I've been craving chicken salad for weeks, and this place has totally hit the spot every time. I'm also always a little skeptical trying a new chicken salad because I'm weird about texture, but this passed with flying colors. No strange bites, no weird texture issues, just fresh, flavorful, delicious chicken salad. Super easy online ordering too. 3/4/2026 Chicken Salad Chick-Middletown Tonight 12 of us from Swan Pointe HOA went to Chicken Salad Chick to have dinner. It reminds me of the inside of a house. I really love the atmosphere! The restaurant is just so clean and bright. They have a drive-thru, carry out or a dine in. Mason was our cashier and was just so helpful and pleasant. She was very good at getting all of us through the line and seated. Our food was delivered to our table very quickly. There were so many choices to make. They had 12+ types of Chicken Salads, 4 salads, Mac 'n Cheese and 3-4 kinds of soup. There's Chips and Desserts. There's a Kid's Menu and they do catering. I had the Fancy Nancy Scoop and Fruit. My husband had the Fancy Nancy Scoop and a Kelly Scoop and a cup of Tomato Bisque. We really liked our meal and our friends really enjoyed their food as well. Hubby and I finally got around to trying Chicken Salad Chick in Middletown. There are 13 types of chicken salad from which to choose that include offerings in the categories of savory, spicy, fruity/nutty, and traditional. I opted for a scoop of 'Lauryn's Lemon Basil' from the 'savory' category. It was delicious, but could have had a bit more basil. It was advertised as having pecans, but there were no pecans in mine. I got a side of the broccoli salad and it was very good. The meal included a small buttercream-iced cookie and a dill pickle strip. The cost was $9.99 for the meal, which seems expensive, but is in line with adult burger meals at most fast-food places. Of note, we were also charged for water (not bottled). The restaurant was extremely clean, including the drink station (a dirty drink station is a pet peeve of mine!). Tables were wiped down immediately after being vacated and someone came by and took our empty plates. We had wanted to eat outside and enjoy the beautiful day, but the 3 outdoor tables were literally 6 feet away from the drive through traffic and between people staring at us and the smell of exhaust fumes, we quickly got up and went back inside to eat! It was a very poor design choice to place dining tables that close to vehicles! Accessing the restaurant and navigating the parking is quite a feat. It is a dangerous left into the restaurant when approached from the old Middletown direction. When leaving the restaurant, be assured someone in front of you will take forever attempting to make a left across all lanes of Shelbyville Road (again, a very dangerous move)! The convenience and switch up from burgers will definitely have me returning, despite a few kinks! read more

We picked up takeout from the recently opened Chicken Salad Chick located in Middletown. I opted for a trio with a pimento cheese BLT and scoop of chicken salad. The combo being called a trio was confusing - I'm still not sure what the third item is, but finally settled on the miniature sugar cookie with buttercream icing. Of the full meal I enjoyed my side of broccoli salad and wished I had more of it. The sandwich included a large amount of pimento cheese but its taste was too subtle. The bacon also got lost, making it a bit boring. My scoop turned out to not be what I ordered. I asked for the Classic Carole but received a spicy version with jalapeño. Too much and unappetizing. Our overall meal was disappointing. I'm unsure if we'll be back, at least for a while. read more

We're generally eat local type of diners, but with all the hype surrounding Chicken Salad Chick, we had to give it go. It's not really in our neck of the woods (we need one in the Highlands!) but we were in Middletown for a doctor appointment this afternoon and stopped by. The service was extra friendly. It's like fast food, but with exceptional service and not feeling like garbage after you eat it. I ordered Lauryn's Lemon Basil. It was described as their brightest flavor featuring chopped pecans, fresh basil, & lemon on wheat bread with lettuce and tomato. I had a side of loaded potato soup. I added mac and cheese for my one year old. It was elbow macaroni in a creamy sauce made with a three cheese blend and a touch of spice. The cookie and the pickles were a nice touch. My husband had Kickin' Kay Lynne. This flavor powerhouse is a combination of buffalo sauce, ranch, bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, jalapeños, & Sriracha. He chose to have it on a croissant, with a side of broccoli salad-fresh broccoli florets tossed in a sweet vinegar-based dressing with shredded mozzarella & cheddar cheeses, topped with crispy bacon. He added pasta salad- tri-color rotini pasta in an Italian-based dressing with feta & parmesan cheeses, black olives, & artichoke hearts. The pasta salad was for our other toddler. The loaded potato soup was delicious. My chicken salad was savory. My husband's had a kick of spice, but nothing too wild. The choices of sides were excellent. A pick three combination was perfect for feeding our little ones too. I do prefer to spread enthusiasm for smaller businesses, but I'm not going to downplay how good this was. Chicken Salad Chick - the front of a restaurant - Southern Near Me - Louisville, Kentucky

We finally made it to this location of Chicken Salad Chick. We've been to the location in Jeffersonville a few times and liked it, but this was our first shot at the new location. Getting in and out of this parking lot is probably the biggest challenge you'll face. The driveway isn't well-marked and coming down Shelbyville from Hurstbourne it's VERY easy to miss the not-clearly-marked IN driveway and I did, in fact miss it ... twice. Once inside the décor is like the other locations we've been to. We don't frequent Chicken Salad Chick often enough to have a favorite, so we look at the menu board. I usually go to the Jalapeño Holly sandwich "toasted" on white bread. My wife gets a scoop of whatever sounds good at the time. This time I opted for mac-and-cheese as my side. "Toasted" is a pretty broad and largely inaccurate word in this case. I sincerely doubt they actually toast the bread in the store. Only the outside sides of the bread were "toasted". This inside (facing the chicken salad) was as white and un-toasted as a slice of bread could be. It was also very not-hot. In fact, rather cool to the touch. The Jalapeño Holly wasn't bad. A bit on the dry side and I had to keep reminding myself of the 'jalapeño' part because you could barely taste it. The side (mac-and-cheese) was pretty unremarkable. I don't know that I've tried all four of the sides yet, but the mac-and-cheese is better than the pasta salad, which is as generic as it could be. The staff always keeps busy and are quite pleasant. It took less than ten minutes to get our orders, and tables were cleaned almost immediately. I was actually quite impressed with the upkeep on the drink station. Quite often drink stations are overlooked, but the staff did a great job keeping it very clean. After we were done we had to get out of the parking lot. Once again, not easy because, while the OUT driveways were clearly marked, they had a cone in the middle. I knew better than to try to turn left out onto Shelbyville so I went right and turned around. I can see where it could easily back up those trying to leave if someone is determined to make that left turn. All in all, a pretty good experience. The engineer who did the parking lot layout should never be in charge of laying out a parking lot again, but everything else went great! read more

I didn't even know I needed this place. haha. Was looking for a lunch choice one day but wasn't sure what I wanted. Started searching my area to see what sounded good. This place popped up and I chose it since it was new and I hadn't had it before. I placed my order online for carry out. When I arrived, the parking lot was full and I thought "oh my... thank goodness I ordered online but it's super busy"; however, inside had no line but was full of diners. I walked in and was politely greeted by a lady that advised where my To Go order was. I grabbed it and was out the door in seconds. Since this place has a drive through and a small In and Out parking lot (meaning, one entrance in, another out), they have cones leading the cars in the right path... which was perfect as it kept it easy and no back-ups to the main highway. I ordered the Cranberry Kelli chicken salad and a side of chicken & dumplings soup. Both were delicious. My order was served with no shortage of crackers, a pickle, and a cookie. read more

Louisville finally has a Chicken Salad Chick!!! I have been obsessed with this chain since I first encountered it in Alabama 10 years ago. I am so glad to finally have one up the street! In my opinion, you can't go wrong with any of the chicken salad flavors here - I recommend sampling them before making a commitment to a large quantity though - love that they allow this. My favorite flavors are fancy nancy, fruity Fran, Olivia's old south, and cranberry Kelli. For sides, I highly recommend the grape salad! Not super impressed with the broccoli salad. Note that there are also non chicken salad options (pimento cheese, egg salad, regular sandwiches). You can get sandwiches, scoops, or buy a big tub of a certain flavor. Note that the Chick meal or trio always comes with a little cookie which is delicious. This location is new, so they are still working out the kinks, but when I went the second day they were open at lunchtime, we got our food quickly and our orders were correct and delicious! Note that they are always closed on Sundays. I recommend downloading the app and scanning all your receipts in to earn points and get free food/merch. read more

The Buffalo Barclay is reminiscent of my favorite hot sauce (Frank's!) with the creamy texture of chicken salad that I crave. The side of pasta salad was really good, and the side of macaroni tasted homemade! And your meal comes with a perfectly-sized sugar cookie treat. I ordered a bowl instead of a cup which was a great decision to make. I chose the sassy scotty chicken salad as a side and it was pretty good. I mean its hard to go wrong when you make something out of chicken. Chicken usually taste good no matter how you make it. You get a Ice cream sized scoop of chicken salad. My wife ordered the sassy scott, with a side of Chicken Poblano soup, she loved it! We tried the broccoli salad, it was very good. We also tried the pasta salad, it was dry and missing flavor. They need to add a little dressing to it every now and then to keep it from going dry and flavorless . Those tiny little cookies they give you with your meal? I could eat my weight in those things! So excited we have a Chicken Salad Chick location in Louisville, and even more excited that it's in my neighborhood! This is a great option when you don't want fried food, and prefer a soup and sandwich type of place. I love that they have an open cold case where you can pick up small and large containers of chicken salad and pimento cheese to go. Very convenient to make lunches at home during the week. I ordered the combo which was a sandwich, side and drink. Asked for toasted wheatberry bread with Fruity Fran chicken salad and broccoli salad as my side. Also picked up containers of Fancy Nancy and Classic Carol. I love that they have strawberry lemonade as I like to combine that with sweet tea. And the mini cookies are a nice little treat. They'll tell you that you could get a scoop of chicken salad but charge you the same price and half the time I go in there and get soup which they offer loaded potato soup daily. Highly recommend visiting Chicken Salad Chicks new location. The environment is a fun, casual, and clean dining experience. The classic carol comes on fluffy tasty bread and has wonderful classic chicken salad on it. The potato soup is served on Fridays and was tasty. I went to a fast food place the other day and for a sandwich, fries, and drink and not great food and it was $11.30. REALLY rude! I made a yelp account to write this. Ordered ahead, didn't see it on the pick-up shelf so I asked at the register, 3 staff members asked me the name 3 different times as if I was wrong, all were rather rude and entirely unhelpful, and then simply assumed I must have had the wrong location and walked away. I verified the name and location, they verified they received the order, 20 minutes prior. She said "That's been picked up" and silently walked away, again. I had to approach them ~again~ and said, "well it was not picked up by me." (pretty obviously never seen me before as this was my first time ever ordering or stepping foot in the building). Still no plan of action or help was spoken and they walked off again. So I then said "Well can you re-make it?" She said "well this is all it was" and grabbed a bag for the order & then handed it over. She left me only with a "it was picked up. this is just very odd" while shaking her head. I was made to feel like I was either being accused of lying or in trouble for their mistake, no apologies ever given, only dirty looks and subsequent rude remarks. Hope you don't treat all your customers that way and I certainly won't be back to find out. read more
