It's the same great boba shop and owners, only it's no longer under the umbrella of Onezo. Which is actually a great thing because they are now able to create more unique boba flavors and add more snack options. In some ways, it's better because they've learned from the best while making their own mark. Peach was the flavor of the boba on the day of my visit. They recently had lavender and rose for Valentine's Day and dragon fruit for the Lunar New Year. My all-time favorite is the black sesame boba which adds even more flavor when paired with their black sesame milk tea. They've added a few more snacks since the last time I was there. I still see the bao buns which I love. The crinkle-cut air fries were new to me. It was all enjoyable. It continues to be my favorite place to stop when returning from Tampa on the Selmon Expressway. It's just too convenient & tempting to pass up since it's right there off of Falkenburg and Causeway Blvd. The service is great, and the drinks are perfect every time. This was some of the best boba I've ever had. You can tell it was homemade and cooked to perfection. It had the right amount of chew and not hard in the middle. We've been coming here since it was OneZo and drive over an hour for their boba, it is by far the best we've had anywhere and we've tried a lot of places We saw that it was renamed and were worried that the owner or quality may have changed, but it's just as good if not better, as they now have a lot of new special items on the menu and also offer coffee additions! We tried our tried & true Taro Milk Tea with brown sugar boba and it was amazing as usual, and also tried the Taro Matcha with brown sugar boba and toasted cheese foam which was so good. My husband got the Blueberry Pancake Latte which had coffee instead of tea and the blueberry vanilla boba in it was SO good and flavorful, and the coffee is a really nice addition to the menu. The staff here is always so nice and helpful, and we noticed familiar faces among them, too. When you go out to the car with what must be only your second milk tea boba ever-and immediately want to write a review, you know it's gotta be good! I decided stopped by Onezo on a Saturday, just after noon. It's in the Village at Causeway plaza-which has Canopy Road at one end and Strandhill Public on the other. Onezo is in the middle... and there's tons of parking. I felt a little like a fish out of water. The place was busy, but not hectic-and everyone seemed to know exactly what they wanted and all the lingo associated with it. I... did not. Thankfully, one of the staffers sensed my fear and jumped right in. She asked me four questions and zeroed right in on something I should like. She nailed it! The Hong Kong milk tea with 30% sugar and brown sugar boba was perfect. It totally fit my palette. I am so *not an expert, but I'm super impressed by the creamy, but not too sweet base and the silky boba. (They make the boba in house). I wish I'd gotten the name of the young woman who helped me-she was so knowledgeable and nice. I won't feel nearly as clueless next time. Onezo is small, with mostly takeout customers-but there is a tall counter to stand by and a couch with a low table and really cute animal stools. It's spotless in there-so clean and comfy. I spend my workday here after I volunteer on Mondays and it is such an enjoyable place to be. Come in, set up with wifi and charging ports, and get your work done, socialize, and taste test whatever you're interested in. They are constantly changing the boba of the week. The staff are welcoming from the moment you come in. In my visit I tried out their Gingerbread Latte and Flaming Brown Suga Boba Latte, both excellent and great tasting Bobas. Recommended. Made the trek over from Tampa to try this place out. They make their own boba in-house. They don't have milk alternative so only whole milk. Given this I decided to order a fruit tea. The honey green tea with 70% sugar is my favorite treat. It reminds me of tea shops in Taiwan more than any other place I've tried in Tampa. Had the best experience here at this new boba spot. I had scoped it out ahead of time and knew it was not too big, but I definitely wanted to snag the couch spot. Came in on a weekday with my friend and everyone working was super friendly. They had lots of great suggestions which were so helpful. It was nice that I could try the diff boba that they had which at the time was Crystal boba and brown sugar boba. Since I said I like fruity they said the best first suggestion was the signature fresh fruit tea. It had tons of fresh fruit and They added extra boba for my birthday which was a nice little gesture that I appreciated. My 100th Review! I wondered what my 100th review on Yelp would be and tried to plan my outings in the last few months for this OneZo opened in Brandon in an up and coming plaza. The flavor of the brewed teas here is excellent. I was so excited to be able to see them make the actual boba balls in the shop, amazing quality and no other boba shops in Tampa does this. TOPPINGS/BOBA They flavor the boba balls with matcha, taro, chrysanthemum etc etc. Each day there is a list of what flavors are available. I will try the cheese foam next time. Milk Teas The OneZo milk tea has a slight herbal flavor complementing the standard black tea. NonMilk Tea The Chrysanthemum Wintermelon tea was sooo good. Very refreshing summer drink. If you're familiar with Vietnamese herbal drinks (nuoc mat) like artichoke tea, you will really like this. Signature Teas The Fresh Fruit tea was zesty like orange juice with some tea. I preferred OneZo over the fresh fruit teas at other boba shops. Overall, this is a heaven sent boba shop for Brandon area, focused on high quality drinks and does not sell snacks. The boba is soft and fresh, and there are a wide variety of options on the menu, but it's not the best boba I've had, mediocre/average at best. For the cost, you're better going somewhere else. I also cannot recommend coming here or returning after experiencing their poor business practices. They clearly have a promotion for 10% off check ins (on Yelp) but the cashier refused to honor the promotion. She felt more inclined to redirect me to her instagram or ordering on DoorDash. Nice place for tea and handcrafted boba. Hand made boba? Yes, of course, we had to try it! Located in the same mini mall as Lorita's and Standhill Public is a small boba tea shop. It's overshadowed by its bigger neighbors, but you can find it if you park and walk. I had the fresh fruit tea, half sweet, with the handcrafted mango crystal boba. It was excellent, although a bit too sweet (I forgot about how sweet boba is, should have gotten the tea 25-30% sweet) for me. My husband had the strawberry milkshake and said it was delicious. My daughter had the mango milkshake with mango popping boba, and she loved it. My son had the mango latte with mango popping boba and loved it. The small store has a small seating area complete with stuffed animal footrests. My daughter loved sitting on the rhinoceros while waiting for our drinks. BEST Taro Milk Tea I've had! They use REAL FRESH taro. This makes such a difference in taste, It's not the sweet synthetic stuff. I will say this location feels kinda random - very middle of nowhere in Tampa, but willing to make the trek out here to enjoy some hand made boba! This is my favorite chain, so when I saw one in Tampa during our family vacation, I knew I would come out for this and was not disappointed. They have a rotating flavors of boba daily and since it was July 4th weekend, it was red, white and blue (watermelon, lychee and blueberry) and they were excellent and fresh. It really transforms their teas to lean fruiter, so pair that with something strong like a black tea or the oolong. I like mine at 50% since it lets the boba ball sweetness shine through. The brown sugar milk tea is also very good, albeit very sweet without cutting the sugar in half. That said, this location is a bit more expensive than other ones I've been to, but I think given the quality it's worth the price. read more
