I got a protein bowl. With a couple of add-ons (including the protein itself), my total was a little over $18. My order was also carry out. After arriving home, the heat of the food caused a hole in the bottom of the cardboard bowl. So a portion of my food was sitting in bag. I tried eating some of it, but then realized I was chewing on literal cardboard, & from there, I just lost my taste for it. If I had paid less than $10, that's one thing. But for the money I paid, I think the containers should hold up better Needless to say, I was not happy with wasting my money on this meal read more

I was one of the first people in when they opened at 11am and the place was very dirty with crumbs and paper on floor and a sticky film on the tables and floor. The food didn't taste fresh--- my falafels had no taste whatsoever with consistency of cardboard. I used to love this place but it's gone downhill. Never again. It was about 45 minutes until closing time. We walked in to a very dour looking group of young people behind the counter. We ordered build-a-bowls, that was a mistake. Should have ordered something else. BTW, they couldn't change a 100 dollar bill. That's a bad sign right there. Both bowls were terrible. Mine was chicken with sweet potatoes, greens and lentils. The sweet potatoes were browned to the point where they were hard as rocks. The greens didn't appear at all. And I asked for additional pita bread and was charged for it but didn't get it. And what I got was only 4 small pieces anyway (half a pita). They have a sauce on the menu called cilantro-lime, which I ordered. There was so much cayenne pepper in it, it was unedible and ruined anything it touched. A true Mediterranian cilantro-lime should not have ANY cayenne in it, especially if it's on a menu and has no "THIS IS HOT" markings by it. My son and I went here for lunch one day last week. We both ordered a build a bowl. He had steak and I had chicken. They were both wonderful. I especially like the Brussels sprouts. The staff are always so nice there. The one thing I will say is they are expensive for a fast food restaurant. You order a build a bowl for $10.99. So you think it's a reasonable price but then everything you put in your bowl is an additional charge. I recommend Zoe's but just be ready to pay for an expensive meal. read more

I used to come here all the time I'm not sure what happened to the quality but consider it gone. This was supposed to be a bowl with brussel sprouts, rice and steak bites. The bowl was half full, the steak had no seasoning whatsoever and there was an insulting amount of rice. I would've taken it back but they were already closed. read more

In the mood for chicken kabobs, we decided to stop by Zoe's. Their menu offers two kabobs with two sides. I opted for rice and upgraded my other side to Greek salad. The food came out fresh and it was just what I wanted, plus very filling. My husband got the steak roll ups. He enjoyed them so much and while the kids originally said no to eating, they asked to split a meal of their own. Lots of seating indoors plus a great patio. We happily chose the patio to enjoy the weather. My reason for the lowered stars has more to do with the upkeep of the space. Regrettably I started my visit with a trip to the bathroom to wash my hands and it was a mess. Someone had spilled a drink all over the floor, the changing table was disgusting and the sink area a mess. It was obvious no one had seen about it for days. The drink station felt that way as well and several dishes were piled up at the trash stations. Three ladies were available behind the counter and had plenty of time to take care of these things in between running orders. I ordered the house favorite bowl, and was terribly disappointed. The food tasted like it was prepared two or three days ago and had been reheated several times. The broccoli was wilted and not a good color, the chicken had flavor, but tasted old, and the rice was yellow, like an artificial color. Subpar quality food. Ordered a to-go order for just myself (side greek salad with chicken and hummus and pita bread) and it took 30 to 40 minutes for me to get it! They need to do a better job of setting up expectations with their customers by telling people how long the wait time would be before a customer orders. When I had been standing there a while, another customer came up and asked about their food and the worker said it's just now being made and "we are stacked up right now." That would've been nice to know before I ordered. I definitely would've gone somewhere else had I known it was going to take 30 to 40 minutes to get a to-go food order. I got an unenthused "sorry for your wait." And that's it...What a joke. It gets worse. I get home and see that they did not include ANY chicken on the salad and it was the wrong dressing. We found this gem while we were looking for something a little more, well, not from the bluegrass state. It was an amazing meal. I had the Harissa chicken with roasted vegetables and Orzo pasta. My son had a shrimp build a bowl with the roasted vegetables and tumeric rice. Best chicken I've ever tasted! The second visit (only a mere 2 or 3 days later I had the roasted lamb with the same veggies and the tumeric rice, and he had the salmon plate with the same sides. My youngest was able to get a grilled cheese as he is a little less adventurous, but he loved it and Ms well as the pita bread! This is our new go to Mediterranean restaurant! read more

Wow! From the moment you come in, the easy going, professional and friendly service starts. Order taken promptly and plates served fast. The menu has many options, do I will come back often and try other entrées. The portions are right on point and above anything I can say, the flavors are out of this world. Needless to mention, very healthy food items as there are a lot of vegetables and a lot of grilling not frying. We have ordered their kabob family meals several times, and we have always been extremely happy with the quality, and quantity, of the food. The menu says "feeds 5-6" people, but 8 adults had very generous servings. The food was hot, well seasoned and was ready at the pickup time selected. Another first. On a Saturday afternoon after lending a hand moving a couple of friends we were famished for a well deserved meal. On suggestion Zoe's came up. Located in the Paddock Shoppes was a cool spot with plenty of seating in additional outdoor patio. Zoe's Mediterranean is a casual restaurant. The menu was vast. Since I've only had Mediterranean a couple times before I let my friends order several entrees to share. Also there as a huge variety of vegan entrees. After ordering we were given a number and cups for our drinks. Seat yourself so we found a great patio table with plenty of shade. The table and chair are comfortable. At Zoe's your food was brought to your table. On to the food. We had three different entree's with many delicious sides. Moroccan Chicken Paidina with a zesty Harrisa sauce with a side of delicious marinated slaw. Chicken kabobs grilled with peppers onions and cherry tomatoes. Quinoa Salad mixed greens with carrots, cabbage, green onions, red peppers, tomatoes and crumbled feta. We also order the side potato salad. All delicious! Easy ordering Plenty of lot parking. We stopped at Zoe's after several hours of running errands on a Saturday and had a wonderful lunch outside. I really enjoyed the chicken kabobs, roasted vegetables, and lemon tahini sauce; I probably wouldn't order the cauliflower rice (served cold) again. My husband really liked his falafel sandwich but probably wouldn't order the corn salad side (served cold) again. The food was fresh and prepared quickly. There was plenty of shade on the patio to keep it comfortable even in the summer. It is nice to have a healthy, fast option in the area for lunch! read more

Unfortunately they were more concerned with closing the store than serving warm soup or caring about customer service. I like hot soup and this cup was barely warm. They had nothing to heat it up in when I asked and argued with me. I try not to leave bad reviews, but it's important to be honest. I stood there for about 5 min waiting for my food that was up while the store manager was putting chairs away. I stopped by about 30 min before close. I wish they cared more. Came to Zoe's a few weeks ago and forgot to complete my review. I had the lunch gyro with a side Greek salad. The food was okay but I wasn't impressed with the service. I hadn't been to Zoe's and I asked if my lunch meal came with a drink and the kid said yes and I asked if I could get a Greek salad as my side and he said yes, I then asked for my dressing to be on the salad and he said not a problem. Turns out the salad is a up-charge for a side, he did not tell me this. When I got home my salad had 0 dressing on it and none in my bag and I was charged for a drink even though he said it came with one. Not sure I will be returning to Zoe's kitchen or at least this location for awhile. read more

Dang, such a disappointment. Zoe's used to be my wife's favorite place to grab a meal. We have ordered food from them quite a few times at every location they've had (downtown, Lexington Ave, and Paddock). She lived the chicken kabobs and vegetables, and I was a huge fan of their lamb pita. We neve deviated from these options and had great food until the last two times. Maybe they changed suppliers or recipes, but it's just not the same. The lamb has that gamey taste and way to much cheese. The kabobs have little flavor. The vegetables seem greasy and taste awful. We the our food away and can't see ourselves returning. The only thing I'm interested in now is a refund. We are quite frustrated and wish they could get back to their original results. For now, I will be going to Addi's downtown. It's a little out of the way but has always been consistent and great quality. read more

When we moved to Louisville earlier this year we'd never even heard of Zoe's. That being said, it is now one of our favorite places to eat. The Mediterranean/Greek offerings are very welcome in a landscape of burgers, sub shops, chicken eateries, and Mexican cuisine. Not that those are bad....it's just nice to get a break from that kind of thing once in a while. We've been to this location 3 or 4 times, usually on a Friday afternoon/evening. The staff is usually busy hustling, and we tend to arrive shortly before the dinner rush starts. We've never had to wait in line, but we have had to suffer through "it's Friday, let's put a trainee on the register!" a time or two. That's OK, though. Everyone has to learn their job somehow. It just takes some patience for the person on *this* side of the counter. The menu is huge and takes a bit of reading and understanding to know what you're getting. We started off with the Hummus Trio, which is AMAZINGLY good. In our visits I've had the Rosemary Ham & Mozzarella Piadina (more or less a grilled pita sandwich), the Mediterranean Chicken (my favorite entree so far), and the Steak Stack. All were very good. I always order mine with the Greek salad and use the Greek dressing that's available on the tables. You have to check out all the tables because some bottles of the Greek dressing have various oil-to-vinegar ratios. Food delivery times are pretty decent, and we usually get ours in 10-15 minutes, and have never had a problem with an order. Side note #1: the Greek Dressing is made on premises, and is quite possibly my absolute favorite salad dressing....ever. Side note #2: They don't deliver silverware when your food is delivered. It's by the drink station. If you do like I did and go "Snap! I forgot silverware", they'll go get it for you. The decor is very colorful, slanting towards the green, oranges, and reds. The chairs are molded orange plastic, and this location also has booths and tall tables (which we prefer). There is also outside seating near a fountain at this location, which is a nice touche. In our visits this location is usually very clean. Since the staff cleans the tables and you don't there are times when they're so busy that the table cleaning may get behind. The staff is generally friendly and helpful. We're glad we've discovered Zoe's kitchen. When we can't decide where to go, this place is usually the winner. read more

I recently went to Zoe's Kitchen for lunch and then returned later in the week because I was so impressed by the first experience! My wife and I had decided to do Whole30 and when we researched compliant food, Zoe's was at the top of the list. Not everything on their menu is Whole30 compliant, but they do offer a menu that's exclusively tailored to Whole30 food, which is super helpful! This wasn't just grazing on a salad and some bland unseasoned meat and veggies - this was substantial, flavorful, compliant food! I had the shrimp and salmon skewers, grilled potato salad, and roasted vegetables. Everything was seasoned and flavored so well, and the Italian salsa verde sauce was a delicious component as well! The portions were big and definitely filled me up, which was rare during my Whole30 experience. Overall this was a game-changer to our Whole30 diets and a great change of pace. Even though Whole30 ended, we'll still be making plans to return to Zoe's Kitchen! read more

Have eaten here twice recently. Only returned because the food is good, but after yesterday's experience I won't be back. The restaurant is dirty with trash overflowing on to the floor which should have been a red flag. Service is abysmal. Three young girls were running the show. We placed our order and our credit card was swiped when the cashier was reminded by another employee that they were out of what I ordered. So we had to repeat all the orders to the cashier, who seemed to be brand new to most things. My husband and teenager were annoyed when the food was served because their entrées didn't have vegetables even though the menu says they come with a variety of vegetables. My husband told the food runner as much. All 3 girls came to our table in a confrontational manner to tell us there are no vegetables served with the entrees. My husband pulled out the printed in-store menu, read the description, and one of the girls told my husband that the menu is wrong. Honestly the whole experience was just bizarre. I stopped in on my way home from work and had done an online order with a timed pick up. The menu is extensive--lots of fresh healthy options for any dietary need. I ordered the falafel pita with hummus and it was overall just okay. The falafel was dry and the hummus was a bit more liquid-y than I'm used to (like the general salsa on the table at a Mexican restaurant type of consistency). The food also seemed like it had been ready for a while before I arrived (right on time) and I ate it in my car once I grabbed my bag. The flavor was fabulous so I'll be giving another try and possibly trying a cold dish instead. The employees were so friendly and while I never walked to the counter they greeted me as I grabbed the bag and told me to have a nice day and seemed generally happy and in good spirits! read more

I've had both dine-in and carry-out/catering from Zoe's and have been pleased with both dining situations. The place gets crowded for lunch and dinner, and while service remains pretty punctual, it can be difficult to find a table (seat yourself, take a number for your order, they bring the food, they clean up). I haven't tried anything on the menu yet that I haven't liked. Tomato Basil and Chicken Orzo soup are both good, shrimp salad is delicious, and the white beans, potato salad, or slaw are my favorites as far as side dishes go. One year we catered food for the holidays, including the Shrimp Kabobs, Greek Chicken Marinara, and Veggie Pita Pizza. All were delicious. read more

If one of your New Years resolutions is to eat healthier, Zoës is a good place to start. The restaurant is clean and spacious, with lots of seating options. You order, at the counter. There are menus, to look over, if you don't like ordering from a board. There are a lot of choices, so I like the menu. Recently, I had the salmon kabob, with the sauce that is recommended, on the menu. It was a good combination. The salmon was delicious. All of the vegetables, on my kabob, and the roasted vegetables side dish, tasted fresh. The food was brought out, pretty quickly. I had their limeade. It was delicious. I used to be a big Sonic Cherry Limeade fan. There is no comparison. Zoës limeade does not need cherries. read more

Where to begin. Arrived for lunch. Service was slow. Girl at the counter seemed more interested in delivery orders then the person standing in front of her. Guy from the kitchen was rude. No hair or beard restraint. Restrooms were dirty. Tables were sticky. Soft drink counter was gross, complete with cobwebs, flies and a sour smell. Yuck. How they passed an inspection is beyond me! Last night my mom and I stopped in for a quick dinner. The restaurant was clean and quiet. You ordered at the counter with a friendly staff member and they will bring your food to your table. I noticed they sell some beer and wine , which is nice. I ordered the Gruben sandwich a d turmeric rice. It was a bit bland, 3 star meal. My mom ordered the steak kabob with greek salad and rice. Her meal was top notch, 5 stars forsure. The meat was cooked to perfection and the Tzatziki sauce to dip it in was a nice touch. My daughter and I went in to Zoes Kitchen at the Paddock this evening at 7:30. There were people still seated at tables upon our arrival. We approached the counter when a women with dirty blond hair pulled in a ponytail asked us if our order was for here or to go. We both stated "here". Dirty blond ponytail woman then abruptly said "NAME". My daughter started to give her a name when she RUDELY and ABRUPTLY interrupted her and said "well it's 7:30 and we close at 8 so it's going to have to be to go". Alrighty then. It was at that point I should have let dirty blond ponytail woman know we had zero intentions of eating multiple courses and/or killing time sipping on Pinot Noir. My daughter and I looked at each other and as hard as I tried to let her know I wanted to roll she began to place her order when she was once again RUDELY interrupted by dirty blond ponytail woman harshly saying "NAME" again! It was at this point I called my daughter's name under my breath however she proceeded to give our name and place her salad order. She looked back to me but I passed on placing an order and left the restaurant. On the ride home my daughter said while waiting for the order she realized she forgot to ask for chicken on her salad and chose not to add it on after the terrible experience with dirty blond ponytail woman. She tried or get her name was but unable to do so. I have never loved the food there but my daughter and my husband do like it and we've never had such a terrible experience before hence the two stars instead of one. There are too many restaurants in need of my business in this difficult time so I won't be be returning to Zoes. read more

I think Zoe's is a step above all of the other fast casual Mediterranean restaurants. I love that they have a menu that is workable for all diets and that they have Whole30 approved items. I love the spicy chicken kabobs with grilled potato salad and a greek salad. But I think the sauces and hummus put Zoe's above its competitors. I really like the regular hummus and the basil pesto hummus, as well as their harissa sauce (much spicier than I expected!) and the lemon tahini. I've been trying to eat healthier lately, and Zoe's has become one of my go-tos for healthy takeout. They also have online ordering and menu options are customizable, which is always a plus for me! read more
