Hiking The Narrows? Stop here first. Staff was great Kevin's orientation chat was thorough and he help us pick the right gear. We decided to do the full bib and shoes. The bibs are like footsie PJs and have a neoprene(I think) built in sock. THIS WAS THE BEST DECISION. We hiked for 8 miles in the Narrows and were so comfortable and most importantly dry! Some people we spoke with had bibs without the socks and their feet were wet. This was the best $65 dollars you can spend. We were not cold and we could take the whole experience and surroundings in. Great service, walked in for narrows gear rental for the family, easy process, picked up in the morning and all the gear worked really well for the narrows. The bibs and boots kept us dry and walking sticks were perfect. They do not have storage for your shoes if you rent so make sure you have a place to store your belongings. Found a recommendation to this place on Tiktok and it didn't disappoint! It was our first visit to Zion so we didn't know much about the Narrows and their employees were extremely helpful with explaining the hike and giving tips and advice. We rented the bib package and a few water backpacks. They give you a little spiel about the hike and what to expect, things to be mindful of and the things you're going to see. The only minor complaint I do have is my boyfriend still got a little wet through his suit. The water never went above the bib but there were several spots on his socks, pants and his sweatshirt that had water on them. However he was never soaked, just damp. And when we notified the employee when returning our suits she made sure to mark his for inspection. read more

My husband and I were staying at an air b&b in Virgin. Our hosts let us know that the e-bikes we were to rent from them, had been damaged in a recent storm. We received the news quite late in the evening the day before we were to ride and I was worried our plans were ruined . Zion Guru was recommended by our hosts as a solution to the unfortunate news. Amazing! Hassle-free service. Very accomadating to change of plans (We changed our booking twice, both within few hours of notice) I know some people hike the narrows with regular shoes, but i am sure it is 10x easier if you rented the shoe package. Plenty of shoe and sock sizes to choose from, they also have an option for you to buy some retired water hiking shoe as well as brand new ones. The orientation for the hike was also very informative. We also rented bikes which are, i believe, reasonably priced (they are not cheap though) my wife, and my son, rented a regular e-bike but i rented a wagon bike because my daughter couldnt bike. We had an amazing day exploring the park, which im sure we wouldnt be able if we rode the shuttle. Returning both the shoes and bike were also hassle-free Plus, i actually chose Zion Guru because they over other outfitters because of their prompt response to my querries even after operating hours. read more

The Best! Ziron Guru is is perfectly situated in Springdale right before you head into the park and they can help you plan and outfit all your adventures. We walked in at the start of our week and spoke with Keegan. We told him we were interested in a big hike, biking, hiking the Narrows, and then a day canyoneering or UTV'ing. He helped map out the week for us in terms of days we need a FULL day, day we needed to wait for a permit, showed us a video on canyoneering, etc. He got our schedule all set and go us the dry suits for the Narrows etc. He also wrote down a list of stops for us on our biking day so we could get some hikes in as well. Our group hiked The Narrows and canyoneered mountains in the park. The guides that accompanied us through the narrows were not only professional and safety conscious, they provided historical facts about The Narrows and how they came to be. The geological events that carved and colored the canyon were explained in great detail. The guides moved at our groups pace without trying to rush us along. Great experience. When we did the mountain phase of our trip Zion Guru excelled again. Prior to starting out our hike, our gear was passed around put on and a thorough safety brief and gear safety check was done. My wife and I took two guided tours in Zion Park. Our guide was James. James was very knowledgeable about the park. We learned much more than we would have without using a guide. We appreciated the level of detail James provided. We're not experienced hikers so we needed some grace from James not to push us too hard or too fast. He had tremendous patience and we felt that the level of challenge was just right. It was obvious he can keep up with the most fit hikers as well, and anyone in between. We scheduled a 4 hour canyoneering trip (hiking and repelling). Meg was our guide and picked us up in town promptly at our scheduled time. Meg was obviously well trained and provided the proper equipment for a perfect family event with two teenagers. We visited Lambs Knoll and hiked up to the top. Three of us women friends booked a 1/2 day guided tour at Zion. We met with our guide, Shawnie Kay, and decided on the Angel's Landing hike, (just up to Scout Lookout), and had a great experience. Our guide was very experienced with taking groups, well prepared and we felt in capable hands with her. She was super friendly and knew a lot about the wildlife in the area and we enjoyed that insight. We especially appreciated her intuition of when to stop for little rests or to take a photo, allowing us to catch our breath. This really helped us pace the steep incline, and allowed us to enjoy much more. After that hike, we had a little more time, and she suggested taking us to Weeping Rock, which was a delightful way to end our time. For a 1/2 day booking, we really felt like we got so much.
