Staying nearby and unable to find a pickup/dropoff service in the timeframe I'd like, besides they were all 3x the cost. I zipped over to zips with my bag of laundry and they took care of me. It was an easy process. I had entirely lost my voice and had to use a notepad to communicate, yet the employee who helped me was friendly and patient and I got my items back in the timeframe stated at $20 for a full bag of laundry. More than 30 days ago, Zips ruined 5 of my husband's dress shirts! Not only did it take 2 weeks to own up to the mistake, but I was told the had "30 days to correct their error." Well, it's now over 30 days. A week's worth of dress shirts ruined! This business did not replace or reimburse me for anything! I came to your Pikesville Md location on Saturday, July 5th before 9:00 AM with 5 items. I wanted 4 pairs trousers ironed with creases. On Saturday, I picked up 4 pairs trousers by Tuesday, I realized that 2 pairs of the trousers were not creased and I returned the trousers to Zips on Wednesday with a few other trousers and when I returned the trousers were no creased, I requested a refund and I was told that I had to wait to get my refund. Update 11/2024. I am happy to repost that ZIPS has returned to the level of service I received in the beginning! Mohammed the owner did make good on my two lost shirts and I was reimbursed. They also comped the cleaning on the late and lost items. It was slow, but they did get the equipment back up and running. I have been using both face-to-face counter drops and drop-off service. Customer service was a huge issue. I have never used a dry cleaning service and simply won't be coming back to this location due to the off-putting and unwelcoming experience. In my 2 minute interaction with Patrice she was rude and rolled her eyes at me for asking how the services worked. Good cleaning, poor service. I brought my queen sized comforter to ZIPS on a Monday morning at 8:00am for dry cleaning. I had heard about their low prices and "in by 9:00, out by 5:00" policy, and wanted to give it a try. The cashier clearly was either having a terrible day or else hates their job with a passion. You would have thought I had knocked on a stranger's door and demanded them to do my laundry with how they responded to me! The cost for the comforter ended up being $19.99 which I think is reasonable, but I was surprised that the receipt shoved at me showed an estimated pick up date that was 10 days away. Luckily, I was later notified that my comforter was ready the next day. When I picked it up I was pleased that it was folded into a plastic carrying bag with a handle, which made transporting it so much easier. It was clean and fresh, so on that I can't fault them. read more

I stopped in to this business for the first time, and the gentleman at the front desk explained how the service worked and the time frame I could expect for a turn around. He was very friendly and professional, and asked what I needed done with the jacket I was dropping off. I indicated the stains and he took note of them, letting me know that it would be ready the next day at 5pm. The business texted me ahead of that time and was happy with the fast service, but when I picked it up, I found that my jacket was very crisp when wrinkle-free, but still stained in the same places. I don't know what they did to treat my jacket, but it seems that the process was abandoned at a certain point. read more

I used to frequent this location but as of COVID I have not been working for a while and therefore have not had the need to launder my clothes frequently. It should be stated that I never had an issue with them previously. Nonetheless, I had a zoom interview and needed my favorite satin blouse for my interview. I wore it, and took it to Zips to be cleaned, along with two comforters. Some how, these people lost my blouse but had my comforters. When I asked the "manager" to explain why and how they managed to lose my item, he rudely told me that he has no idea and I have to fill out a form to locate it. I never write these reviews but I'm pretty pissed about this; especially since I'll need to drive across town to come back, after 3 more weeks of this nonsense to see if they manage to find it. I've been coming here for about a year. And they have recently come under new ownership and management. I went in two weeks ago to have some clothes laundered and dry cleaned. And when I picked those items up they were not done correctly. No creases in my shirt sleeves, my pants seams were not put together and creased evenly. On yesterday 10/19/20 I decided to give them another chance. I dropped off my clothing and reiterated how I wanted my clothing done. I was assured that my previous experience wouldn't happen again. I went in on today 10/20/20 to pick up my clothing. My sleeves were not creased AT ALL. My pants that were suppose to have heavy starch, were not starched, or creased correctly. They also off 24 Hour EZ Drop Service. Be prepared to pay upon dropping off your dry cleaning, which is different from the traditional dry cleaner. The worst customer service by the "manager" Josh, both in per. The service has deteriorated terribly within the last couple of months. He was very rude, rolling his eyes, huffing and puffing and turning his head while I spoke. This situation occurred because my clothes I dropped of prior to 6 am the day before were not ready the following day at 1 pm. He was not accommodating and told me there was nothing else he could do. THEY DID NOT CLEAN THE COMFORTORS and are refusing to do the work because I did not check them out before I put them away. Very disappointed with service. Gave four white shirts. In was brand new. Two of them came back so stained. One had over twelve stains on it. Took them back today. Did not even get a " sorry about that" from the disinterested non energetic employee. The two suit coats that I sent in for dry cleaning lost their shine. Both the collars were crumpled. Both coats are new and we're only worn once. They now look like they are several years old. I'm never going back! Have been a customer for probably +5 years at this location and 5-10 at other Zips locations prior. Experiences the last couple times have been a disappointment. They don't care about customers and I can make the leap that they care even less about those customers garments. Last visit at 3 in the afternoon would not accept clothes for cleaning. I indicated that I was in no rush and didn't need them back for at least a week and I had driven a long way to drop off clothes. They would not accept my order. I asked to speak to a manager. They went to tell him and he refused to come up to discuss the situation. I recommended them to my daughter and she had clothes damaged and after a couple bad experiences refused to return. I guess I will be joining her. Strongly recommend finding an alternative to this place. read more

I'm disappointed once again. I've been going here since they opened but in the last 4-5 months they have been closed when their own posted hours say they should be open. How is it that at 8:30AM on a Friday, business is still closed and no one is here and not even a light on? The posted hours say 7am-8pm? I have been a customer of zips for a7 years and today was the worst experience I had with this branch. Shirt came back wrinkly and stains not removed. When I addressed the issue about both problems they asked me to sign a waiver for them to use chemicals and remove the stains and when I asked if I should sign a waiver for re-ironing, I was surprised with the attitude and how the manager is busy and don't have time to go back and forth with me. The Innsbrook location is a joke. They aren't open the hours that they post on the door or online, the customer service is horrible and they are now quoting a 10 day turn time due to staffing. I know that everyone is having staffing issues but they need to remove the "in by 9, out by 5" poster on the door because it is false advertising. When I went in a day after dropping my shirts off, they told me about the 10 day turn around and I asked for my shirts back. They told me to come back in 90 minutes while they "try to find them"....seriously? Zips' business model no longer works in the era of rising wages. I use the Zips in my hometown of Annapolis and it's inexpensive and they do an good job so I tried the one here since I'm working in the area and this place is terrible. There's an employee there who shouldn't be representing ANYONE'S Business. You'll know him when you walk in. My bp didn't drop for an hour. I choked down my disgust for their poor customer service and asked politely if he could mark some spots that needed treatment. This week I was accused of taking someone's skirt. According to the manager, I was given a skirt instead of a pair of my slacks. According, a note was placed on record, to not give my slacks to me until I returned the skirt. I do not have this skirt they are taking about. According to the mgr. on duty Sunday, they had video evidence of the slacks and skirt being placed in the wrong group. I will be going back tomorrow to request review of this tape. Do not go here if you expect businesses to stay open during their posted hours. The sign posted on the door says it closes at 5 on Saturday. I showed up at 4:45 to pick up my clothes, and there was another customer knocking at the door because it was locked. We could see an employee in there, shuffling back and forth closing up shop, and blatantly ignoring us. Finally she unlocked the door (this was at about 4:53), stomped her way past the other customer, said "we're closed," and went to her Uber. When the other customer pointed out that the sign says they close at 5, she interrupted him saying "we're closed," very rudely, and got in the Uber. There were at least three other customers besides us who did not get our clothes. Now I will have to cancel a business engagement on Monday because I won't have appropriate clothes to wear to it.
