I really wanted to like this car wash, and I had even bought the unlimited car wash pass. I had to cancel my pass after the last wash left two scratches roughly 3 feet long on the side of my truck. I filed a damage report with them, but they denied the claim and stated that the "Envirosft foam is physically incapable of scratching, chipping, or otherwise altering the vehicles finish". While they sound confident in the statement, I am not. I know that it was from their car wash and not my fault, nor was I scraped by another vehicle. The two scrapes run perfectly parallel to each other for 3 feet. I drive a 2017 Silverado truck, and if you look on the door panels there is a small trim piece. The scrape occurs along the piece of trim as well as a few inches above that trim. As the trim piece sticks out a quarter of an inch off the door, it is impossible for any one object to have made those two scrapes with out any damage in the middle of them. I have seen other reports of damage here and should have listened to other reviews. read more

You get what you pay for, kinda... The line is usually long and sometimes people don't know how to use the machines. The wash itself is mediocre and the undercarriage spray rarely gets all the snow off...The spinning sponges of dirt have left scratches on my car and the blow dry vents get a "P" for participation; I always bring a towel to dry. The vacuums are good and $1 lasts you enough time to do mats individually and the interior. The physical layout makes pulling out of the vacuum stalls sometimes tricky if the line is long and people are trying to exit. Also, the exit onto Ellsworth can sometimes take a minute depending on traffic. Verdict: If you are looking for an average, quick wash, this is the place. Vacuums are good value. However, if you are west of AA, I would go to their other location. It's usually less crowded and is better laid out. read more

They didn't clean my car windshield great, but it gets worse. I rarely use one of my credit cards. I used it the other day to pay for a car wash. Today, the card was used in Detroit to buy $75.00 of gas. The timing, and lack of any other charges on the card in the past few months, very clearly to either Zippy is skimming credit cards themselves, or someone installed a reader in their machine. I appreciate the free vacuums! Very convenient when I go camping, etc. and need a thorough clean out of my car and a little hand held just won't do it. The wash itself is a bit overpriced for the quality of the lower grade washes, haven't gotten the upgrades. Don't plan to get monthly membership but it's a convenient, average car wash close to home. read more

This place used to be great but now the quality of wash is sub par at best. They herd you along so fast and tight with the next car that they NEVER do a PROPER JOB of PRE-SPRAYING your car anymore. That's kind of the point of going to a drive thru wash with attendants. These guys could care less about getting the mud and dirt off your car before it gets ground in by big heavy chamois in the wash. And don't plan on having the backside of your car clean either. Just a complete downslide of the job these guys USED to do. For what they charge this place needs to do A LOT better. read more

It was my first time experiencing a car wash as I've just got my first car for about 4 months. There are 4 different types of car wash. I pick silver package which includes foamy wash, high pressure wheel wash, under body wash, and spot free rinse for $8. It sounds like there is human involved. But there is only one process which is two people apply high pressure water all over my car at the beginning. After that all washing process is done by machine. I do not even know when my car's under body is washed. The car is clean, but not completely dry after all. There are some dust on the rear bumper and dirty spots on the windshield. I am somewhat satisfied, but actually expecting something more for this price. Next time, I will try somewhere else that costs me only $3 and see the difference. read more

I use the Zippy Fast Pass here, and it is a very nice system. Once you are signed up it's about $30/month and it covers unlimited car washes. It is convenient, because I never have to worry if it's going to rain or snow the next day. If my car gets dirty, you just drive on through again! The fast pass system works very well. You just pull up to the gate, and their RFID readers recognize your car and the gate opens. You don't even have to roll down your window. The car wash itself if pretty good. My car always looks good and clean afterwards. My only real complaint is that the car's come out of the wash still fairly wet, which often leads to some streaking on your vehicle after you leave and the water dries. A lot of car wash users bring their own towels and you can see them drying their car after they exit the car wash. read more

Convenient, but terrible value. My car desperately needed a wash, and I didn't have any cash on me, so I looked to Yelp to find a place that accepted card. I like that it's a super easy drive-thru that allows you to swipe your card at a machine. It was a little busy when I got there on a Saturday afternoon, but the line moves very quickly. Stars for the convenience. However, when I pay $7 for the most basic wash, I expect a little more. There were dirty spots remaining on the windows, and my car didn't appear completely cleaned. I don't get car washes very often, so I was disappointed that I didn't get to see a better result. I'll probably return only to use their vacuums to clean the inside of my car because I don't know of any other option in the area with that service. Otherwise, next time I'll stop to get cash and try a different place. read more

3 stars for convenience. If you visit when they're packed, and you probably will, you'll realize that the car wash experiences less than stellar. Because they attract a lot of traffic, you'll have issues with the car wash not completely washing your vehicle. For example, today I got my car washed, and because they tried to pack so many people in, it only began scrubbing and washing my car at the rear passenger doors. This also meant that the front of my vehicle did not get rinsed nor dried. They would benefit from a larger facility or a smaller customer base, both of which are not bad problems to have as a business owner. What is not good is their existing customers are receiving subpar car washes. Though, their staff is super friendly and will wave and smile at you. read more

I drive a white car that is slightly vapid. That being said, it's important that my car looks clean. Despite that, I am slightly cheap about it. I rarely drive the car, but like so many places in A2 I don't have covered parking. That's why I'm the kind of person that will frequent a place like Zippy's. Okay, I know it's called "zippy" but why not "Zippy's" I DEMAND ANSWERS! For about ten bucks you drive your car through and voila! It's clean. If you want unlimited washes, you can spring for a monthly pass which will set you back about forty bucks. The line is never too long and the guys who work here are great about getting everyone in and out. If you want to vacuum afterwards, they have that too- but it's on you. This isn't the Ritz Carleton. Also make sure to bring a towel... The dryer isn't too great. read more

Damaged Hub Cap, Back of Car NEVER Clean I went to the Ellsworth Rd. location today. The attendant motioned me straight onto the tracks with no indication I should adjust to the right or left. I heard a scraping sound, and the next thing you know, the attendant was handing me my hubcap, which was damaged. He refused to attempt to snap it back on, indicating I would get help when I exited. Didn't happen. I wrote to the company. Let's see if they make this right or not. For the record, this attendant didn't try to push my mirrors in, either. This is the first time I've experienced damage. However, the back of my car (a Prius with a hatchback) is absolutely NEVER clean. The attendants make almost no effort to brush it or the wheels off. They do a pretty good job of getting the dirt off, but I was disappointed that a platinum wash doesn't come with any interior vacuuming or a towel dry. It was freezing outside and my locks froze shut the next day because of the inadequate drying off of my car. News to a non Midwesterner like me... I'd say overall the exterior wash is pretty good, but I'd give more stars if they did a towel dry and if it cane with any kind of interior service. At Zippy's Car Wash on Ellsworth the card reader in the right lane DOES NOT WORK. The reader accepted my credit card but the next screen where you select one of the four washes did not. I kept pressing the basic wash option and even tried pressing the others. None would work or complete the transaction. There are no directions provided and no way to press for help. After about 10 minutes and about 15 cars now backed up behind me, a Zippy guy finally comes out to offer help. He puts a key in the reader, pushes a couple buttons which then allows me to proceed and the gate go up. I told him that machine does not work. He ignored me. The guy in front of me appeared to have issues as well. The automated wash itself was fine, but there is no way to exit or cancel once you're at the reader, and the machine to the right DOES NOT WORK. read more

This is what a $12.00 car wash gets you, when the place isn't even busy. The first gentleman haphazardly sprayed one side then set the hose down and walked, while the other hurried me in and through. I have the Zippy "all you can wash" pass. Costs about $25/month- wash as often as you like. I like this option...that gives me 5 washes per month for $5 (I'd do more, but it's a little out of my way). The wash is usually good, once in awhile I find a dirt spot (then I just go through again)...they are a little pricey if you pay as you go ($8-12). You can also go through the wash with a car rack...an unusual feature- but great if you have a car rack and don't want to take it off every time you wash! read more

I just bought a new car and thought the fast pass would be a good way to keep it all shiny and new looking. As others have said, the rinse doesn't always get it all (there was a touch of soap left on my back bumper) and the dry feels like it needs one more dryer because my hood is left with lots of droplets. That is just minor nit picking, though. Overall the car ends up looking very nice. The fast pass is a bargain since I work less than a mile away and pass the place on my way home and when I go to lunch most weekdays. Any time the car looks slightly dirty, I can make a quick stop. Be aware, if you are looking to buy a fast pass, don't pull up to the gate hoping to purchase one on the computer located there as it isn't an option as of this review. Luckily for me no one was behind me, or else I would have had to purchase a wash to get through the gate. Since there was no line, I threw it in reverse and pulled into their parking lot and went inside to pay. Surprisingly good wash. I would hope as much for the $8 Silver level. But the tires were sparkling clean. Zippys is only about a decade old, so the equipment is fairly new. The vacuums have a shampoo and spot treatment option and are well maintained. Overall quite pleased. read more

I love this car wash. The only one I've ever been to that puts Armor All or whatever they use, automatically, on your tires. And my car looks awesome. It also gets your rims clean, which I find is hard to come by with most washes. The only thing I don't like is I think they have the speed cranked up for the winter (car washes busy season) which is understandable. As a result, it leaves some water on the car (especially on the back bumper). Can't wait to use during the summer. read more

I've been going to this wash once or twice a month for the past few years and have never been impressed. Can't tell a difference between the most basic and most expensive washes. The set-up of this place isn't the best. I won't be going back there after my last experience - it was busy and they were stacking cars in as close as possible and while I was underneath the drying area the person in front of me wasn't moving because of the stacked up cars trying to pull out on the main road. I had to stomp on my breaks or else the track would have pulled me directly into the car in-front of me. I was stuck there for at least 45 seconds feeling my car jump up and down from the moving track. How I was not rear ended from the person behind me still amazes me. It was a horrible experience. Will be looking for a new car wash. And even though I was stuck in the drying area for almost triple the amount of time, my car was still drenched when I got home as per usual. read more
