When I arrived, the first woman I spoke with was very kind and understanding\. Unfortunately, the experience changed completely when another employee came out and told me that the reservation was actually for a massage\. I explained that I had not intended to book a massage and that it must have been a mistake\. I also explained that I was not feeling well and could not have a massage because I am currently injured\. I simply asked if there was anything they could do, especially since I had driven an hour to get there\. Instead of trying to help or find a solution, the woman repeatedly told me, "It was your mistake," and said that because the massage therapist was already there, I would have to be charged\. When I asked if I could speak with a manager, she told me that she was the manager\. What upset me the most was not the reservation mistake\. Mistakes happen\. It was the complete lack of empathy and the way I was spoken to\. I was already anxious and explained that I wasn't feeling well, yet I was repeatedly told that it was my fault and that nothing could be done\. When I finally left, she said, "Try to have a good day, ma'am," in a tone that felt very sarcastic and dismissive\. I understand that businesses have policies, and I understand that reservations can be made incorrectly\. But customer service and empathy matter, especially when someone is explaining that they made an honest mistake, drove an hour to your business, and is physically unable to receive the service that was accidentally booked\. Unfortunately, because of the way this situation was handled, I left feeling very uncomfortable, discriminated and disappointed\. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because a little kindness and understanding could have made a completely different experience. people just don't know the difficulties or challenges that peopl might be facing certain moments.

My group of 3 has tried to set up spa days at Asante multiple times, and it is always very difficult to schedule. Asante just does not have the ability to accommodate groups. The spa manager, Tracy, is rude and unpleasant to deal with on the phone. We kept going to Asante, because the massages and facials were always great. Our last visit was the final straw. We had two derma plane facials and one massage scheduled. Tracy had to call to change the time of our spa services because they had an esthetician leave and had to schedule one facial with a new esthetician. The facial type was NEVER mentioned during this call, only the time change. When we arrived on the day of our spa services, the esthetician was not certified to do a derma plane facial. This was a surprise to us, and when questioned the esthetician brought in Tracy, the spa manager, to help figure it out. Tracy came into the room with a very negative attitude right away. She insisted she did tell us about the facial type changing during the phone call. She was unnecessarily aggressive and rude. She offered no apologies or willingness to figure out the situation; she simply wanted to argue that we were told about the change. A different type of facial was not a huge problem; we were just surprised about the change and had never been informed. The esthetician provided great service and was apologetic over the situation. When we were ready to pay, Tracy was at the desk. She did end up giving the facial free. Again, she was not friendly, or apologetic. Her exact words were "I'm not going to make you pay for a service you didn't want," with the same aggressive tone. Tracy's approach to the situation was just bad overall. Tracy is not someone who should be the face of a high-end spa like Asante. She has really given us a negative impression of Asante.

I was booked for the wrong treatment by one of them. She also interjected herself into a conversation that didn't include her in addition to other instances of unprofessionalism. Then something happened where I asked my beauty bank payment ($350 per month) to be pulled and applied to my treatment at my appt. Then the system is texting me all weekend saying my payment won't go through. I literally had an emailed receipt showing I paid it. Then the same mgr can't be bothered to call me for four days and when she does it's to tell me to go elsewhere because of how I chose to communicate on the phone when I'm offended that I'm being asked to supply proof of payment. Yes I swore. So? I was upset and being accused of something that was not my fault. Now my Esti will be the one to miss out. Wild that Shawna doesn't value loyal clientele who she personally used to work on and could have been making so much money on. I will gladly take my money somewhere where I don't have to deal with all of this crap and people are properly trained and customer service is a top priority. This is not the same company since the merge and the fact that you couldn't even give a warning before nixing a nearly 10 yr client is outrageous.

We greatly appreciate the explanation with the appointment system and the willingness to get my hubs back on the schedule for the massage he signed up for. My hubs was hesitant to come back after his last session and especially after my review (he didn't know I was writing) but Elena & Jennifer helped him feel at ease of coming back and making it extremely flexible to rebook an appointment to come back in. Hubs went back to get the much needed deep pressure massage from Jennifer at The Spa Simply Skin. Both Elena and Jennifer were present to greet him. The ambiance of the room was serene as it was before. He keeps telling me about the nice Buddha in the massage room. Jennifer asked if the headrest area was ok was comfortable this time before proceeding. This time she asked about the massage pressure and if it was firm enough. She worked on getting his knots out which was greatly needed. She used a tool on his hands up/down his forearm that he said made him feel really good. He does repetitive work with his hands (handy electrician) and this helped relieve tension.
