I have been a consistent customer at Annie's Tea House since they opened a few years ago. My sister and I always wanted more Asian food and spots to open in the Brandon area and when Annie's opened, it felt like the universe heard our wishes LOL. Their quality of service, food, and atmosphere is hard to beat. Every single Boba I have ever ordered here has been a hit, the food has been hot and flavorful, and the service always, always friendly. Such a cute and spacious little tea shop that I found in Brandon! I haven't been here so my first time here my daughter and I eat got a drink. She got the mango nada and I got Annie oolong special .. Both are delicious. When I do have a little bit more time, I will try to eat something here. It's very spacious inside and the noise level is quiet and there is plenty of parking in the front. Another little hidden gem tucked on one of the busiest streets in the area. As soon as you walk inside you go from noisy cars passing you by to a cute boba and hibachi spot with pastel colors that will brighten your mood. You also get amazing service from the staff who instantly greet you once you step inside. We haven't tried the food yet, but will be coming back to do so. Our first experience we ordered a Strawberry Tea and a Salted Cheese Matcha Latte. You can request the teas to be as sweet or less sweet as you want them to be. I hate to drop stars but after many 5 + visits and trying to deal with the new owner personally i felt it justified. I really loved the original Annie. She was always so sweet personable and listened. If anyone knows where she went, please update their review . This has now been sold to a new ,much younger , and inexperienced owner. With that came new workers who in one instance was always on the phone. When asked if the bowl of unlabeled stickers was free my daughter wanted one she said No! oh so they are for sale and she said Yes, and went back to her phone lol. I didnt bother asking how much and didn't feel like purchasing a sticker at that point . So far I have brought my mother there, brought several food items for my whole family, including my toddler and all of which could not be finished. The variety of steak chicken noodles and vegetables were all too salty and heavy garlic , the zucchini tasted spoiled and not refrigerated. Vegetable portions have been reduced , not cooked long enough still very hard to chew with more of the carbs . with how the economy is going I've been cooking five days a week and being in the restaurant business, I know a thing or two about seasonings And food quality . I asked her politely twice in person if the recipe has changed ( it obviously has ) She got defensive and said nothing has changed. I said it's too salty for everyone to eat that even a two year old won't eat the noodles. I asked if they could put less salt or light even since everything is made to order . and she said no, nothing can be altered or modified . I was shocked for an $18 dish spending close to $80 for four people I think is a bit overpriced for the quality service and portion . I have visited this establishment twice in 2 weeks and I am impressed with the quick service. You will be getting your drink within 5 minutes of ordering. The girls employed there are also very pleasant. Both the strawberry matcha and the brown sugar matcha are pretty darn good! Okay first of all, the decorations are absolutely adorable. Second of all, the drinks and food are fantastic. Me and my gf come here all the time when we want boba, and we usually get an order or two of the crab Rangoons as well, both are delicious. The workers are always very polite and quick with everything, 100% recommend. Recently went and got the valentine's day drinks (got cute matching keychains for it too). One of them was like a really rich chocolate milk flavor and it went really well with the strawberry jelly. The other was like lychee soda and lemonade I think ? I had their fruit drink, they allow you to do two flavors to mix with no extra charge. I ordered half kumquat and half mango with no boba. The tea flavors of the drink are pretty strong, I wish I got more of the fruity flavors from the mango and kumquat - they seemed very light. Cool boba shop in Brandon off SR-60 not far from the Brandon Mall and I-75 exit. It's a good shop to catch-up with a friend with plenty of seating and couches. They have Vietnamese food and as far as drinks go they have the brown sugar boba, milk tea, fruit tea, and more. Prices are standard for a boba shop nowadays. You'll spend $5-8 for a drink. Boba is extra, but should be included in that for the price in my opinion. Drinks are on the sweeter side so I recommend asking for less sugar if you don't like sweet. There's free wifi, tables, couches, authentic asian treats at the register, plenty photo opps, and a lovely menu. It is interesting they carry a taro flavor boba. I like the ideal of showing the boba in the jug, the customers can have clear choices. They carry some interesting boba other than taro boba, such as matcha boba, aloe Vera. It is an A grade for boba choices. I also got Annie Favorite Cooling Tea. This tea has many item inside with one price. I recommend this drink. For the food, we got the fried teriyaki chicken wings. It is delicious with the sauce. I also got the shrimp noodle and noodle bowl. The shrimp noodle is lo mein and grilled shrimp. Shrimp is big. The noodle bowl includes the shrimp and grilled pork. It is a good dish. You know that feeling you have right after a massage-or when you smell Christmas cookies baking? Yeah, that's what Annie's is like. I stopped in early on a Saturday afternoon and oh-it was like stepping into a spa. The decor, the music, the staff-all were soothing and calm and lovely. I planned to just order and go, but it was too cute and happy to leave. I had to stay and sip my hot ginger tea latte right then and there. The tea, btw-absolutely divine. This is a good place for tea. I went on a rainy Saturday afternoon, and I was the only customer. I ordered a salted cheese black milk tea with grass jelly, 50% sweet. It was a little too sweet, but it was certainly tasty. My husband had a strawberry milk tea with popping boba, and he thought it was good. So there is a reason why this place has really high reviews. Their teas are really good. To add to this, the staff is so extremely friendly. Annie Tea House is kind of in an odd shopping center. They are sandwiched between a car/auto parts shop and a medium/high-end furniture store with a pizza restaurant at the end of the plaza. Also, if you drive too fast and miss one of the entrances you have to make 2 U-turns to get back on track on Highway 60. I came here after Yelp-stalking my Yelp friend Karen V's reviews. She kind of knows all the cool places and new places to eat in the area. So follow her...just sayin'. Anyway, I think I'm a regular customer now because the boba place I used to go to, Quickly Boba Tea, hasn't been walk-in for quite some time and they also don't have the avocado smoothie anymore. So I decided to try a new place and I'm glad I did. Don't get me wrong, Quickly Boba's teas are also spot on, but they may just be losing me in the tug-o-war to find the greatest boba tea place of all time! I have tried the taro smoothie with boba, taro coconut smoothie with boba, avocado smoothie with coconut jellies, matcha smoothie with matcha boba, avocado smoothie with boba, avocado smooth with boba and coconut jellies, warm ginger tea latte, iced ginger tea latte, pina colada smoothie with coconut jellies, passionfruit tea and more. I've also tried some of their hot items for a snack to go with my tea and everything is sooo good. My fav cold drinks are the avocado smoothie and the pina colada smoothie. My fav hot drink is the ginger tea latte. The smoothies are thick and not runny which I like because cold things don't stay cold, solid, or semi-solid long in the Florida heat. I can actually take my time sipping on the smoothies, although I don't since they're so good. Then it's all gone and I'm sad. I do think they keep their boba warmed so they don't get all hard like some places have. So you can actually chew them without breaking your teeth. I also think tapioca is gluten-free but don't quote me on that. The place is decorated kind of cute so you can hang out and lounge if you want or bring your computer and do some work. One note to the world is that if they are busy busy then sometimes it takes 20-30 minutes for the food to be completed because I think they only have one person making food. I kind of wish they had a bit more exposure like being able to be found on Grubhub or Ubereats or something so that people further away can experience their teas and food, but maybe they like it just the way it is. The ambiance inside is very inviting and there are different sitting areas for any group of people. From bar stools, to couches to regular chairs and tables. They had some Instagram-able decor and enough space between each table. I looked over the menu and saw you can mix two teas with no extra cost. I opted for the Make Your Own Fruit Tea option and got a Passionfruit Strawberry Tea with Matcha Boba. The tea itself was decent and I liked how there were floating pieces of fruit in my cup. The employee told me to not decrease the sweetness too much for the fruit tea otherwise it would lack flavor. So, I went with her suggestion and got it only slightly less sweet and it was perf! The only thing I was disappointed in was that the matcha boba was made of agar instead of tapioca so it didn't have chewy texture I was expecting like regular boba.
