Good: Great staff. Clean, modern facilities. Aircraft in excellent shape. Alec the pilot was a good tour guide and kept the aircraft very stable during the flight. And if you've never flown in a helicopter before, kind of a neat thing to do. Not so good: You don't fly over Zion's Park. You fly to one side and see parts of it like Temple East and West, but that's about all. They advertise that you also see Kolob Canyon. You don't. Also, for those up in years, it's hard getting into the aircraft - the staff should think about a footstool as an aid. The ugly: The aircraft sat 7. Three in front (including the pilot), four in back on a bench seat. The two in front had great, unobstructed views. Those of us squished like sardines in the back had limited views, mostly to one side of the aircraft. The media film shows three people getting into the aircraft with plenty of room, not the four squished sardines like us. For the price, I was hoping for more. Didn't get it. read more

For spending over $800 for the three of us on a 20 minute flight, we were sat in the back seat verses one of us in the front seat with an unobstructed view. Hello. We brought our family all the way from Montreal for this. So it will be a thorough review. The first recommendation I would make is to have an acoustical ceiling in the TV area because the ceiling height was too tall and the echo made it hard to hear the instructions. The couches were a beautiful leather though and I appreciated the pleasant Lysol (fresh) smell because it means they'd been cleaned perhaps with a spray. The keychain stand did turn a little bit too quickly though. Because my kids spun it faster than I wanted them to. They're young. They gave us hearing protection for our daughter (youngest, 14 months) but it was a little too patriotic for our tastes. I appreciated the extra radio headset for my son's (3 and 5) because they had fun yelling on them during the ride. The photographer had many tattoos but they didn't seem gang-affiliated they were cute and small like little ghosts and characters. But she perhaps should've increased her shutter speed because the photos were very saturated and overexposed. We're a family of-color (1/4 sub Saharan African) and it's important that my kids don't appear too Eurocentric in photos since they will be mailed to their grandparents. But for $39 the print was a good deal. The helicopter ride was fun. In fact, we felt very safe. We were assured it was just like landing a car. In fact not a single difference. So that made us feel much better. But when we got to the butte, they hadn't a single activity ready. There was a large flat space near the pad that would've been perfect for Corn Hole or Horseshoes. But they just expected us to wander around? For nearly $400 per participant we expected more. Maybe some refreshments for the children too? They offered us champagne but our kids would've appreciated butter beer or something similar. There was also a young couple who were in the same flight. I believe the young man should've worn a cologne because he made the cabin quite unpleasant. But we didn't say anything because he seemed likely in the military. I had a last minute trip to Utah from California and as I was driving towards Springdale, Utah I stumbled upon this helicopter spot so I pulled over to the side of the road and called and asked if they had any flight tours that can squeeze me in. They called me back and before you know they were able to accommodate me last minute! The place was super professional and nicely clean with two couches and a restrooms. The flight itself was gorgeous and spectacular also our tour pilot was professional and got us around safely and gave us some great information about what we were looking at! I booked a quick tour with Zion Helicopters for me and my wife for almost $250. We were halfway to its location when it called to cancel our tour. We were told that we were the only passengers booked and they wouldn't fly with fewer than four passengers. However, we were offered an "upgraded" tour three hours later for over $700! I said, "No, thank you!" When we got home, I noticed that Zion Helicopters had charged my credit card, even though it had canceled the tour. First, it tried to "bait and switch" us, then, it fraudulently charged us. This is an unethical business that's not worthy of your trust. read more

Good flight. Total lapse of health safety protocols. Caught COVID after this flight. The flight itself was good, but not exceptional. The pilot is very skilled (we have done several flights in the past) and the facility brand new. However, the experience was very much lessened by two passengers that were not wearing a mask. This is a tight enclosed space and masks should be mandatory or alternatively have distinct flights. It is basic common sense to wear them during COVID-19 but sadly in this case, the company is not enforcing it nor having protocols. Note that the flight is expensive compared to others covering the grand Canyon. In our case, the experience was ruined and it not possible to recommend it. There is more competition over the Grand Canyon with some companies enforcing safety measures. read more

Not worth the price. Very nice people who work there; absolutely no complaint. Our trip was slightly altered because of winds, which they did reduce the price by 10%, and that was appreciated. But, our $280+tax for 55 miles* is about 20mins...you just see a lot of desert, homes, and views you can see the same from below (and I felt I could see better from the ground). I've done a few helicopter tours and understand it is an expensive endeavor, but expectations did not meet with the cost. Save your money and do something else. read more

They told him they would not go out without 4 people so he paid for 4. last week they called him and told him to change the dates as the pilot did not want to work this weekend.
