First time at Zippy's with two of my usual car wash places closed. Zippy's was cool. Self Serve Vacuums for inside car were high power (though I do wish it was not $1 - other place I usually go to is 50 cents - but these vacuums have stronger vacuuming!) Easy pay - pull up to machine, make selection on type of wash, insert cash, ticket dispensed - no cash handling by the crew. And if it's possible for a car wash crew to be professional - these guys were. Team was professional and well dressed in uniforms - for a car wash! Resulting machine wash, with prelim brush by the crew, was great! Only 6 bucks! Nice job Zippy! read more

WORST COSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. Beyond upset. Paid for a car wash and my car came out COVERED in soap and sopping wet !!! When I confronted a staff member to address my concerns his response was that they were closed and there was nothing he could do. I asked to speak to a manager and the manager told me he would get me a towel to wipe it off.... Are you joking me? I had to go directly to another car wash just to get the soap off because they wouldn't even let me go back through!! Manager refused a refund because I got my car washed... Pretty sure if my car is still covered in soap ITS NOT CLEAN. read more

Convenient location. Ok prices (the loyalty coupons are nice). But what really bugs me is that their automated dryers do not fully dry your car. I always leave with my car still wet and soapy in some places, which then dries in streaks. If there was a better car wash closer to me I wouldn't hesitate to go there. read more

I have a fast pass for our car and had a horrible experience today with "Tim" at the Zeeb location. As we were pulling closer to the car wash entry, my husband was following Adam's wave to come closer, but I saw this other guy waving for him to stop. My husband followed Adam's instruction and moved forward. That is when this "Tim" character turns around with a glowering look and looked ready to fight. As a female with two tween girls sitting in the backseat, I was stocked to say the least. It is NEVER okay for ANY man to be confrontation towards a woman or girls. Mind you, we have had this fast pass and have been going to this car wash since it opened with over all good experience with the exception of "Tim". Then my husbands proceeds to tell me that he normally hides in the office and is only rude when customers are forced to interact with him. The same rude person who we got the fast pass from. I called the Ellsworth location and left a message for the owner. No call back yet. As much as my husband likes to keep my car clean, I refuse to continue giving business to a place that keeps a hostile worker. If the owner ever calls back, I will be requesting to have my monthly prorated payment refunded. read more

Beware if you have bigger vehicles! I have a Grand Cherokee that was long overdue for a wash. I paid for the $10 wash and everything was as expected until the rinse. There is only one rinse cycle/station (whatever you want to call it) inside the wash, and I left with soap ALL over my car, especially the back! I was not pleased at all! I tried to find someone who would give me another wash or try to help me, but no one was helpful. I had to drive my now frozen soapy car to a self-serve wash and finish the rest myself. I called and left a message for the manager, hoping for some sort of refund, and finally received a call back about closing time. He offered me a free wash, but nothing else, which would be fine if I didn't live out of state and don't visit that often. Not pleased with the service or the quality. Definitely will not be going back here again. read more

Don't expect courtesy here, went around closing time (but still before) and watched a young man walk right in front of my vehicle to shut off the pay station. I guess the small things don't matter any more. Wish I could've had a better experience, but I wasn't even able to wash my vehicle. read more

This car wash is more of a rinse. They never spray your car off for more than 10 secs. That would be fine if the actual Carwash washed your car. I have 2 monthly passes. I dont know why but there just aren't too many options in the Dexter/Chelsea area. I just drove around again after not even one bug was cleaned off my windshield. The two guys got up came out. Looked at me as if I were a a** for going through twice, pulled me forward pushed the button and didn't even pick up the wands to spray off my vehicle. The dead bugs are still there. The worst. They care about cramming car after car in and that's all. I have so much soap scum on my car that I have to go right through another car wash. Such a waste of 8$. I will NEVER go back. To be fair they asked if I wanted to go back through, but why? To add more soap scum on top? No thanks. read more

Good car wash but there is this one worker who is just incredibly rude. I came up to him with a simple question and he lied to me and used an angry careless tone. He treated me like some kind of criminal. His name was Tim and he had a long beard. read more

I have been complaining about this for a few months but so far it has not been fixed. The soap does not rinse off the back of my vehicle or anyone else's as I have been paying attention. My car leaves with the back end entirely soapy and so does every vehicle that I am behind. It looks terrible and may ruin your vehicle. This is unacceptable. At the very least put a person down at the other end to rinse off the soap from the back of everyone's car. Very disappointing, I would not recommend this car wash. The one on Ellsworth does a better job. read more

I think some of the negative reviews here are pretty harsh & petty! For a drive-thru car wash where you never need to exit your car (or even roll down your window if you pay by the month) this is the best I've ever seen; and it is certainly the best available in Ann Arbor. It is true that the rinse does not absolutely remove all traces of soap--especially in the outside mirrors--but if this really bothers you, you need to find a detailer instead of a drive through. The monthly pass allows you to drive through as many times as you want whenever you choose at either location, so you can really keep it clean in the winter. There's no hand-drying but no tipping either. There are parking spots next to the usual vacuum machines for do-it-yourself interior cleaning but the big selling point is a thorough external wash & wax at a reasonable price and unmatched convenience with the monthly pass. read more

I pulled my car into the washing area, following the guy's lead. His was waving me forward, forward, while my car was making a horrible noise. I turned my wheel slightly left, and he kept waving me forward. I bounced the track, and the guy started yelling at me. "I was waving you, but apparently you thought you knew better and turned left. I could have blinked my eyes (here he blinks his eyes) and gotten in anyone - but YOU didn't do it." He continued to berate me, until I said, You don't have be an @$$ hole about it. I asked him what I should do to get out and he said, I don't know, you did it yourself. So there I sat until a very nice woman from inside came out. I explained the situation and she gently talked me onto the rail. As I was leaving she came out, apologized for the umpteenth time, and took my number - she was reporting the incident to the manager. Allan, the washer, was not only unkind, he was also rude. I don't think he'd talk like that to a male and did back off when I called him an @$$ hole. PS - the washes work best if you only want to get off dust and some dirt. Yes, the car comes out wet, and most times the front window is still dirty in the corners. read more

Had an unlimited pass, bought a new car and they refused to transfer the pass to the new car. Instead they wanted to charge me for the unused portion of the month on the old car because I hadn't had enough foresight to cancel the pass 15 days before it was billed (sorry, didn't know I was going to purchase a new car 15 days before I was billed) AND charge me full price to start a "new" pass. Spoke with the manager there who basically said "tough" and then emailed the general manager with absolutely no response. Amazing that they were willing to lose both my business and my husband's business totaling over $240 a year over $29 dollars. Seriously? I will never use them again. read more

The vacuums are a bit too close togeather. It was impossible for me to open my doors when the guy next to me had his opened. There was a pretty long wait for the wash too but the wash did clean my car pretty good. Overall id say average at best. read more
