My husband and I ordered medium Italian sausage well done (we like crisp crust). They did indeed blacken the crust, yet the toppings (sauce/cheese/sausage) could only be described as "anemic looking". Something must be wrong with the oven. The manager, Josh, was very nice and sincerely wanted another chance to make me happy with Russo pizza. So I requested a single slice of Hawaiian. It was much better than the 1st pizza. 2.) Came with a group of colleagues after a meeting and we were all impressed. Staff was friendly and served us quickly. They have lunch specials that are filling, plus I had leftovers. Went here on a Saturday night and disappointed with the service and food. They were short staffed I'm sure like everyone but it shouldn't take 15 mins for someone to address us for the first time at our table when there's people standing around behind the counter waiting on the phone to ring or someone to walk in and grab a to go order... we almost walked out. We ordered one large pizza and a side salad and getting that delivered was $60 with tip. Were that kind of money, you had better have actually good pizza. What we got was a salad made of some iceberg lettuce with literally one tomato and one cucumber. The pizza itself was soggy. The crust was really really bland and the toppings weren't that great either. We got half Canadian bacon and pineapple and half pepperoni, neither side was very good. Today for lunch I ordered a slice of pizza - it appeared to be ceramic replica of slice, I assume several days old and was microwaved in a failed effort to bring it back to life. I also ordered a chicken parm sandwich which had cheese and Sauce and 2 bites of chicken (less then ounce). Since I had taken the order to go, I was forced to throw it out. I then went to grimaldi's pizza for dinner. The difference was night and day, the quality is always 100%. I called for a refund and they offered 20% off next time. The garlic knots aren't knots at all, more like weirdly shaped sticks, but they tasted good and the marinara they are served with is warm. The pizza was delicious and they do different combinations of toppings than other pizza places. The pizza was equally as good the next day. They gave us someone else's bill, which we didn't catch and paid for. It was caught right before we left and fixed by a manager. I would come back for the pizza, but it's a little pricy. We ordered delivery from Russo's last night. The pizza arrived borderline cold, but I won't necessarily hold that against the restaurant since it was fulfilled through GrubHub. The build your own pizza was missing one of two ingredients we paid for. When there's only two ingredients it's quite disappointing when one is completely missed. The pepperoni pizza as we received it was just okay. It was comparable to just about any average pizza place around or generic bar pizza. The Buffalo chicken pizza was alright, but a little heavy and soggy. Both pizzas were a little more doughy than I would expect from this style of pizza. With the missing topping and the overall "meh" quality of both pizzas, I was originally at a 2 star rating, but the saving grace was that both pizzas were way better cold the next day. The leftover factor bumped it back up to 3 stars. If it was a little thinner, less soggy, and the correct toppings were included, it could be a 4 star, but it wasn't there for us. read more

I showed up to this location tonight at 9:15 only to be met at the door by the manager giving a cut throat sign to me that they are closed (granted customers were inside eating). I told him online it says 10pm on Sunday and the door as well. In a very nonchalant manner he told me that's just the way it is and he has been there a year (not sure what that matters). He gave an excuse that they are not cooperate owned, so he blamed the owner on this. After a year this should have been changed to customer's convenience. Our order : 1) started with two glasses of Chianti - 7$ each and good wine, nice glassware too which never hurts! 2) caprese salad to start was a great portion size - very fresh, we split 3) split the shrimp scampi and fig&proscuitto pizza for entrees. Been wanting to try this spot for awhile and it was well worth the wait! We ended up getting takeout and it was an amazing meal from start to finish.  For four (hungry) people - we ordered the garlic knots and meatballs for appetizers, pasta trio entree, and two of the pizzas (truffle + mushroom and one we made our own).  The pasta trio included the lasagna, fettuccine alfredo and gnocchi with pesto - the perfect way to sample a bit of everything!   As someone who lives in NYC, I can honestly say this is one of the best pizza places I've been to in DFW and reminds me of being back in the city.  Highly recommend and we can't wait to go back to get the full dining experience in person!! read more
