Getting to stargazer 2 was easy but possibly challenging for those with mobility challenges in regards to stairs. The jacuzzi and fire pit were so fun. Oh and the smores kit was such a nice touch as well as the welcome basket. We travel a lot and this place has it dialed in. Truly. Cold waters in the fridge upon arrival - ahhhh. So what would I add - a wellness spa for massages, on site morning yoga, sound bathing, etc.... I might add a very modern pool or one that incorporates nature. Lastly I'd recommend a type of gnat spray provided to guests. At dawn and sunset they are incredibly active. The property is beautiful, service is wonderful, the rooms are lovely and well kept, and the river front rooms sit on a lawn that borders the river and every single day we had deer grazing there which was magical. The hotel has partnerships with many businesses in the local area where you get a discount for activities and food and such. We did the e-bikes through the company that's right there on site, we also took advantage of the discounts at the hot springs and the on site restaurant! Service was mostly attentive and we were pleased with the transportation situation / golf cart rides to and from the courts and the main area. We did not stay on property but will certainly consider doing so in the future. It sounds like they are in the process of expanding and adding even more amenities in the future. I hated Black Desert. I hate what they're doing to Ivins. It's vulgar and crass and not at all the reason I have been going out to the desert for a visit for the past 27 years. Black Desert is the place for golf bros, not for people like me. It's just like Palm Springs now. They had a singer at a bar in the lobby and the Golf Bro swagger is not for me. They're absolutely going to ruin Red Mountain, too. They're going to litter up Snow Canyon. I like the views best at Red Mountain. I have visited that spot many times over the past 27 years. I loved how it was walkable to the entrance of Snow Canyon and had unobstructed views of the red sand cliffs and a lava field with a trail. It was so peaceful sitting in my room with the door open, overlooking the lava field. Or lying in a hammock while watching the sunset colors on the red cliffs, or the moonrise, or a storm roll in. Losing my peaceful place to this overblown and overpriced "perfection is not for me." So, ultimately, they lost a customer. Also, it's the desert, and I just don't see how golf in the desert is sustainable with there already being a ton of golf. Everyone else can enjoy this, but I'm going to cry over the peace that was. 1 star because the staff were really nice and listened to me being upset about Red Mountain Resort being destroyed by the company they work for. But only 1 star because none of them have a deep understanding of what I loved about Red Mountain Resort with its funky older buildings, peace, and quiet. And there were ZERO other children. Every parental nerve was standing on high alert. Come to find out, only after seeing a flyer posted on site, Zion Ponderosa was hosting an adult's only event. NO WHERE ON THE WEBSITE was this listed. How dare you market yourself as a family friendly resort then host an event ON THE ENTIRE PREMISES intended ONLY for 18+ years. And because these were the only accommodations we made (we obviously didn't think we would need a plan B) every other accommodations were fully booked. Which meant, we drove all day for nothing. We planned and spent for nothing. Our kids missed their experience all because your resort mislead us by omitting very important details. So now we are driving home at night, past bedtime, disappointed, sad, and pretty livid. If you have an adults only event, POST IT ON YOUR WEBSITE, for those of us who are bringing minors. It's common sense and common courtesy.

At 500 sq. ft, it feels spacious and serene, with a sitting area over looking the river below, blackout drapes, soaking tub, seperate walk-in shower, pillow-top mattress, workplace, and a 55" TV that my man really appreciates. But the best part is the large private balcony with seating and a direct view of The Watchman, one of Zion's most iconic peaks. Sunrises and sunsets from here are epic. Your stay includes, wifi, parking, year-round access to the outdoor pools and hot tubs, fire pits, fitness center, bathrobes and slippers, ac/heat, coffee maker, mini-fridge, and fresh coffee each morning near the lobby. On-site you'll also find a restaurant by the name of Anthera, and a spa, both of which I recommend. With 53 rooms, the property doesn't feel like just another standard hotel. What truly sets it apart though, is what lies just behind it, the lush riverside gardens. Ending your day sitting by the river, listening to the water move past as your thoughts quiet and your whole body softens. In the morning expect to see a lot of deer grazing in the grass areas. It's genuinely spellbinding. If the restaurant on property doesn't interest you there are other walkable options nearby and this property does not allow pets. Breakfast is available for an additional fee.

They provided us with information of local restaurants and bistros. We will be back to Utah and stay at the Zion Cliff Lodge because we didn't see nearly enough of beautiful Utah.

Got our exercises with stairs and upper level patio. Great views. The BIG BONUS was we were able to charge our all electric car every night. It was not made clear during the reservation process that Room 3 does not have a standard shower. Instead, it has a claw-foot tub with a handheld shower head that must be held while showering, or the tub can be used for bathing. I believe this should be clearly disclosed so guests can make an informed decision before booking. The description of "European style shower" does not make it clear that you cannot take an actual shower in the room. We actually wound up getting passes for the Zion canyon hot springs just so we could shower during our stay. I understand this is a historic inn, but that does not eliminate the expectation of basic accommodations, such as a functioning toilet seat and an adequate supply of toilet paper. When we checked in, the toilet seat was cracked, and there was only a half roll of toilet paper provided. I messaged to ask where I could find more, and I was told someone would bring it that evening. By 9:00 p.m., nothing had arrived, so I followed up and asked whether I should go to a nearby store to purchase toilet paper and a replacement toilet seat, since the one in our room was broken. The owner/manager called me and said, "I didn't realize this was such a crisis for you." I found that response unnecessarily dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. He also told me the toilet seat would not be repaired during our stay, but then explained where I could find additional toilet paper myself. I was disappointed that this information was not provided when I first asked several hours earlier. The following day, the toilet seat was replaced. I guess although he didn't think it was a "crisis", he did realize having a functioning toilet seat was important. The inn has historic charm, but the property appears run down and in need of better maintenance. It is possible to preserve the character of a historic building while still keeping the infrastructure and basic amenities up to standard. This place has a great deal of potential, but in its current condition and with the current level of management, it does not meet the expectations of a 3-, 4-, or 5-star stay. The highlight of our visit was leaving the inn to eat breakfast at Oscar's. The food was delicious and this was the best part of our stay. There is no one consistently on site to assist with issues that arise during a stay, no traditional check-in or check-out process, and no one actively monitoring the property. Unfortunately, the combination of poor communication, dismissive management, and the lack of basic amenities resulted in a disappointing experience. I would not recommend staying here.
