Let me begin by saying my son and I had a wonderful experience here. Our server Ronan was amazing. Ronan was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us excellent advice on what to order. I believe that our visit would not have been quite the same without Ronan. The food was great. I ordered the shepherds pie and my son ordered the bangers and mash. Both dishes were excellent. I highly recommend the bangers and mash because the potatoes and the gravy are amazing! I could literally come here and order just the potatoes and mushroom gravy and be happy! Both meals came with a hearty piece of bread as well. For beverages I chose a Bailey's coffee and my son ordered a hot cider. We both enjoyed our drinks which made excellent compliments to our food. Parking was a little bit difficult, but the overall experience made it worth the extra effort in parking. We will definitely be back again to try something new if I can get past ordering those mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy that is. The food was brought to us by Delana, who was also very nice, but Ronan followed up with us several times during and after we finished our meal. The service was excellent. Checked out our fave Irish pub for their Wednesday lunch special (meatloaf) and were not disappointed! Typically comes with macaroni and cheese, cob corn, and green beans; we subbed the corn for a double helping of better than typical mac, and the beans were extremely well seasoned (pork present, not vegetarian). We added a cup of potato soup (soup of our people), fully dressed, which was creamy and delicious and had two chunks of bread for dipping. The meatloaf was well-textured, well-sauced, and piping hot. Swoon and drool! Paired with two pints of draft Guinness, whilst seated on the stage corner of the pub, we had excellent people viewing and a lovely waitress to complete the wonderful Wednesday outing. Boyfriend and I were visiting Little Rock for our 4 year anniversary and were looking for a late night meal when we discovered Dugan's Pub. They were running a deal on Busch Light, but ran out of bottles by the second beer. Took a bit for us to get our drinks and the food took quite a while as well for the quality. House salad was honestly the best thing out of our whole order. The bread & butter was ice cold and had little to no flavoring. The menu said you could substitute fries for your side free of charge which was extremely misleading since our waitress said it was an up-charge. Regardless, the fries were soggy, flavorless, and room temperature. Shepherds Pie was cold in the center and sitting in a pool of greasy sauce, and the sad slice of American cheese on top didn't do it any favors. This spot was recommended by a coworker who had been here before, and it was a great recommendation. I'm really not usually a fan of Irish pubs -- I don't generally like Irish beer. However, they had a local seasonal stout on top that was absolutely fantastic. A coworker asked our server to bring their favorite stout and while I can't remember what it was, it hit the spot completely. We all agreed it was fantastic. While we were driving to Dugan's, I started taking a look at their menu online. I haven't had a ton of fresh veggies on the trip, so I really just wanted something like a giant hearty salad... ask and you shall receive, apparently! Right on their digital menu (they have physical menus at the restaurant) was an amazing looking green salad with a generous helping of steak. Naturally, I ordered the steak salad. It didn't come with a set dressing, so I opted for balsamic. I wasn't particularly wild about their balsamic dressing, but it wasn't bad (just not my favorite). I still ate every last possible ounce of the salad. The steak was really juicy and well (as in good) cooked. Salads don't usually fill me up, but this certainly did. My travel mate also enjoyed their food -- one ordered the pork chops and the other the grilled salmon. I would not recommend this establishment based on service and food. While staying in town nearby at a hotel I decided to have dinner and a couple drinks. I was told that there was a CO2 issue which prevented the ability from getting any draft beer or soft drinks. All of Ireland is wailing. That this place tries to pass itself off as an Irish pub is a travesty. Avoid it. We were staying a night at a close-by Hampton Inn, and Dugan's is one of the places within walking distance. Not the best neighborhood, but we ventured out and did the short walk. The whole reason we came here was my wife saw Irish stew on the menu and really wanted that. Oh boy. If we knew what was to come.... First off, the place is like a cross between a pub and a sports bar, with a large, semi-circle bar and big, padded chairs. Not really what I think of as "pub", but whatever. The main feature of the place, though, is the World's Stickiest Floor. Seriously, this should be a Guinness World Record. I took a photo, but unfortunately you can't really get the glue-like intensity. Disgusting. Our server was nice, but clueless. Inattentive. We could see into the kitchen, and he really liked to hang out on his phone there. Had to flag him down or ask other servers multiple times. So, that Irish stew my wife so badly wanted. Cold. Not even tepid - flat out cold. Sent it back and it was returned clearly microwaved. Like someone forgot to plug in the pot they keep it in and it went cold. Terrible. I got the Anaheim Turkey, as it looked to me like a dish they might have a hard time screwing up. It was not that bad, so maybe that was the case, and a reason to keep Dugan's out of one star zone. Just arrived here for the first time! We were recommended to come here from our previous bar, the flying saucer. That place was SO amazing. We just knew this place had to be better. It wasn't. Stopped in for dinner this evening for the first time while in Little Rock. It was right around the corner from my hotel so I went with convenience and wasn't disappointed. I had a cup of the creamy potato soup and the BLT. I upgraded to brussel sprouts instead of fries. The peppered bacon on the blt was delicious and I appreciated there wasn't a 3 inch layer of lettuce on it like other restaurants. The brussel sprouts tasted great but they were drenched in the sauce. It was overwhelming and I didn't finish them all because of it. My mom had the burger and she enjoyed it along with the fries. Brooke was our server and she was extremely friendly and attentive. She refilled our drinks multiple times without us even having to ask. When the soup was a little late, she apologized for the delay. I appreciated her acknowledgement of the delay because when people don't say anything...it annoys me! The potatoes were cooked but not mushy. The Guinness was exactly the perfect paring and at a perfect temperature. There are plenty of options on the menu beyond a traditional pub menu. If you are up late & hungry, this is definitely the spot. I ordered beer battered and fried mushrooms, some Brussel sprouts, and a veggie burger. The veggie black bean burger with the horseradish sauce ended up being my favorite thing of the three things we ordered that night. The fries that came with it were also pretty good. So I'd say the food and drinks here are actually decent. Shoutout to the chef and bartender. The bartender's service was solid ASF. I was in the mood for a mixed rum drink and she whipped me up a very yummy rum punch. She was knowledgeable, quick, and thorough. All in all, though, I had a difficult time getting over the smell and the grime of the place. The bar area was definitely visibly filthy. And it had the smell of a bar that's never truly been cleaned. A lot of the tables further away from the bar were also dirty. Although the food is good, ideally, this isn't a good atmosphere for eating at all!! If you eat here, get your food to go!! I get that it was late but I'm gonna try to avoid wanting to eat that late again just so I don't have to end up trying with all my might to keep my food down bc it smells like vomit. read more

I was craving a good burger and wanted to try something new. I've been to Dugan's many times since they first opened, but had never tried the burger. It was pretty good and I'm glad of it because well.. burger, fries and a coke was $27 w/tip. But I guess that is on par with other restaurants 'these days', it's crazy. The hand cut fries were pretty good but a bit undercooked. The portion size is above average. I'm a small eater and this was 2 meals for me (gotta love that air fryer for leftovers!). The reason I've rated 4 and not 5 stairs is cleanliness. The windows were filthy (inside yes) and the malt vinegar on the table was so gross looking, it had greasy finger prints on it and no label. Some of the chairs and stools really need to be recovered. That torn vinyl is rough on clothes (snags them up) and even rougher on bare skin if you're wearing a skirt or shorts. Please put a little time and money into cleaning it up a bit. I get the typical 'pub vibe' but we can still do that with comfy seats and a clean atmosphere. read more

This place is a must stop if you are traveling through Little Rock! The servers are amazing and it's a very chilled out laid back environment. Classic Irish pub with traditional Irish food and drinks. I had an incredible steak sandwich and Irish mule in addition to trying their world famous mozzarella sticks. How does this only have 3.5 stars? It was fantastic! We got the fried mozzarella which were the fattest mozzarella sticks I have ever eaten. The breading was delicious and crispy. So I really liked this place. I stopped in on my way home on a Saturday night. Street parking or the lot a couple blocks away. I selected this place for two reasons. I wanted a couple good brews and some deep fried mushrooms. The shrooms were pretty big and tasty . I asked for both ranch and a buffalo sauce. They don't have buffalo sauce here but did have a fairly tasty hot sauce that did the trick. Not the best, but definitely not bad! I wanted a brown ale to go with my shrooms and tried a couple samples. At the advice of the bartender, I settled on a Lazy Magnolia. It was a good ale, but didn't quite do it for me. I ended up grabbing a Newcastle on the next round Everyone I chatted with here were great. In my book, there's nothing better than mixing up a great conversation with a stranger at the bar over a few drinks. We came here on Saturday at about 2pm for lunch since we were staying a hotel nearby and it was a close walk. The service was terrible! After standing at the front for a few minutes, not sure if it was seat yourself or not.. a lady finally walked by and said "sit wherever you want". After nearly 10 minutes of sitting "wherever we want", we finally were helped by a man who wasn't friendly, but not rude. Eventually the food came out, which was great. I have zero complaints about the food. I had a Ceasar salad, potato soup and i tried some of the cracker and meat board which was good. My little one had some leftovers and wanted to take them back to the hotel, so I asked for a to go box (simple enough.. right?). The restaurant was not busy what so ever, but he never brought the box out. We ended up just leaving without it because I wasn't waiting more than 10 minutes for a to go box for my daughters mac and cheese. Later that night, my parents went back there for dinner. The service was much better in the evening and food was still great. I was brought back an order of fried jalapenos and one of the mozzarella sticks. Both were great, and I'd definitely recommend those. My parents had zero complaints. 5 stars for the food.. for sure! However, here's where the 2 stars come from (and they're lucky to get that to be honest). My moms card was charged NUMEROUS times all for different amounts, $70 and some change, $25, $30, etc. None of them being the total of her bill and a tip or anything like that. So while they had her debit card to run it for the check.. they were running it for other peoples checks while they were at it... The shadiness is unreal, so while yes.. the food is good.. pay CASH or don't come at all because they'll drain your account while they're at it. read more
