By far the worst service ever I've had since being here in Virgina. I took my 7 pairs of jeans to get heavy starch I explained what needed to be done . The next day on pick up my jeans where never starched or washed . Never will I ever take my cloths to this establishment nor should you. ZIPS has always done a perfectly acceptable job with basic dry cleaning services, and their customer-facing staff are typically warm and friendly. HOWEVER, anything more complicated than that, and there's always some sort of issue. If I drop off an item of clothing that needs to be mended or has a serious stain, there's about a 70% chance that the stain/rip/etc. will not be removed/fixed when they return the item to me and I will have to tell them to try again. I understand that, sometimes, a stain can't be removed or a rip can't be adequately fixed. However, if they fail to fix something, they always give the item back to me and just...hope I don't notice rather than talk to me, call me, or even just leave a note pinned to the item! It's incredibly frustrating! The final straw was broken today: I gave them one of my daughter's beanies to mend after our cat ripped a hole in the top. Even after a week, the hole was only partially sewed up and there were still dozens of loose threads sticking out every which way. It looked cartoonishly bad! They may as well have pulled in a random person off the street to fix the hat! After today, I'll be looking for a new dry cleaner/tailor who's actually professional, skilled, and reliable, even if it means I'll have to drive further and/or pay more. read more

The last couple time the clothes were terribly wrinkled. The shirts look like they were crumpled. Some of the clothing was still damp. The last dry cleaning they misplaced a whole suit. The quality is crap and I'd rather pay more and get it done right. read more

I've been to different Zips locations in the area to get a quick simple clean. I'm not one to expect miracles and the perfect press when it comes to dry cleaning, but save your money from aggravation by avoiding this location. I brought in my suit and shirt to be pressed and I asked for mid level starch. I was in a rush to have it cleaned so I could get it configured for a wedding I was attending. When I returned at the time that they said it was finished, my shirt looked barely pressed and the suit looked like it was just slightly dry cleaned. Seeing that I was in a rush, I had to just clean and press it myself which looked much better than what I paid for. Maybe it was a fluke, but I'll just continue to use the usual Zips locations. read more

Can I leave zero stars? Lost my order with no direction. Declined to do half my order because I have pets. No phone call to let me know. From a full bag, they cleaned six pieces, rejected the rest. And lost a comforter from another drop. Tried to call the store after I left and they don't answer the phone. Well I have to write another review and this will be my last. We thought they were fast and reasonable and open early which we like, but after they lost some of my clothes and sewed one shoddily I was not a fan. However, we bought new shower curtains for the hall bathroom a while ago and so once we were ready to put them up he took them to Zips to dry clean and most importantly, to get the wrinkles out. Suffice to say, the wrinkles were all still there and my husband said he will not go back to them again. See pictures. We dropped of my husband's suit and my dress for a wedding. We were told it will be ready the next day by 5. We arrive and the lady behind the counter told us no by Tuesday. We explained we needed this for a wedding and she was being snotty. She said well maybe by 7. Very frustrated and disappointed about the service of this location. I brought my work jacket and a nice newjumper for cleaning they spread something in the jacket and burned my black jumper. Zips is so cheap. $2.29 for an item, which granted is a little more than it used to be but it's fast (if you drop it by 9 am that day, by 5 it will be ready). If it is after that then it is ready by five the next day. Plenty of parking, and good service. read more

I picked up my dry cleaning from them thinking I have all twelve pieces. I get home and check my pieces the next day and I'm missing four items and they gave me someone else's tie. I didn't even drop off a tie to be dry cleaned. The lack of attention to detail is very concerning and suit jackets are not cheap especially when you have to get them altered. We come here for basic dry cleaning service. Personally, I don't ever recommend using a cleaner who marks down the price so low for high priced belongings. (ex: wedding dresses, tux, etc.) They have a huge volume that they work with. So for that case with what we get they are great. They always do an exceptional job and communicate when something can't be done. No reason to argue when a company admit to not being able to fix a product. All their staff is super friendly and helpful. Again, with their volume don't put an item here if you're not willing to lose it. That's the advice I have for everyone here. They have the best price in the area and are super busy. People are having high expectations for a place that has the lowest price and quickest production. You get what you pay for. read more

My first visit was great, my 2nd will be my last. My husband dropped off 13 items on June 30th, I return to pick up my garments on July 1st, only 9 were ready so I returned Friday July 2nd. I was given only 1 of my garment and 3 items of someone else 's garments. I realized this before I left the store. Bringing this to the clerks attention they took the other garments and treated them as dirty and tossed them aside. the clerks Not knowing how to handle the situation, they brushed me off. I came home and proceeded to call the store and got voice mail. Leaving a message and several emails to the corporate office, Not one person has acknowledge my missing garments. DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS!!! I took two shirts in to be altered almost a month ago. When I got them back NOTHING had been done. So I took them back and talked to the alteration guy. This after calling FIVE times to make sure he was there. NO ONE answered the phone. He said they had cleaned them by mistake and assured me they would be ready on a certain day, without fail. I attempted to call to see if they were ready. I called another five times, with no answer. So I went over there. Neither the alterations guy or the shirts were there. I have had to have my military uniform dry cleaned and pressed for more than 20 years. I have never had had it ruined. This is by far the worst dry cleaners that I have ever used. They have no skills except for ruining your clothes. If you want your clothing items properly cleaned, dry cleaned or pressed DO NOT take them to zips dry cleaning! They will also lose, tear, and not have your items done on time! read more

Friendly people but shoddy cleaning. My dresses come back still smelling like sweat. I'm now going to a nearby cleaner instead and using an at-home refresher like Dryel or Woolite's Dry Cleaner's Secret in between deep dry cleanings to save money. Even the at-home stuff does a better job of refreshing my clothes than the Zips cleaning does. I dropped off a special occasion dress and they said they couldn't do it because they work in bulk and would burn/melt the special details on the dress. I'm glad they didn't just clean the dress but it shows me that they aren't "just like the high priced cleaners" like they say on the radio. read more

If you're looking for a basic dry-cleaning for your clothes, this is the cheapest place in town. Two suits dry cleaned for $8 - can't beat that! If you have something that needs a bit more attention, you may want to go elsewhere. They aren't good at getting stains out, especially tough ones, and will point them out when you drop them off. They may refuse clothing that is already torn or ripped, or if it has an abundance of pet hair. I saw another comment about a missing button and there is a missing button on the pants of one of my suits, but I've also gained some weight recently and the suit is fitting a bit more ... ummm ... snug ... so this may not be their fault. Today was the first time I stopped at this Zips location. I was met at the door by Evelyn at 0658, who came out and told me the code to the drop off door and showed me how to use it. I was pleased to see how nice the people were at this location. My pleasure turned to disgust about 30 minutes later, when I was called by Evelyn telling me I needed to come back and pick up my clothing as it would not be cleaned today. She told me I wasn't registered at that location, which she knew 30 minutes prior because I asked if all the information from each Zips was shared with each other (her response was Yes!). I had specifically told her when she took my bag this was my first time at this location. She told me specifically we never spoke she only took my bag. She lied to my face and on the phone after hanging up on me. I asked when the manager was going to be in, she said they managed themselves. I asked when he was going to be in again, she said tomorrow because he was in school. I asked if she could call him to figure out what to do since I was 30 minutes away. Nope, since I needed my items cleaned today I had to turn around and head back to go get my clothing and take it over to the Westgate location sine there was no chance this store was even going to think about cleaning my items. I have never seen such horrible customer service, out and out disregard for people, complete rudeness, and to put on top of all of that lying in my entire life. I will be filing complaints with corporate, BBB, and anything else I can to try and remedy this. I asked my regular Zips the exact questions I asked Evelyn, their response was yes we will clean the clothes but there will be a balance, we have a way to get a hold of our manager if anything happens, and yes there is a way to get the credit card information into the computer if it doesn't swipe. I also have the entire interaction on my phone on video, also I believe I have the earlier interaction on my dashcam where Evelyn told me about everything being interchangable between locations. read more

I have been using this cleaner for so long I can't recall when was the first year. BUT BOY' have they changed. two or three years ago if there was an issue a manager would show up in front of the store ask if there was an issue. I had asked that my shirts be medium starched and creese the sleaves. I went to pick up my 15 shirts, some were ok about half I said to the lady at the counter please take these back to make sure they are medium starched and creased sleaves I went to pick up the next day. Before switching to Zips, I used another dry cleaner that had been in Manassas for 30+ years. The other place was very expensive, but I justified the price because they called me by name, were always friendly, and my cleaning was perfect each time. Times being what they are and trying to save a few bucks, I decided to give Zips a try and glad I did. Although they do not call me by name when I walk in, the staff is very friendly, they do a great job cleaning my clothes and the location is convenient and easy to get in/out. The only minor drawback is that they do not offer the convenience of being able to use a credit or debit card. But, I suppose that is one of the ways they are able to keep their prices down and I can live with that. Overall, I think this place is great. Fair prices, friendly staff, good service and convenient location. Very highly recommended! read more
