Nice ambiance as we sat near the pizza oven. Server was quick to take our drink and food order. Menu has a nice variety of choices. They didn't have the wine on their menu that I wanted, so I settled on the Chianti which was fine. The pour was decent. The garlic's bread with mozzarella was just pizza dough with cheese on it. Not what I expected. I ordered a pasta that had a short rib ragu, but I don't remember the real name. It was good, although very shy on the short rib. My husband had the lasagna and it was super dry. Needed more sauce to make it taste better so that was disappointing. Service was decent. read more

First, this restaurant is just adorable! The most nostalgic decor. Second, the food is phenomenal. The portions are huge... We were wishing we had shared one because we couldn't even eat half of it. The server was just delightful! When we sat down, they gave us this wonderful little snack... On the house. Then after our meal, they gave us a little cup of hot chocolate... Also on the house. Menu is filled with great options and food was delicious, however they were out of a few items on the menu. The restaurant seems to over seat guests with barely any staff which creates long wait times for food and drinks. It's very crowded and you will wait 20 minutes minimum to get a waiter after being seated and another 20 minutes to get your drinks. Definitely recommend ordering off the QR code instead. If there was more staff working, then this restaurant would be 5 stars. I would still recommend going to Zizzi as long as you don't have anywhere to be for the next few hours. read more

Surprisingly delicious thin crust pizzas! We sat outside, which was nice, especially since we could hear some outdoor musicians playing nearby. We had: Margherita pizza - good sauce, the perfect amount of cheese, crispy chewy thin crust Vegan veggie pizza - thin crispy chewy crust w/a good saucy vegan cheese & plops of pesto. Artichokes, broccoli, toasted pine nuts, & these super sweet teensy little bright teardrop shaped red peppers that were not hot at all. Our server was very warm, & clearly working really hard. I don't understand the bad reviews here. Our experience was perfect - the waitress seated us immediately after we got in, unlike the next door Pacino's where servers were MIA. I had wanted to try Zizzi's since it caught my eye on day one of our Dublin visit. So when we finally got in, I came in with low expectations based on the reviews, but honestly the ambience, customer service, and the food was perfect! It was our last night in Dublin and our last night in Europe overall. My fiancee and I had spent the day walking around Dublin. Since COVID was just starting to gain traction, a lot of businesses had started closing. The streets were not really crowded. I wanted something with carbs and pasta came to mind, so we found this place. I believe it is a chain. The interior is pretty modern with wood floors, string lights, and tree trunk columns. It wasn't too busy either since it was around 5:30 pm when we walked in. My fiancee wasn't too hungry so he got a salad (which I think was the chicken & prosciutto salad), and I got the beef brisket and venison tagliatelle with no cheese. It was flavorful, not too gamey, and not too salty. It was also just the right amount of pasta to make you feel just full enough to not want any more pasta but just hungry enough to want dessert. So we got dessert. Again, it's been months since I was here so I don't remember which dessert we got, but luckily, the menu page on the website has pictures of all the dishes so you shouldn't forget what you had. I had the Golden Millionaire's slice for dessert and my fiancee had the chocolate melt. Holy mother of chocolate. Those two desserts were heaven. I would definitely return to this restaurant, for both the food and dessert. read more

Food was horrendous and not prepared as per their description. The lasagna in their pictures looked hearty and appetizing with toasted breadcrumbs topping.... the lasagna I received was a couple slices of pasta with a little bland sauce and a slice of cheese melted over the top. The pizza was a terribly undercooked margarita pie that they didn't even include any fresh basil as advertised. It was also limp, doughy, and uncooked. Stay away from this overrated place. read more

Wait staff was not friendly or almost not cordial. The manager told us we could not sit more than 20 minutes when we didn't even have dessert ordered yet. Food was below average. That would explain why they was the only restaurant without a wait. I have already told friends not to eat there and I definitely will never be back. read more

Extremely disappointed with this place. Ordered lasagna and a Margherita pie with pepperoni. Pizza wasn't even cut for us, cheese is of bad quality, crust sucks bad. Lasagna is bad also. Stopped by for a fast lunch. Was pleasantly surprised. The service was awesome, nice young girls really trying very hard. Wife had a salad and we split a Margarita Pizza. Given a table in the lonesome middle of a less than half full restaurant.....they may as well have put a spotlight on me!! Having ordered food & drink I enquired about the location of their toilets. Upon return, my bottle of warm white wine awaited me with nobody asking if they could pour.....self service it seemed! Eventually, I caught the eye of a waitress who wasn't in the least bothered when I pointed out that my wine was warm & offered me ice as a means of chilling...... this was a €30 bottle I might add. I asked her for the WiFi access to which she replied....." it should connect you automatically......I don't really know" Food itself was basic & not very authentic. Pizza was small & tasted of cream crackers.....very uninspiring & bland. Desert of Tiramasu was of poor 'commercial' standard. Both waiting staff & kitchen need to seriously 'UP' their game as this was a far from satisfying experience. WILL NOT BE RETURNING!!! read more

I've been in several different branches of Zizzi in the UK so I knew what to expect. However, my expectations were misplaced somewhat. I ordered a large pepperoni which was served up pretty swiftly. The topping was tasty and plentiful, the base however was something else. I know I'm in a minority in that I like doughy pizza base whereas the fashion is for very thin bases. However, the base on this pizza was thin to the point of crispiness like a poppadom. I hated it. As I said though, the topping was good, the wine was excellent, service as good and my companion was charming. I'll probably come back but I wish they'd be more generous with the pizza bread. read more

If you go during lunch the lunch menu offers two courses for under €14, which is almost the price of just one pizza for dinner. The service was great as well. The cocktails are pricy but worth it. read more

Ok, so there was a mixup on the food but if possible, I'd give 10 stars. When the mixup was realized, the manager came over and personally apologized. I wasn't upset at all, I've worked in the service industry before so I know mistakes can happen. Manager however still paid for our entire meal and offered to pay for our desserts! We had a great time here! The pizza was great and the desserts were absolutely delicious. 5 of us split the salted caramel brownie and strawberry sundae and I could eat them every day. Very disappointed in my meal. The drinks tasted amazing but the portions of food e.g seasonal mac and cheese bites were too small for the price. The pasta dish with crab , had no flavour of crab whatsoever and still had shell in it. Totally not ok and no worth the price. The servers were polite but the cashier was downright rude and kept implying that we didn't have enough money to pay when it was just the card machine that was not working. I would also like to mention that it's states in their menu that they don't serve stars unless a straw is asked for. This impressed me but the drinks were severed with TWO straws each. So disappointed in this restaurant! Food was a bit better than average price was so expensive for what I got ordered an Italian hot pizza and was around 13€ for it! But this is expensive as in Milanos you would get the pizza and with a starter of choice for €13.
