I enjoy supporting family owned businesses. This one around for over 70 years with a tasty simple burger. More elaborate burgers are available depending on what you are looking for. Service for food was fast for shakes and burgers. Older style decorations and well maintained. I'd go again when in town. read more

Don't waste your time or money. Snapped at for sauce. The last time, was the last straw. Anytime I consider looking into reviews and their menu....the price is the kicker. May I suggest humble burger... or Mikey's? Better ingredients and better quality...Applebees or Buffalo Wild Wings also would have similar food options for the same price or less. Real talk. Ordered food through their drive thru and we've been waiting 10m with only 1 order in front of us. Bad service.

I showed up at 8:30 pm and all the doors were locked. They weren't happy to service and attempted to ignore me, seeing me standing outside the door. I'm not sure why it was a problem since they had vehicles going through the drive through and there was plenty of time before closing. I like to support local but this experience wasn't great. I'm out $11 dollars and no dinner because once I finished walking back to La quinta hotel they gave me a burned floor spice covered chicken sandwich. read more

I went into the restaurant around 8:30pm and they close at 9. Never do this. They become extremely nasty if you go after 8pm. I ordered the food. They forgot the drinks. They fixed that. They brought they food to the table in to go bags. They forgot the milkshake. They were in the back playing loud music and ignored me when I tried to get their attention. I had to go into the back to get them to make the milkshake. It's been around 20 minutes. Now they start playing "closing time" the song loudly over the speakers to get us to leave. If I wasn't fixing the order half the time maybe I would have been eating instead. We go and eat at the tables outside to get away from them. I've had with their lazy rudeness. The food is fast food level. Zips used to have good food, now they're just nasty to people and lazy about completing orders. They did bring my phone back to me after I left it inside, so I'll give them credit for that favor. Still, I didn't have fun at all. Not worth $47 that's for sure. read more

Talk about shrinkflation!!! The food prices are ridiculous for what you get! A Papa burger has a normal sized bun with a TINY burger patty, a ultra thin slice of ham, with lettuce, onions and sauce and it cost $5.49! Live and learn I guess. Won't be returning. Great tasting food, horribly long wait times (especially for the drive through). I always find myself craving Zip's, but then I show up and just get frustrated by the bored-sounding staff and guaranteed 30+ minute wait. Ordered their chili hotdog. All I got was a hotdog sandwich slapped with cold cheese and chili. There is no way that chili is homemade either, it's canned 100%. Stay away and save your money read more

The worst kind of drive-thru experience is the kind where the person working headset asks every time you even breathe or think, no matter if you've only ordered 19 cents of sauce so far, if you're done. The next worst thing is when the person working headset is exasperated and annoyed when you ask questions about the food. Another worst thing is when they then get that information wrong, so you don't get what you think you ordered. Three for three. Go elsewhere. read more

Today got to pick-up lunch for myself and a friend after doing some shopping. I hadn't been to Zip's in a long time so I suggested going there to see if it had changed. I had a double bacon-cheese burger and a chocolate mint shake and she had a double cheese burger and a huckleberry shake. After all this time I am pleased to say Zip's is still on my top burger list, real meat, real cheese, real bacon, all cooked to order (no hot lamps). Same for shakes, thick, rich and real, (not from mixes). If you are new to Moscow, be sure to try their menu and if you haven't been there in a while, give it a try again, I am sure you won't be disappointed. read more

Zips - 4 stars This place excels and quality in regards to fast food. I don't eat fast food anymore but if anyone else does they might as well enjoy a quality burger. I believe they put extra money in the ingredients and prepare everything correctly. I recommend their burgers - they're really good with Tabasco. They are well priced and they keep the place relatively clean for a fast food facility. The staff are top-notch for a fast food place. read more

I just went through the drive through and it skipped between 2 different people taking my order and they didn't read the Order back. I anticipated a wait because we ordered some tots and smile fries. They go to give us the order and everything is literally shoved in one bag... literally burger was smashed. I checked the bag before leaving the drive through and they missed our smile fries..( they got them to us eventually). I just got home and wanted to start eating as the corn dog is burnt to hell. Horrible service, received wrong menu items and when I went back to get half of my order replaced waited almost 20 minutes just to replace what they messed up. The worker complained to me about opening a new bag of burger patties so 20 minutes before closing and when I received my corrected order found it was intentionally made poorly and with an absurd amount of sauce. Food was ok but someone spilt ice on floor and my son almost slipped and we asked if they could clean it up and it did not get cleaned.

Ordered the Bear Burger. It was very dry and bland. Fast service but not a good burger... Even the fries were bland. I would suggest salt and pepper... I'll give it a second shot but probably stick with Cougar Country. read more

Yuck...drive through service was decent for Xmas eve on our way through town but the food was below par. The grilled chicken sandwich was a slimy mess where the bun and meat had the same flavor. The onion rings had more batter than onion and were also flavorless. The fry sauce was good but tiny containers. Time to clean the fryer! read more

This is my second time at Zips. I was here maybe 2 years ago and had a delicious burger and huckleberry shake, back when I was still in denial about my lactose intolerance. I'm not in this area of the country often but came by again today. I had the rodeo burger. The patty was smallish for the price but it was tasty with crisp bacon, BBQ sauce, pepper jack cheese, and a fresh bun. It's a family place and seems like a local institution. I didn't get a shake this time as I'm coming to terms with my lactose intolerance. But basically everyone on line ordered shakes and they looked so good! I noticed the parking area has room for trucks pulling trailers to get through. Don't let your trailer deter you from stopping here. read more

I had the mushroom swiss burger, which is my favorite, I've probably eaten the mushroom swiss burger at about 50 or more different restaurants, so I consider myself a pretty seasoned critic. I thought the burger was excellent considering it was a fast food place. The way its put together is very interesting, not just a regular round burger, but more like a hoagie. An interesting place. A step above your McDonalds and Burger King's, I would place the burgers at roughly the same level as Jack in the Box or Carl's Jr. but at a slightly higher price tag. I used to love this place but wow!! what a disappointment. I used to get the halibut and fries and it was great. Today I got the fish and subbed onion rings. The fish is no longer halibut but some flat, small fish. Likely a quarter of a tilapia. The onion rings were delicious as usual but there were 5 of them and I paid extra. All of this for $7 bucks. Its a really big rip off for too much money, too little food, and a 15 minute wait. Disappointing. read more

The burgers here are only slightly better than McDonald's but that isn't saying much. The french fries are gross. They are those crinkle cut fries like you get in the frozen food section at the grocery store. The prices are reasonable but you could pay the same amount for a far superior meal at Jack in the Box or Wendy's. I would skip this place completely and stick with a chain you know or try Cougar Country in Pullman, where the burgers are much larger. Oh yeah and the restaurant itself is incredibly run down. I won't go so far as to say I love Zips... but for a quick burger and fries I have no complaints. To my knowledge it is one of the few places where you can get a burger with other meats on top of other meats (not just the obvious bacon). I would agree with other reviewers that don't view Zips as health food central but it is what I want from a little regional chain. Keep on keepin on!!! read more
