Haven't been since shortly after they opened. I can't say why, other than we don't eat much pizza for health reason. Seriously, I severely limit our pizza intake, except when we are in Italy. And a big part of that is the pizza dough is generally unhealthy due to the flour used here in the USA. That said... She had a craving pot a Neapolitan style pizza and Spin! Came up on Yelp. So did a lot of other places that I don't really consider to be true Neapolitan style, but Spin! Had added something since the last time I was there: Detroit Style. I love that style, even though it doesn't love me. Sacrifices sometimes have to be made. AND... the tipping point is they have Mini Mia meals- a personal pizza and salad or soup, and we could do 1 Neo and one Detroit. I could get salad with my Detroit and she could have soup with her neo/thin crust pizza. AND... cauliflower crust is available! (We didn't option for cauliflower crust, but it is available). The pizzas, as well as the salad and the soup were all delicious! I could use more black olive in the Greek Salad, but I'll request that next time. And ice cold Peroni was split between us and we're were very satisfied with the whole meal. Ordering was cheerful and helpful. Price was reasonable. It's not fast food prices, but I felt worth paying for the quality and variety we had. I LOVE the fact they are bussing the table as plates were finished with. I absolutely hate a table full of dirty empty plates. Zero issues here. And an extra star for the fact they did in in a very polite, non-intrusive way. Ambiance is fine. Nothing special but a step up from most strip center pizza joints. Nice padded booths and half booths, sturdy wood chairs, and not one single industrial metal shop chair in sight. I will leave a restaurant if that is all they have- chairs that look like they came from wood shop class in 8th grade. read more

We stopped by SPIN! Pizza in with a large group. There was a very short line to order, and the cashier was super friendly and happily answered all of our questions. The dining area was well-kept, with clean tables that comfortably accommodated our group. My small pizza came out hot and freshly made in about 15 minutes, with the perfect amount of sauce! The only downside was the cookie dough gelato. While the flavor was good, the texture was way off. It was grainy almost like large pieces of sand. It felt like maybe it had melted and been refrozen. Service was good on this visit. The staff were friendly and helpful. Ambiance was good the yummy smell of PIZZA. The restaurant was clean and cozy as I sat in my preferred booth. My blood orange sangria always hits the spot. It's refreshing and delicious. Detroit style pizza was good. I love the crunchy burnt ends. Cheese and pepperoni goodness. Italian Sub, Sonoma Salad and Tomato Basil Soup hit the spot. Only slight negative was my sandwich bread was toasted a little too hard this visit. We haven't been since January but we moved out of the area. We were back in Richardson on a Saturday night with FIFA in town so we weren't sure if it would be crazy busy. It wasn't and was just a normal night. Our waiter was missing the mark BUT there was another young lady (didn't get her name) who noticed and let the manager know. We never had to say a word! I wish I knew her name to call her out! The only reason we tipped was because she watched over us so obviously it was an issue with our waiter and she knew! We are fans of Spin! Based on previous experiences we know to avoid the round wood fire pizza (they tend to scorch them here) and stick with Detroit style which they do pretty well. Their Mini Mia lunches really are a good portion and idea. I get Sonoma salad - my absolute favorite salad in town! And a Detroit mini. So good and caramalized. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you after the pizza is made to order. They have a gelato bar too! The interior is very pretty and the patio is great for beautiful Texas days. I was excited to try Spin! Pizza though left feeling rather let down. I sampled their mini mia BBQ chicken pizza on a cauliflower crust. I also ordered a single Caesar salad. While everything of substance was presented quite well, the flavors just didn't quite hit on the mark for me. The pizza was fairly decent but lacked that bold, satisfying taste I was expecting, and the Caesar salad was quite of standard, needing more salad dressing. That said, the place in itself is quite great, clean, modern, along with in a convenient location. I surely believed the treatment was rather kind and mindful. I have ate a lot of pizza in my life, so when I say this was some of the best pizza I have ever had, that is saying a lot. Their pizza was perfection. I loved the crispy buttery delicious crust a lot but the toppings were plentiful and flavorful as well. There were so mnay different options to choose from. The salads were delicious as well and they had an awesome lunch special. They have delicious beers on tap as well. My husband and I loved it so much, we went back the next night to have more. We were visiting in the area and probably won't be back for awhile but man, we both talk about how good this pizza was, on repeat. Easy parking, reasonable prices, decent portions, excellent customer service, and efficient service. What's not to love??? read more

Oh my gosh, this place is everything super super love it! I went in and ordered their pizza and got it fully loaded with everything minus the olives came out absolutely perfect not to mention that they have amazing salads here which I ordered a cup salad, which was absolutely perfect before eating my pizza. They also have a cool area where you can watch the pizzas being made in their wood fire oven and see all the excitement for when it comes out! Not to mention if you have a sweet tooth, they have an incredible selection of ice cream to choose from up at front, which I could not help myself from getting a few different flavors! I've been in the area several times, but didn't notice the pizza place. Now to be fair, I am not a huge pizza person (I get full too quick, ha) but still, I am usually aware of my surroundings. Yelp had an elite event and I was happy to be an attendee. I ordered a Detroit style meat lovers pan (thick crust is where it's at) and a Caesar salad. I also got the cheesy breadsticks just because I was feeling extra hungry and knew I'd have to share. Now, I'm usually a 1-2 topping girl, but this meat lovers pizza was amazing! Not overly greasy, perfect amount of meat and sauce, and just wow. The cheesy bread looked like sub sandwich bread (think hoagie roll, I guess) and it was good too. Maybe their sauce has a little bit of sugar in it (ha, sugar girl here) because all the food was hitting just right! I didn't get a chance to eat the Ceasar so I cannot state how that tasted, but everything else was really good. Now that I know it's in the area, I'd stop in for some grub! read more

This place is a solid lunch spot. In and out in 30 minutes. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We ordered at the counter and were handed our table number. The drinks came quickly and so did the food. The atmosphere is pretty typical of a fast casual. The food is fine. I'm a bit of a pizza snob so I'm not starring this review based on it. It was a 6.8 out of ten. A little bit dense and heavy. The sauce didn't have much going on. It lacked a freshness, not from the preparation, it was crisp and hot. The ingredients seemed like they just opened a bag of something and threw it together. I didn't come to be blown away by delicious za. I came for a quick lunch to hit the spot on a work day. It delivered on that. The salad was under dressed, but nice and fresh otherwise. In short, come hungry and leave fulfilled. They won't waste your time if you have a rigid lunch break. This was an extreme disappointment since the pizzas actually tasted really good besides the burnt crusts and bottoms. Maybe it was a one off, but I'm disappointment that an established restaurant would give us blatantly burnt pizzas. We will probably stay away from this place for a while. Second time at Spin Pizza. I like the app that makes it easy to order in advance. But Spin Pizza is a weird sit down setting? It doesn't feel like true fast casual because there seems to be servers coming around and filling drinks etc. I wouldn't feel comfortable ordering something for takeout / in advance and eating it there... I've done it once, but it feels weird. I've only tried the mini mias which is a personal pizza and a salad (~$12), which is a good deal for the amount of food. For pizzas, I've tried the chicken and goat cheese and BBQ chicken. Both of which are good. For salads, I've tried the BLT (would not order again. The default dressing is ranch and forgot to ask for something else) and 8 color (I liked this). I've tried the marinara and flatbread ($6). They give you A LOT of marinara sauce vs flatbread. For the price, I'd pass on it. Not to say that it's bad, but I feel the bread portion is small. I would come back again for a quick bite. read more

I actually really liked this place, which was a pleasant surprise. I'm a bit of a pizza snob, so I honestly wasn't expecting to. I ordered the meal that comes with a mini pizza and a salad. Both were exactly what I was hoping for. I opted for the Margherita pizza and the Very Berry salad. The pizza crust and sauce were fresh and seasoned perfectly. My salad was honestly one of the best I've ever had. All of the ingredients were delicious and the dressing was creamy. It balanced the flavors out perfectly and I'm already craving it again. Spin makes some my favorite pizza. I just love it! So I order on Tuesdays regularly for BOGO special--cheese and pepperoni (and the ever-important white pizza for my pickiest child). Anyway I usually have my food delivered via Uber Eats. This week Uber screwed up and the driver left my 2 cheese pizzas at the store. The Uber support was terrible. The worst. However, I cannot stress how pleasant and helpful the Spin staff was to get the issue resolved. They even remade the original pizzas so our new ones we had to pick up ourselves were hot and fresh. Of course if Uber screws up, the restaurant has no control over the customer support. But Spin staff really helped us out and were so nice. I am a customer for life and recommend them to anyone. Between the six of us, we had the club sandwich, which is the best club sandwich I have ever eaten, the pizza and salad combos, always wonderful,the Greek salad, which is always fresh and delicious, and it never changes. My guest & I came within 20 minutes of close (straight from airport)... yet the young men running the store last night not only graciously services us Pizza...they insisted on us sitting & enjoying gelato too. Everything was clean & well stocked & everyone was as attentive even when they were in the midst of starting closing procedures. I couldn't have been more impressed. This was my second time getting food from here. The first time we had some kinks and the food didn't quite taste as fresh and my pizza box was open. However, completely different experience the second around. I ordered ahead for take out and the person was super friendly. I ordered a mini mia with veggie pizza but added chicken and Sonoma salad. The salad was one of the best salads I've had in a while. The pizza also was delicious this time around! Tasted fresh and balanced with the right amount of toppings.
