I used to really enjoy Humble Burger, but charging $0.50 for a tiny container of fry sauce is honestly ridiculous. Fry sauce used to be free, like it should be. Now they're nickel-and-diming customers over something that probably costs them pennies. And it's not even a large portion. It's a tiny plastic cup that barely covers a small order of fries. If you actually want enough sauce to dip comfortably, you're suddenly paying an extra dollar or more. For sauce. It just feels cheap. When you're already paying premium prices for burgers and fries, adding a surcharge for basic condiments leaves a bad taste in your mouth before you even start eating. It makes the whole experience feel less "local burger joint" and more "how can we squeeze another dollar out of you?" So disappointing they have become such a cheap nickel and dime place. read more

I got a double cheese burger it was really good, next time I think I'll just get a single because the patties were much bigger than expected. It had nice flavor but a bit salty, good sauce, and I really enjoyed the pickles. Seemed to be house made or fresh pickled cucumbers, some sweet with a tang. Love Humble Burger's new location in Downtown Moscow! Clean interior with plenty of seating - even a few place outside! I love that people can watch the food being made, and the staff is so friendly! Limited menu, but it's so hearty and they cater to those who are GF! I wish they had more conventional drinks (Coke, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, etc), but the food itself surpasses my complaints about drinks! Very tasty smash burger which is simple and straight to the point. Meat, cheese(xtra cost) pickle, red onion, and their humble sauce(which is like a mac sauce with more flavor). They use a good bun too! Fries were on point and i like skin on. They were fairy priced for the burger but a lil pricey on other items. Also they lacked options like adding bacon! That's the only reason they didn't get a five star. Service was great with a gastropub like ambience you'd expect with a burger place. Chai milkshake was worth the buy but wish it was larger cuz it was delicious. All in all, if you're lookin for a burger outside the fast food norm. This is a good spot! read more

Humble Burger makes the best smash burger I've ever had. I love that they don't shy away from what a smash burger is supposed to be: thin patty with extra crispy smashed edges, awesome pickles (I always get extra), grilled onions, American cheese, special sauce, and a solid bun. It's a no-frills burger but the flavor beats most burgers you can find for even more money. You can tell that they care a lot about the ingredient quality and the food is generally very consistent even when they are packed. If you're looking for a thicker pub style burger it might not be for you, but if you appreciate the smash style burger you cannot miss this place. read more

I almost walked out when I saw the burger is really plain and one of the things they put on the burgers is sweet pickles (not dill) Decided to give it a go anyways minus the pickles and somehow the burger was still incredible. The food was great however, they weren't following proper procedures with handling food. I constantly saw food being handled without gloves like the cheese burger bread, and burger meat. I saw the bottle opener fall multiple times on the floor and was never cleaned. While I was waiting for an hour to get our food I saw only one person wash their hands one time. Finally after the last ten minutes we were here two people out of the 5 put on gloves. The rate is all based on how the food was handled. read more

The burger is one of the best in town, plus a good price. The ranch is the best ranch you'll ever try, so make sure to get it. I do recommend getting an extra meat patty since there is a lot of bread though. Also I recommend doing take-out because the place is usually packed and not enough seating. Just OK. Wouldn't come here again. The hamburger was over sauced, the meat to bun ratio was too high, and the onions were placed incorrectly at the bottom of the bun instead of on the top next to the pickles. Overall, it just wasn't a satisfying hamburger. The French fries were over saturated with oil and needed some salt. Wait time for food was also pretty high. I think Five Guy's set the bar for how long it should take to get your food. It should be very quick. The open kitchen model also makes the restaurant super loud. It was so loud you could barely hear the music and had to shout to talk to somebody else. Again, it also fell short compared to Five Guy's in that it didn't even have a self service station for salt and pepper. You have to ask the front house staff. Overall, not that good. Hoping they will improve and get better in the future. read more

I drink lots of lemonade I make, thiers was different but good. It comes in a 12 oz glass. No refills. Water was from a big jug on the counter, ice got it somewhat below room temp. This is the best burger on God's green Earth. If you don't like smash burgers, grow up. The buns are soft and like pillows supporting the main cast of beef and cheese and pickles and onions and special sauce. I want to take a bath in the special sauce. The pickles are homemade and you can really taste it. The lacy bits of crispy beef on the patties almost bring me to tears. I get a number 1 combo with a burger and their crispy, crispy fries (always add cheese) every time. For my drink, I alternate between their iconic homemade ginger lemonade, a local cider/beer, and one of their scrumptious milkshakes. Bring back the French Toast Milkshake!! When I eventually have to move away from the Palouse, I will shake my fist to the heavens and swear, for I shall lose the food experience that has brought me true meaning. I got the #2 Double Humble Burger combo with fries and a Ginger Lemon Lemonade. Fries were good, I wasn't obsessed with the fry sauce just because I think it had dill in it. It just wasn't my kind of fry sauce. The burger was good but a double was so much bigger than I thought it'd be! Next time around I think I'll downsize my meal. Humble Burger is a nice little place in downtown Moscow. More of a modern, trendy look rather than a classic burger joint, which I am not a huge fan of. First of all, they get bonus points for fiscal policy. I ordered a meal but didn't want a drink, and they didn't charge for the full meal. Took like a buck off. Either that or my mental math abilities are just awful. Regardless, most people probably don't care that much but I thought I would mention it. More for just the thought rather than the dollar. Burger was very good. Hand made, good quality meat. Melted cheese, good bun. Big fan. Fries were a different story. Stringy and not cooked right. Small fry bag was too small, which I would have cared about more if the fries were better, but just in case people like those kind of fries get a large. Part B of fiscal policy- this place is too expensive. The buck off was nice but in my personal opinion the burger and fries were too much. And that could be connected to the fact that I didn't like the fries much... but overall that was my opinion. Would consider going again, but it is more likely try something else. read more
