We laid out on it at night and could not get over what a cool experience that alone was. Decor is top notch. The privacy of each unit was actually incredibly comfortable. The ac is fantastic. Getting to stargazer 2 was easy but possibly challenging for those with mobility challenges in regards to stairs. The jacuzzi and fire pit were so fun. Oh and the smores kit was such a nice touch as well as the welcome basket. We travel a lot and this place has it dialed in. Truly. Cold waters in the fridge upon arrival - ahhhh. So what would I add - a wellness spa for massages, on site morning yoga, sound bathing, etc.... I might add a very modern pool or one that incorporates nature. Lastly I'd recommend a type of gnat spray provided to guests. At dawn and sunset they are incredibly active. Service was mostly attentive and we were pleased with the transportation situation / golf cart rides to and from the courts and the main area. But if you appreciate high-altitude landscapes without the crowds, Brian Head is a hidden gem well worth the detour.

At 500 sq. ft, it feels spacious and serene, with a sitting area over looking the river below, blackout drapes, soaking tub, seperate walk-in shower, pillow-top mattress, workplace, and a 55" TV that my man really appreciates. But the best part is the large private balcony with seating and a direct view of The Watchman, one of Zion's most iconic peaks. Sunrises and sunsets from here are epic. Your stay includes, wifi, parking, year-round access to the outdoor pools and hot tubs, fire pits, fitness center, bathrobes and slippers, ac/heat, coffee maker, mini-fridge, and fresh coffee each morning near the lobby. On-site you'll also find a restaurant by the name of Anthera, and a spa, both of which I recommend. With 53 rooms, the property doesn't feel like just another standard hotel. What truly sets it apart though, is what lies just behind it, the lush riverside gardens. Ending your day sitting by the river, listening to the water move past as your thoughts quiet and your whole body softens. In the morning expect to see a lot of deer grazing in the grass areas. Come to find out Shem is German/Danish and it really showed in their design of the house. They allowed our pets. There are two resident cats who are adorable! Lisa and Shem were the best! They accommodated us with a world class shower amenities which was great! We were also able to use the patio area as well. They also had a garden and chicken coup. Very clean, very organized. They provided us with information of local restaurants and bistros. We will be back to Utah and stay at the Zion Cliff Lodge because we didn't see nearly enough of beautiful Utah.

There are only a handful of rooms to begin with and I love smaller properties with less people around. I also love historic places with tons of charm and a dash of quirkiness. Located less than a mile from the park! Also centrally located in town meaning you can literally walk to restaurants, shops, grocery store, and a great coffee shop in the morning. If you'd like a very hearty breakfast you may purchase a $5 voucher from Oscar's Cafe which is a really great deal. I can only hope that this place will be around until the end of time.

I had such high hopes for this b and b after reading the reviews and seeing photos online, but…read moreunfortunately it was a disappointment. It was not made clear during the reservation process that Room 3 does not have a standard shower. Instead, it has a claw-foot tub with a handheld shower head that must be held while showering, or the tub can be used for bathing. I believe this should be clearly disclosed so guests can make an informed decision before booking. The description of "European style shower" does not make it clear that you cannot take an actual shower in the room. We actually wound up getting passes for the Zion canyon hot springs just so we could shower during our stay. I understand this is a historic inn, but that does not eliminate the expectation of basic accommodations, such as a functioning toilet seat and an adequate supply of toilet paper. When we checked in, the toilet seat was cracked, and there was only a half roll of toilet paper provided. I messaged to ask where I could find more, and I was told someone would bring it that evening. By 9:00 p.m., nothing had arrived, so I followed up and asked whether I should go to a nearby store to purchase toilet paper and a replacement toilet seat, since the one in our room was broken. The owner/manager called me and said, "I didn't realize this was such a crisis for you." I found that response unnecessarily dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. He also told me the toilet seat would not be repaired during our stay, but then explained where I could find additional toilet paper myself. I was disappointed that this information was not provided when I first asked several hours earlier. The following day, the toilet seat was replaced. I guess although he didn't think it was a "crisis", he did realize having a functioning toilet seat was important. The inn has historic charm, but the property appears run down and in need of better maintenance. It is possible to preserve the character of a historic building while still keeping the infrastructure and basic amenities up to standard. This place has a great deal of potential, but in its current condition and with the current level of management, it does not meet the expectations of a 3-, 4-, or 5-star stay. The highlight of our visit was leaving the inn to eat breakfast at Oscar's. The food was delicious and this was the best part of our stay. There is no one consistently on site to assist with issues that arise during a stay, no traditional check-in or check-out process, and no one actively monitoring the property. Unfortunately, the combination of poor communication, dismissive management, and the lack of basic amenities resulted in a disappointing experience. I would not recommend staying here.
