the counter, and was on my way! All-in-all a very pleasant experience. I will definitely go back again for my next inspection and will recommend this business to others.

It needed brakes, a ball joint, and the tires were right at the limit. Considering the car now had almost 80k I ordered new front brakes, calipers, and rotors. I went to install the parts and that's when it began. I was able to remove 4 of the 5 lug nuts by hand, and by hand, I mean with nothing but a socket and my hand, I didn't even need a rachet! The fifth came off without a single impact from the air gun, it spun right off. I was upset, but I figured everyone makes mistakes, and luckily, nothing happened. I took the car back for reinspection and to have the new front tires put on. After cashing out, I just felt I had to at least tell the shop owner what happened. I wasn't mad but it did bother me that it happened because my wife drives my 6yo daughter around in that vehicle. I expected an apology and for them to bring it to the technician's attention, after all, it could have been a serious situation. Well, this was not what happened. The owner first told me they do not remove a wheel during an inspection. Unfortunately, this upset me even more because that meant that the vehicle my wife drives my daughter around in was in an unsafe condition for a lot longer than a couple weeks. To top it off the vehicle had only been serviced at South Niagara for at least the prior two years so it was still on them. It also meant they did not perform the inspection to NYS standards which require that at least 1 front wheel be removed during an NYS Inspection. I brought both these points to their attention and the owner had the technician who inspected the vehicle come up front and tell me that they do need to remove a wheel for the inspection. I pulled up the New York State Inspection guidelines stating the requirement and they would not read them and continued to deny that a wheel needed to be removed for NYS Inspection. I was livid and upset. Not only did they put my daughter's life in danger they would not even recognize what was written in NYS inspection law and tried to deny the whole thing.

Brian started it right up. He tested the battery with some fancy equipment and determined the battery was pretty much shot. I followed him to the shop because my car requires the battery to be installed from underneath using the lift. Very happy with these guys.

Well he was nice enough to steal all the emblems out of the car which are irreplaceable the emblem that was in the dash you cannot find the bracket to reinstall this emblem if I found one I will find you and you will know it's me.
