Manager is extremely rude, everything is an argument. Instead of fixing a mistake on a half and half order he decided to argue with me about it, even after i returned the pizza to the restaurant, i didn't want a refund just a remake! The pepperoni was burnt and the service was horrible. When i asked the employees if this was something they'd eat no one had an answer because they know the pizza looked a hot mess. This is normally one of our favorites but i will not be revisiting this location ever again and i will be letting others know as well. And to the manager who was at this location 1/30/2026 pls start thinking before you speak to customers, it will help your business!!! read more

The inside looks upscale and pretty. I had the spaghetti and meat sauce and it was brought out to me in a to go container with plastic fork. I was dining in and had expected proper setup for such a beautiful dining room. The dish was not great by any means but my grandchildren would have loved it. The sauce just tasted like it came out of a can. The young lady at the counter was very nice and about the only thing that was good. Drinks are bottled or cans. It was just disappointing. We had high hopes for this place. When trying to order, the music was so loud they didn't ring us up for most of what we wanted. Our salads were swimming in bowls of water. The TV was playing a violent movie. We only had paper plates when dining in. The high price for food was not worth it. There is no soda machine, and water is only bottled. They also sell pizza, but don't have a license to sell alcohol. I never write bad reviews, but only when a place is seriously lacking. Side note, the place looked really nice, and modern. read more

My wife and I have been visiting new pizza joints around N Dallas/Richardson and we found Zio Al's. As my wife stated it is so far the best we have had. We ordered the thick crust with sausage and mushrooms and it was delicious and chewy. Finally a pizza without all the toppings not clumped in the middle of the pizza. There was a great garlic taste to the pizza so we didn't need to add anything but red pepper flakes. Give this place a shot as the restaurant was empty. read more

I was disappointed. On December 1, 2024 I ordered 2 pizzas to handle dinner while driving home from Six Flags. The pizzas arrived cold (room temperature at best). I called in again and the person who took the order, a man whose name rhymes with "Drew", answered and promised me a call from the manager and a likely refund. I gave it the week and have received no call nor a refund. Zio Al's contracts the delivery to DD/UE or similar. I am a 1.6 mile/4 minute drive from the location, so either the pizza sat while waiting for the driver, or the driver managed to cool the pizza while bringing it over. The driver put the pizza on the porch and left hurriedly: all seen on the ring camera/I ran out to give him a tip but he'd already driven away. I get it. Things happen. If a customer calls with an issue, then it should be handled while on the phone (He could have said: "Sometimes food cools off. Live with it.", or offered me a coupon.), or the promised call back has to materialize. read more

We ordered from the far north Dallas store last night and the hostess accidentally spelled my name wrong(simple mistake) well my hubs went to pick it up and it being under the wrong name was told it was not there it was at a different store so he went to the plano store and it wasn't there either he was not treated so nice there , well I got on the phone with north Dallas location and the nice manager found my order and went out of her way to deliver it to me even though we ate a little late the food was amazing well worth the wait and thank you for the top notch customer service! read more

I'm a night owl and I love that this place closes late at 3 am I believe. Came to grab a pizza after a night out drinking and this pizza HIT. Amazing taste, good crust, etc. 3 minutes from my house, and good staff. Suggest ordering ahead online from your phone because it would take like 15-20 minutes to receive it so order ahead and drive there and pick up. Won't be disappointed read more

First to review! Woo Hoo!! Had a great meal here the other night. We ordered a pepperoni and pineapple pie and an order of cheesy bread. Both were outstanding. The crust was perfect and the sauce had a little kick to it. The proprietor Omar and his female partner were very friendly and had lots of suggestions for next time (cheesesteaks and calzones, anyone?) Best of all, this place is open until 3am! That means when us New Yorkers are driving around at 2am and really don't want to go to McDs or iHop, we have an awesome place we can go for real food. We will be back! read more

The chicken supreme pizza tasted bland and needed salt, not to mention they totally skimped on chicken pieces. Sauce was disproportionate to the base in quantity. Garlic bread tasted good but looked like a bread roll. Service was moderately paced but felt lacking - people at the counter barely acknowledged us and were unhelpful. This was my first time at Zio Al's. I ordered it to go, and got my boyfriend the chicken Alfredo. It was really good and flavorful. I got myself the chicken parm sandwich and it was amazing!!!!! The mozzarella sticks are 1/10 the breaded part comes completely off and they give you this as a marinara sauce. We paid 40$ for one pizza and mozzarella sticks and 3 drinks.
