My car shut off while in idle three times. I called the shop and drove it back to them and it shut off three times while driving. I was told by the worker they may have knocked wires loose from the maf while taking out the air filter , which was never requested. I told the guy changing my oil I didn't want anything extra but the oil change. The man at this shop said it was nothing they can do even though nothing was going on with my car prior to me bringing it to them. Now my car will barley make it up the street, its vibrating, shaking, and won't stay running. It stops at every light and while sitting. Then they proceed to " offer" me the option to change the air filter "to see if that helps". Little did I know it was not offered to help rectify the damage they caused because o had to pay an additional $30 on top of the $90 oil change. How convenient To "offer" the one item I originally refused as the fix to the problem. This place is sketchy and damaged my car and won't take accountability. This place deserves zero stars

They tried to just change the oil, but oil had damaged my pistons. The motor had to be replaced. I have photos and the assessment of two different techs who looked at the car. I have sought to contact the store and the district manager multiple times. Was told it would go to corporate who would answer. No one has. Recently I have called the store asking for the district manager's name and number. They "Don't Have It" but will get back with me. No return call. No help. I need to preface that I already called and talked to management, who refused to do anything based on my complaint. I brought in my car on Wednesday, July 30th, as it was misfiring and the CE light was obviously on. It was evening, and I was told they'd check on it the next day when their technicians were in. I didn't hear anything on Thursday - cool, they were busy when I brought my car in. Friday, I didn't hear anything, and I called them during my lunch to check in. My car hadn't been examined yet, but they would check on her right after the next car in line. I didn't hear anything until Sunday (8/3), when I get a call that the spark plugs are fouled. I expected that, so I okayed the repair and was able to pick it up on Monday. The car is still a little rough when idling, but does okay on the drive home. I take a short trip a couple of days later, still shaking but okay. Then on Friday, when taking the second trip since getting my car back, she starts misfiring heavily and the CE light comes back. I bring her in that evening. Two days later I get a call, and the technician's response is that my car needs a "software update", and to take it to the dealership. What? When I took my car into the dealership, it starts misfiring right as I'm checking in, so they obviously want to do a full workup. They find that the ignition coils need replacement, the engine is covered in carbon because of the misfires, and because of this, the new spark plugs were dirty and fouled. When I called this Firestone to see why they had failed to notice the ignition coil and carbon issues, as well as address the fact that the new spark plugs had fouled because of this, the manager I spoke to was insistent that they had done their job. He insisted that the diagnostic codes were spark plug-specific, but the codes on the invoice I was provided point to an issue with the cylinder, not the spark plugs. He insisted that the coils checked out fine, and that they recommended a software update because they couldn't clear the diagnostic codes without the codes coming back immediately. Codes that were coming back, because the engine continued to misfire. Not once did he offer to replace the fouled spark plugs because of Firestone's inability to diagnose and repair the issues with my vehicle, he only defended what their shop did. Important context: I have a car make and model that in the last few years, has become notorious for ignition coil issues. I found this out in-between my visits with this Firestone and the dealership. Not recall-notorious, but enough that a different coil and software update was recommended by the manufacturer. Per the manager, Firestone did not feel the need to ever investigate the ignition coils. I had the dealership clean the carbon and change the ignition coils - lo and behold, the codes are not coming back. I still need to replace the spark plugs and was hoping Firestone would fix this due to their error, but at this point I'm going to replace them myself because Firestone refuses to. They're good with oil changes and breaks - it's why I came back for the engine issue. But for failing to diagnose an engine issue, and make petty excuses to defend themselves, I'm not coming back. Period.

Last time I was there, it was an hour for an oil change at 7:30 on a midweek morning. I can change oil faster than that, and I'm not even particularly good at such things. They will also try to sell you up to things you don't actually need. If you go for something simple like oil or alignment, the shop guys will then tell you that xyz other thing that costs $300 is also broken and then try to bully you into buying it. It may be broken, or it may not be; it may actually cost $300, or it may be more like $150. So do your homework and don't just blindly say yes, especially if you're a clueless-LOOKING female. For these reasons I probably wouldn't recommend getting your inspections done here, since then they actually have some degree of power over you. But for easy stuff like oil, tire rotation, AC recharge, etc, it's a pretty good deal. PS: They have a deal where if you sign up for emails you get a free oil change in your birthday month. It's pretty good, and I always cash in on mine, but if you sign be aware that at least at this location, it may not always be completely free (I've ended up paying between $0 and $10 for it, which I guess just depends on who's running the register that day? Often if I'm getting other work done at the same time they'll discount it by $15 or so, but then I pay the remaining $10, whereas if I only get the oil change it is in fact free. Either way it's still less money than me buying the oil and filter and doing it myself, but just know that there is no such thing as a free lunch).
