It was a Tuesday and believe it or not, it's buy two, get one free on the pastries, which Tim informed me his wife bakes. Zimo has such a positive, chill zen vibe. Great music and atmosphere. Ideal place to go on a first date. My friend and I really enjoyed our entrées and she got to pick out a free pastry for her birthday as well. We'll definitely be back. My pad Thai was amazing. I got my order through ubereats! I really enjoyed my milk tea. It was the cheese rose milk tea. Cheese foam is my favorite topping on any milk tea, despite the flavor. It's a salty sweet cheesecake flavor,... sort of. Just try it! I liked the flavoring of my Salt Pepper Chicken Sandwich. It was seasoned well. The bun was so nice and buttery. They use dark meat. The texture of the chicken threw me off though. I had to keep double checking if my chicken was done. I wish they could fried the chicken a little longer and/or have a bit more crisp to it. I added ruffle chips to my sandwich to get over the texture, but didn't not finish it all (maybe half). I wouldn't get the sandwich again, but I would try another sandwich that has "crispy" in its title. For it to be to-go/ubereats, they packaged everything pretty well. My food bag was stapled shut and my milk tea was in a plastic bag and knotted. So they do very well with packaging for togo. read more

This is a cute tea shop that also has Asian pastries and snack food. Seating available and the areas are kept so clean. Staff is friendly!! They were filling the areas where the pastries were when we arrived and they were so fresh!! They even have cookies. I was so torn on what to try. I'm typically a matcha tea girl but wanted to try something different since I know what tea shop has the matcha I prefer anyways. So in speaking to the staff member she recommended the Super Fruit tea. She said it was their top seller and her favorite. She wasn't wrong! I loved it! Loved that it has fresh fruit slices and mango chunks in it. I got 2 of them, 1 with zero sugar and 1 with 30% sugar. Loved both ways. They do use a syrup in making the tea so they cannot get truly zero sugar however I prefer as low as possible! I did also get 2 pastries -- the matcha red bean mochi and the custard bun. Can't wait to try them! The staff actually forgot to put the fruit slices in my tea and when I asked she was so apologetic and quickly fixed it. This cafe/bakery is tucked away into a corner of a shopping plaza that contains a bunch of assorted businesses. Parking lot is big and if you cannot find parking, you're doing something wrong. First impression walking in: OH! It's an Asian bakery AND tea shop. That made me feel better since I'm not necessarily a tea guy. Ended up ordering a fruit tea with 30% sweetness just to try it out. Didn't taste bad and it had a bunch of fruit mixed in, hence being named fruit tea. I thought the little black seeds, which are edible we're a little weird, but not bad all tings considered. We also purchased a few baked goods. Specifically, a matcha red bean bun and a custard bun. Haven't had a chance to eat them just yet, but will. Tehy certainly look and smell good. I am rarely in Tampa/Riverview anymore since moving to South Carolina, but when I am, I always want to try something new! This cafe was minutes down the road from my mom's house so I decided to try it after looking up pictures on Instagram. Wow was it delicious! I arrived there at 11 on a Sunday and the pastries were flying off the shelves. In the blink of an eye, all the cheese bread sold out and several customers were asking for more. I was taking some home so I decided to get a bunch of things. Garlic Hot Dog bun, Rose Bun, Curry Chicken, BBQ pork floss bun and two almond cinnamon buns. Before I hit the road to head back home I ate the garlic Hot Dog bun and omg, it was so good! I bought 2 more right after! I also ordered a cheese jasmine green tea and it was so fragrant, floral and refreshing! There is so much to choose from, service is fast and friendly! I was meeting some coworkers at Zimo for a brunch get together. The staff was nice & got our orders quickly. Although I didn't order any baked goods on this particular trip, I did order the spicy popcorn chicken, spicy edamame, & Thai tea. Yes I love all things spicy! The chicken has really great flavor. I could easily see myself eating this after a long days work when I'm really not super hungry, but need to eat because it certainly was more than enough. The edamame was crunchy with the right amount of spice--not too overpowering, but definitely delicious. The only thing I truly could have gone without ordering was the Thai tea. It wasn't bad but it also wasn't very sweet. I think I'm used to having it sweet and so I thought that all Thai teas taste alike; however, I've come to realize that may not be the case. I can't speak to the calamari because my friend ordered those. Overall, I'd say, I'll definitely be back next time to try the pastries & to get that popcorn chicken once again. Zimo, what can I say? I absolutely love this place! My sister and I were craving some Boba tea and decided to try out a new spot and we are so happy that we did! The moment we walked in, I knew that we made the right decision. This well lit and cozy shop was all we needed for the cooler afternoon. The decor was tastefully done with modern and zen touches, which contributed to the ambience of the cafe, even had an IG worthy photo op spot. The cashier and other worker were so kind and patient enough to tell us their recommendation based on our preferences and let me say this...they were spot on ! I had the Taro milk tea with boba (absolutely delicious) and my sister had the white chocolate latte. which were both DELICIOUS!! I also had the pork gyoza which was phenomenal...so crispy, flavorful and filling! The prices and portions were great also! The pastries seem to be a hot commodity as they were all sold out by the time we got there but I'll definitely have to come back to try more things on the menu (popcorn chicken, YES please!!) and some pastries! Absolutely delicious dark meat Spicy Crispy Sandwich... juicy and full of flavor. Also order the Sichuan Fries, EXTRA spicy. And they were excellent also... and had more of the spice then my companions did, but not what I would spicy. Just tasty! The buns and breads and cookies here make me glad I don't live closer... or I would be in trouble. I found Japanese style Milk bread (which is some of the best bread I have ever had or made)... and looking forward to trying this. Any chance to hit up an Asian bakery will be taken, so Zimo was an easy and outstanding choice! This bakery/ cafe is so sweet it brings some rose to your cheeks and air to your lungs. I came here most specifically because I had heard about their Ube bread and I was dying to try it. Of course, when I went they were out! Though I felt quite sad, I rested my case by trying a taro mochi bread, red velvet cake roll, and brown sugar tiger boba. Most of these choices made up for missing out on the ube (as much as that can be made up for). The mochi bread was moist and delicate, it was super duper sweet and I don't know if it is supposed to be that way but I enjoyed it. It was so sweet I couldn't finish it in one sitting but that's not a bad thing. The red velvet roll was actually the opposite- it was so un-sweet it almost didn't have a taste. That was slightly disappointing. And the boba was just marvelous, as gladly anticipated! It was caramelly and creamy and the boba was soft chewy and melt in your mouth. Being from out of town, it took me a bit to find Zimo from where I was staying but it was worth the ride. The baked goods were fluffy, soft and fresh and as others shared, the red bean filling was delicious. I also bought the rose bun and a Zimo loaf of bread and ordered an iced white chocolate mocha. The cup my drink came in was a good quality, reusable logo plastic cup with a heart shaped stopper. The drink was refreshing, creamy and had just the right amount of ice. Inside Zimo is very spacious and tidy and cute little touches of decor on the tables. I appreciated the presentation of baked goods and friendly service. Cute spot in the same plaza as sky zone. I wanted to try yet another new milk tea spot so I decided to give this one a go. I walked inside and the first thing I seen was a little bakery section with all kinds of delicious breads and desserts! They even had a case by the counter that had some beautiful treats. I ended up getting some pineapple bread and also the garlic butter with cheese both sweet and savory. For a drink I got the Taro milk tea with a caramel brûlée top, the drink for me was too sweet and that was before I tasted the top which was actually not bad the drink was sweeter than the caramel. The pineapple bread was good and the garlic bread part was great but didn't love the cheese inside but I would be back try try some more bake goods. read more
