We stopped by after dinner at another spot nearby, as we just wanted some more wine and conversation while I was in town to visit with a friend after separating from a larger group. We didn't indulge in any food here, but the menu offerings did look tasty. There are specials throughout the week, so be sure to check online to take advantage. My friend got a wine flight, with some helpful input from our server as to her preferences so he could steer her well. He was attentive and friendly, but also seemed to balance well the idea that we were there to enjoy some wine and talk because it had been a while since we had been able to see each other. Refreshed beverages were prompt after we asked, and we didn't need to say much about our water- he made sure that was full! I am so sad I didn't find out about this spot until it was time for me to leave!!! Really Zin? REALLY? I am like THEE wine girl! You pour it...I'm gonna sip it! There is nothing like a very well executed....locally owned wine bar! This is a great spot to entertain clients, girls night out, and date night! I've even been here solo and loved every minute. They have several specials throughout the week so I suggest checking online or giving them a call to see what tickles your fancy. They staff is very attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Which makes a huge difference when you're trying to enjoy wine. They have a decent wine list and offer several wine flights. Wine flights allow you to really hone in on what you like and also expand your palate without wasting a glass. Wednesday is usually a day where the flights are 15% off. The small plates offered were perfect. Of course we had to get a charcuterie board...like come on, it's only right. The board had a decent variety and the bruschetta was good as well. There are more small plates that sounded amazing that we never got a chance to try. Next time the sliders, crab cake, and duck tacos will be on my list. It is also good to note that the entree portions are rather small. They tend to stick to more European portions which is very on brand for a wine bar. So, if you know you (or your crew) have a ferocious appetite I would load up on those small plates before ordering dinner. As for me and mine, this is usually a first stop. Get some good wine and small plates then off to the next. Either way, Zin is definitely a place I would continue to frequent if I were still in Little Rock. Easily a local favorite! read more

The night I first went the kitchen's cooking equipment was out of order. The folks who own ZIN also own Sauced in the same building. To compensate, we were allowed to order from Sauced's menu and ZIN staff fetched and delivered the food. Talk about making lemonade The customer definitely comes first for these folks. Zin Wine bar is my go to place for everything from birthday dinners, studying, date night, and even family dinners! I've been coming here for several years now and the business has only gotten better. The atmosphere is exceptional and the service is even better. The service is nothing but friendly and personal, the staff there is very knowledgeable about the wines and have put me on to a new favorite wine numerous times. Dinner last night at ZIN was phenomenal! Zin Wine bar is way more than just a wine bar, it is a really good restaurant as well. The food menu is limited, but that's intentional as the items on the menu are top notch. The Gouda dip was a great appetizer. My main course was the Short Ribs with glazed carrots and they are hands down best in Little Rock. Wine pairings and tastings at the recommendation of Bill were on point. Bananas Foster for dessert Flambé table side was a very fun presentation and tasted amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! read more

My friends and I made reservations for 6pm on 1/20/23 for a party of 8 for a birthday dinner. The man we spoke to on the phone confirmed the reservations for us. We later called back to change the reservation to 6:30pm, which we were told would not be a problem and there were no large parties on the books. When we arrived for our reservation, there was a sign on the door saying "Closed for a Private Party". I went in to see if maybe there was a mistake, and when I spoke to the woman at the bar she told me she didn't know who made the reservation but they were closed for a private party. She refused to look into the situation, and, instead, kept repeating they were closed for a private party. Not only was she just plain rude, but she refused to even apologize for the inconvenience. I'm not sure what their system for reservations is but I do not believe that the private party (which appeared to be a rehearsal dinner) was booked 3 days before our reservation. I would have been satisfied if she would have even bothered to look into the situation or offered an apology instead of being rude and acting like I was inconveniencing her night. I was so excited to find out that Zin was opening near my house. I'm thrilled that so many cool things are happening in this part of town, and I like to support local businesses. But in a word: the service SUCKS. When I go to a wine bar to meet friends, I don't want to have to walk to the bar to order another drink or ask for a menu. I would like my water glass to be filled more than once. I've been two times, and it has been the same both times. Part of the problem seems to be that there is not a dedicated server for the floor. All the action seems to be going on at the bar. But the bartender shouldn't be the server. Hire a server, knowing that there will be nights when there is a small crowd. But there will be a non-existent crowd if the service remains the same. read more
