We were curious about this place so we decided to try it for dinner last night. When you walk in it feels like you are in someone's cottage. The decor gives it a homey feeling which fits perfectly with their menu. My fiancé and I kept going back and forth between what to get because there are so many great options. I ended up getting the Big Fat Greek Burger and was so happy with my decision. I've never had a burger like this before and I am hooked. I LOVE Greek salad and combining it with a burger made it that much better. For my side I ordered the coleslaw which was good, not as creamy as I like but still good. My fiancé ordered the otter creek beer (can't remember which) and the Holy Moly burger no coleslaw. The name of this burger is so accurate, when they brought the burger to the table we both said holy moly. This burger is so large I don't know how he ate it. There's three generously sized onion rings on top of the burger with cheese and their chipotle special sauce. The burger was delicious and so big he couldn't even finish it. These may have been the best burgers I have had/ seen in a while. They're delicious and generously sized and you won't be disappointed. In my opinion, if you're looking for a great burger you should definitely try this restaurant. read more

I visited this restaurant with family in December to see a Twisted Pine show. The background music playing was really nice Christmas music. I had the shrimp scampi, and it was very good, and then I had the Nuns of New Skete Cheesecake, and it was also very good. The service was very good, and it was overall a great experience. read more

Tasty place to go on your way to Stratton Mountain Resort. First of all, it's half the price of the restaurants in the resort's village and the food is 10x better than what you can get up there. The burgers were to die for. The crispy onion rings were yummy. The drinks were limited and the shrimp cocktail was 6 medium shrimp (no way jumbo) served flat on a salad plate. Wish you could give stars for food and stars for service. Food is a solid 3.5 but the service was horrible. We waited 10 minutes to even be greeted. When we were he server wanted to take out drink order and out dinner order all at once. We wanted drinks and apps to start. She brought drinks, took dinner order and that was the last we saw of her for the night. A busboy brought our burgers. Never offered condiments but we flagged him down for catsup. Server never came back to check on us. Busboy came back 20 minutes later to collect our empty plates. Asked to speak to the manager about service. She offered no explanation just an awkward "sorry". Zoey's is likely my new go-to spot in Southern VT. Their friendly service and authentic wholesome food really won me over. Whether it was being accommodated with a preparation of a dinner item (mac+cheese) during lunch hours, tasty open-faced sandwiches and burgers, or (appropriately)-attentive service, I never thought I was being overcharged or short-changed at all, as my entire group left full and satisfied. We have eaten at Zoeys over the last few years when we visit Manchester each December. Our meals were always good, enough so that we returned each year. But I have to say our meal last night was absolutely delicious. We decided to order a cheeseburger and the Mac n cheese with bacon and split it. We were not disappointed! The burger was cooked as we asked (medium), a nice, thick patty with Vermont cheddar plus a stack of lettuce, tomato and onion. oh yea the homemade potato chips rocked too! Now the Mac n cheese was a level above! Didn't expect it to be so creamy on the inside with a nice crunchy topping. The bacon took it to the next level! The two dishes were just perfect together and so delicious! Clean plates all around! I even feel the hostess was super friendly and very attentive to the busy dining room. Our waiter, who was super busy, was absent quite a bit from the dining room. We did wait a while for a drink refill, hence 4 stars. One of servers or manager, not sure of his job, but he was hustling serving meals to customers. He was courteous and served with a smile and he was very tall! I've been to Zoey's a couple of times now and recommend it as a lovely lunch/dinner stop if you're traveling along Route 7 in Vermont. Zoey's is conveniently located a couple of minutes from the highway, and the setting is really beautiful especially in the warmer months when their garden is in bloom. Sit on the patio and admire the view while you eat! I highly recommend the entree salads and the desserts. The Greek burger was just alright -- an interesting idea, but lacking in flavor. (Looks like other reviewers really like the burgers here, so maybe this was just a fluke.) read more

It's unusual to find a restaurant that does seared tuna as well as it does burgers, but this place managed it. Menu is VERY moderately priced (really, where can you get wine, appetizers, entrees, dessert and coffee for $60?? Nowhere I've ever lived, I'll tell you that.), and everything we had was seriously delicious. The wine selection leaves much to be desired, but really, who can complain when they bill themselves as "country food." Service was a little odd- not rude, just, well- "odd." Like where you think to yourself, "Hey, not all of us have natural charm, I get it, but can you please stop being so damn awkward?" Seriously though , stop here next time you're in town. This place is the slowest and most overrated place in the area. The sandwiches are fine, not delicious or anything, too much bread. And there's basically little else. Sometimes the presentation is interesting, but the waits are enormous and the waitresses are irritated and unhelpful. We tried stopping by for lunch, were told 20 minutes, 30 minutes later we were seated and then 15 minutes after that still didn't have menus or any attention. Went here with my friend and our 13 year old boys over the holidays and was blown away. From the road I thought it was a highway diner, but once inside, it has a quaint enough feel. We both work in NYC and can be a bit particular, but there was nothing we ate that we did not go crazy about. The calimari had slightly spicey peppers mixed-in that added a great twist, onion rings were huge and delicious. The other review rave about the burger and agree it is terrific, but the chicken pot pie was the true winner. We were suspect of having fish at a Vt restaurant, but they explained that they get their fish daily from the Boston fish market and the salmon was superb. Deserts were similarly great and the boys loved the ginger beer. Our waitress Emily could not have been nicer or more knowlegeable. Gave us great direction on our choices and was a pleasure. The Granny Melt is my go to sandwich when I visit the double hex. The hamburgers here are tremendous! But the combination of ham, apples, and honey mustard on the granny melt can not be beat. The double hex has a great covered, screened in deck which is a great place to sit and eat in the nice weather. Service can be a little slow at times, but such is life in Vermont! If you don't want to sit for a restaurant meal consider visiting Zoe's Deli down the street to grab a sandwich to lunch. read more

One of our favorite family-focused restaurants in town. When we all want to eat out in Manchester this is where we go. Very friendly restaurant for locals and visitors alike. High quality food at reasonable prices and 've never had a complaint in 10+ years. Big enough menu that everyone is happy but I'm partial to the grilled salmon or fish taco salads. We especially love the meatloaf in winter and kids can't leave without a huge brownie sundae. It can get very busy on weekend nights so arrive early, have a little patience, and leave the negatives in the car as you won't get any from the staff. read more

The wife and I ate lunch at Zoey's Double Hex today after reading Yelp reviews. The facility is easy for an out of towner to find, and they have a very nice large parking lot. We started out with a bowl of their clam/corn chowder and it was real tasty. Then the wife had a traditional Ruben sandwich and homemade chips and I had their footling hotdog and homemade chips. The wife's Ruben was very good, my hotdog less then ok, and the chips ok. So, how did we rate our experience? The chowder was very good and gets a 4. The Ruben was real good and gets a 5. The hotdog was forgettable and gets a 2. The chips ok and get a 3. The facility was very nice and gets a 4. The waitress was good and gets a 4. The value gets a 3 because of the $9 sub-par hotdog. My husband and I were looking for a homecooked style place to have a meal after being on the road for a few days and we found just what we were looking for. We were to early for the dinner menu and settled on the lunch offerings, choosing delicious burgers ,many ways to have them prepared. I had the fried crispy onion with swiss cheese on a tasty bun. Seasoned fries and garnish of lettuce ,tomato and red onion. Oh a pickle too! We had prompt service. a cheerful ,clean and cozy place that I would revisit.
