Drop off my California king comforter , when I pick it up it was in a plastic bag . I got home and open it and it had unpleasant chemical smell, and the backing was very wrinkle . Not to sure of what the they clean it with or wash it with , but it stink. Definitely not worth my $25 . And you had to pay when you drop off, so you know they are not giving back money . There was no need to take it back , but I will not be going back there . Should have stuck to my first instinct and took it to the laundry mat and wash it myself . Very poor service . read more

I dropped off a king size comforter at 8 AM and had a text by 2, the same day, that it was already ready for pick up. I was in shock so much that I called to make sure that the text wasn't an error. Zips was able to remove a mysterious white paint-like stain in an older blue wool sweater. At first, it resisted cleaning, but Marc and Drae gave it a 2nd treatment and voila, it's gone. This is probably the worst experience I've ever encountered, when dropping off clothes, I was greeted by Martha she was an absolute gem despite it being her second day but the other employee that was there with her was a total (you know what) came in yelling at Martha because she had messed up on a coupon wasn't that big of a deal. I wasn't complaining or upset, second when picking up my clothes, I come home to find shirts are burned or damaged cause by Zips then there was a tag saying they couldn't get out stains because it would of caused damage, I didn't encounter these problems at Different cleaners and I will not be back to zips. I really try my best to NOT give bad reviews. Usually I'll go back 2-3 times before I say anything, unless I'm passing through. So, I was told one thing when I dropped off my comforter, and they told something different when I went to go pick it up a few days later and it wasn't ready. Maybe it was me and I didn't hear them or miscommunication between us. But I was told that I had to wait another week to pick up my comforter. So when it came time to pick it up, I would you call for hours, and would not a get response. Finally, the day of pick up, of course, it's still not ready. I had to wait again to pick my stuff!! To make it worse, they didn't even give it to me clean, they gave it back to worse than when I dropped it off. I would've done it myself, but the problem is that I don't have a washer machine big enough to stuff the comforter in. I'm going to assume the stains are from when they "hang it" to dry. read more

I was absolutely sold on the fact that they had a drop off box and they will email you when your clothes are ready. The speedy in and out service is a plus as well. But that's where it stops... I work in a field where my uniform MUST be crisp and presentable at all times. I dropped my shirts off (long sleeve) and specifically asked for starch and creases. When I picked them up, NO starch and NO creases. Okay... so I sent a very kind email reminding them to PLEASE dont forget the starch and creases. No response was ever received. So...I came back with another load. I asked the front desk associate to please make sure that starch and creases are not left off of the sleeves. She typed it into the computer and actually added it to the receipt that she gave me and ensured me it would be done. I return...and again not 1 crease in the sleeves and very minimal starch. This time I refuse the pick up. The young gentleman behind the counter seemed very apologetic and once again I watched him type exactly what I asked for into the computer and again I was given another receipt stating "Creases In Sleeves". I come back again...and yep you guessed it. NOT ONE CREASE. So basically, they took my shirts back and just rehung them on their rack and waited for my return. But they actually sent me another email telling me that my "garments are ready for pick up". Now this time a gentleman who worked their overheard me speaking with the young lady up front. He informed me that ZIPS does NOT put creases in sleeves for its customers because they are simply a dry cleaning service. Huh? Now I dont blame this gentleman because this may actually be the case. But what kind of dry cleaning service doesnt offer these type of particulars? And why did it take 3 trips for someone to tell me this? When I enquired the dude who jumped out and acted like the manager with a name starting D said no we will not honor that. I did not want them out of business, but honor your price what you publish is what you sell in Virginia. He either knows or chose to ignore it. He immediately took the sign out in front of me. Here's why you should NEVER use this location. SEPT 14,2019 - First time I use them, they lost my clothes. Spent over 40 min in the store waiting for them to find it. I decided to give them a second chance. Bought brand new clothes on a Tuesday. Took it to them on Wednesday morning, picked up in the evening, I had to wear those clothes for a company event on that Thursday. In the morning I notice the shirt that I took to them was still wet. And the part on the shirt that was white, now was stained with blue. They just ruined my morning. Took the shirt back for a re- do on that same Thursday evening. I was informed that I could go and pick up next day, Friday at 5 pm. Got there on a Sunday morning and they said the shirt wasn't ready. They went to look for it and they found it. I took a look on the shirt right on their desk and guess what the shirt that was white was still not white. It was worst. The manager of the time tried to explain that the colors mixed up, and that why it was no longer white. And that's not my problem. So I guess you bring your clothes to that location. And you hope for your clothes to come back the same color and same shape you left. Today is Sept 14,2019 they kept my brand new shirt and they said they were going to cut me a check for the price I paid for the shirt. The check will be available in 30 days. I will be doing another review if that check doesn't come. Don't waste your time using them. Use a local place. They probably have more respect with the customers clothes. UPDATE on my review. Today is 10/24/2019 - After calling them twice, never got a call back, then today the Manager said the owner came, look at my shirt and said that was nothing wrong with it. They Ruined my shirt and they still say that nothing was wrong with it. You know when white is white and when the shirt isn't white anymore you can also see it. If there was a -10 Stars to give to this location I would give a -10. Don't waste your time bringing your clothes to this location! I do NOT recommend it. It is cheap, and you will get what you paid for your money. There is a new Zips Dry Cleaners in the Westgate Plaza Manassas conveniently located with CVS, Giant Food, Barnes & Noble, Total Wine, Virginia ABC and a Panera Bread. I decided to give it a try and have been very pleased that I did. They give you quality dry cleaning that's FAST, cheap, and very customer friendly. Love that there is no minimum purchase using credit/debit cards, and the email transaction receipts and pickup notifications are also really great added value. Recently, I dropped a shirt off for laundering and at the time their credit card machine was down and of course I had no cash on me. To ease the inconvenience of having me return to drop my shirt off, Crystle, behind the counter paid for it out of her pocket. That's great customer service! Thanks again Crystle and Keith. It was a sentimental item of my daughter's that has been damaged by "play slime" and we thought could never be cleaned entirely. These two people not only cleaned it thoroughly themselves, by also got it back to my daughter well ahead of the initial proposed timeline. First time customer coming to bring in a couple of coats I have that have a few stains and before washing it myself I decided to come here to talk to experts and see if they can help me out with my coats, as soon as I came in they were rushing to get my name number and etc. I show the front lady my jackets and she just bluntly was very rude telling me that all they do is wash it and dry it, they can't help me remove any stains, remove any lint on my coat, and they can't guarantee me anything. I don't understand people who work somewhere where good customer service is needed and they are just plain rude. I highly suggest not coming here, they're not professional whatsoever. I expected friendly and caring customer service and all I get is that they can't help me AT ALL, so pretty much saying that I'll be paying for my coats, but I wouldn't get any good results...what sense does that make? I dropped off a skirt to be dry cleaned and pointed out a spot, asking if they could pretreat it to try to get it out. When I went to pick it up, it looked like someone had taken a scrub brush to the skirt. The fibers were completely separated so that you could see all the way through to the skirt liner. The damage was about the size of quarter, and very clearly damaged, not just "eh, it kind of looks weird". I pointed it out to the worker, who took the skirt back and said I would have to call the next day to talk to the manager because he wasn't there. I returned the next day to talk to the manager. He asked if I had the receipt for the skirt purchase and when I replied I didn't since the skirt was 3 or 4 years old, he said they would have to find it online (a 3 or 4 year old skirt? Good luck.) and then they would pro-rate the price of it and the owners would bring in a check in 2 or 3 weeks and he would call me when they did. I told him I'd paid $65 or 70 for it, and I'd be waiting for his call. I stopped in 3 weeks later because I hadn't gotten a call. He asked the same questions, then told me the owners hadn't been in yet, but he could give me store credit instead. Yeah, not happening. 2 and a half MONTHS after I first dropped off the skirt, I still haven't received a call (for several reasons I was unable to go back into the store) and stop back in. The manager asks me the same questions, then I watch him go to the computer in the back, try to look up the skirt, then he calls me back and writes me a check for 70% of the price I had quoted him for the skirt. I finally got my money, but I'm still annoyed that my skirt was damaged and it took so long. I feel like I was being given the run around in the hope that I would forget about it. On May 5th, I took a king size down filled comforter, 3 pair of paints, and a sports jacket. ZIPS dry cleaners lost my comforter, 1 pair of pants, and sports jacket. The crazy thing is that I received an email informing me that my 5 items were ready to be picked up. Any who, after calling the dry cleaners every day, my comforter and pair of pants were found; however, my sports jacket is still missing. The worse part is that the manager will not return my calls. He has not even provided me with a status of what he is doing to locate my jacket. Please keep in mind that I paid to have my lost sports jacket cleaned. Here are the facts: 1.) Paid to have my sports jacket cleaned but it's lost 2.) the manager of the store will not return my calls 3.) the ZIPS corporate franchise office will not return my calls 4.) emails left on the ZIPS corporate site have not been responded to. ZIPS have definitely lost a loyal customer. My last words to ZIPS and their employees...How would you feel? You work hard to pay for nice clothing only to have it lost without any communications. Update. Went to the location on 6/22 and spoke with a manager named Deonte about my clothes that were damaged. As soon as I walked in the customer in front of me was complaining that he received extra clothes mixed in with his which I found odd. While I was speaking with the manager he explained the policy of keeping the clothes and that I would need to bring back proof of how much the clothes cost me. Mind you one of the jackets was over $200 so I said ok no problem I will come back with the clothing and the proof. He then told me no I couldn't take my own clothes out of the store as it is company policy. I then asked if I would get the clothes back if they were unable to pay my full value for the clothes he was noncommittal and proceeded to WALK AWAY!!! He then called me today and asked if I was bringing the items back. I reminded him that he walked away while I was speaking as I had concerns about the refund. He told me he was a "professional" and told me that "you wouldn't leave the clothes so the conversation was over correct?" I told him no it wasn't and since I wasn't getting anywhere with him I would like to speak with the owner. Way to make a bad experience worse. I work in Public Service and the way I was treated is an absolute disgrace to all ZIPS locations. I spend hundreds of dollars a year in dry cleaning at the Liberia location due to my occupation. However I will never go to another ZIPS ever again. read more

This place ruined over $400 of my wife's clothes. Brand new white suit/s and pants and a couple of blouses. All white, most never worn before. We didn't realize it until the items were home and my wife went to wear them one day. They were literally covered in what appeared to be ink or some type of oily substance. They couldn't even explain what it was or how it got all over the clothes. It was all over the outside, inside of her items. We took them back and they wanted to try and remove the stains. They could not. It has been weeks since giving them the opportunity to fix the issue. We were told to bring receipts and or photos of the items online with pricing etc.) That was done two weeks ago and no one called. I had to go back to the location over the weekend to speak with management (who wasn't there), tried to speak with the owner (wasn't there) and tried to get contact information for the owner(they wouldn't). I was told they would be in on Monday 11/05/18. I called and was placed on hold for 20 mins before being hung up on. Then tried to call back over the next hour and no one answered. This entire process has been a joke. Each time we've tried in person to ask for the manager, they either aren't there or they are always in the back and someone goes to speak to them but they don't come out. The one person who did was rude to my wife as if she was the one who damaged her clothes. How would you expect that she not be upset??? Well you had every opportunity to resolve this. Guess we have to take matters into our own hands. Maybe the owner will want to talk in court! read more

I will never go to this cleaners again! Over a year ago, I took about 40 items there to be cleaned. Still have my receipts and waiting for them to return my call and answer the CONTACT US form that I have filled out twice with no response to this day. Supposedly, the manager(DeAndre) was to call me and he never has. Long story short, they lost a skirt to one designer suit that had been worn only once and lost the pants to another designer suit that had only been worn twice. I noticed that 2 items were missing when I picked up my things and told them so they told me to take what I had home and determine which pieces are missing and come back and let them know. I did and left the jackets for both missing pieces so that they would have a better idea of what they were looking for. Gave them at least 2 or more weeks waiting for them to return my call. They never did so I stopped by yet again to inquire about my things. Now they can't find ANY of my things. This place is pure garbage! Now let's see if they call me now. I bet they won't!
