I wish I lived in Spokane I would be at Zola's as much as possible. Cool atmosphere comfortable and clean. The service is fantastic Sheldon was our bartender he was friendly and welcoming. We order a smash burger which was AMAZING simple and delicious. Also, a Jimi Hendrix elevated gin, infused basil lime juice, cucumber, sour, sour and simple syrup. One of the best gin drinks I have ever had.

We love coming to Zola for happy hour -- definitely the best in town from 4-7 PM! The menu is great, the live music is always fun, and the atmosphere is perfect. Taijah takes the best care of us as always -- so welcoming, polite, and attentive. Amazing food, drinks, and customer service every time!

After reading Yelp reviews, I decided to give this place a try while in town for work. I came in during happy hour after some long flights over, and I am so glad I did. I was worried about the hipster vibe a bit because I like really authentic places, but this place is truly a great place to visit. The bartender Sheldon was great with recommendations for food and brews. The Happy Hour here is no joke, and I get why it is so highly rated. You get live music while enjoying select delicious bites and draft beer for a great price. I originally ordered the Fried Olives, but it was suggested to do the Hummus Plate with the Fried Olives as an add on - incredible suggestion and a huge platter of good food! The beers here are a good selection between IPAs and Ambers, but there is no flight to try the selection. The bartenders can and do make pretty much any other cocktail suggested, and many others did the happy hour of a beer and shot for $8 option. The live music during Happy Hour was truly great! Many original songs and good talent with Eric Kegly. I also made conversation with some locals and the bartenders - all of whom were welcoming and kind with great local suggestions. The decor is fun and eclectic with great indoor and outdoor seating options. If I come back to Spokane, this location is definitely on the list.

I stopped by on a Thursday night just after happy hour around 630p as it was conveniently right next to my hotel. It was pretty quiet, with only a few patrons. I ordered take out from the bar, which took a bit longer than usual as they were in the middle of changing cooks, but not painful. I got some groceries next door while I waited and the bartender was super nice and kept me updated and hydrated. Ordered a Mediterranean salad and the grilled cheese/tomato bisque combo. All of the food tasted delicious. Salad ingredients were fresh and the balsamic dressing was top notch. The grilled cheese was cooked well, and the bisque was both tasty and creamy, perfect for dipping or sipping. The price tag was pretty average these days, but worth it for a filling and satisfying meal. Chill ambiance inside, would definitely pop in if ever in the area again.

Zola is a fun place to go. Certainly don't go for the food or the cocktails. Go to have a fun time. At happy hour prices, the drinks and food are an ok deal, but really I would recommend going elsewhere for a dinner, and then going to Zolas for the music, dancing, and party Service was good, and so no need to go to the bar. Just sit down at a table, and a friendly server will be by.

Swanky, hip, cool, hipster-doofus vibes with more charm than a bucket of moonstones. Cocktails are really expensive and not worth the price point IMHO. Live music is a great addition but the space and sound mixing were... less than ideal. To me it was incredibly loud with echoey but opinions vary and my GFF was a-ok. Super neat-o booths upstairs converted from old Tilt-a-Whirl rides. Not at all comfortable and a bit jammed in, even with two people, but kitschy AF and that's worth a wee bit of discomfort. Service was serviceable.

Definitely one of the best-quality restaurants in the city, where every dish was thoughtfully made and packed with flavor. What we ordered: Starters: - Spring Salad: Super fresh and well-balanced. The snap peas were crisp, with strawberries added for sweetness, and the goat cheese + pistachios gave it a creamy, nutty contrast. The lemon & tarragon vinaigrette tied everything together with a light, herby flavor. - Jerk Cauliflower: Crunchy cauliflower with Caribbean spices with a creamy jerk sauce, good as a side Appetizers: - Peel 'n' Eat Shrimp: Really juicy and spicy from the Cajun spice. There's butter to dip in but I found it too greasy and prefer lemon instead. - Blistered Hungarian Peppers: Smoky pepper with some sweetness and savory from the sausage and cheddar. Served with a toasted focaccia that soak up all the sauce. Main dishes: - Chicken Schnitzel: One of the must-orders. Crispy, golden breading, super tender inside. The lemon & caper butter sauce added acidity and richness that elevated the whole dish. Yoy have to order extra because it's never enough for the table. Yes, it's that good. - Marbled Duroc Pork Chop: Another favorite . Juicy and tender, with 'nduja salsa brava bringing a spicy depth, while lemon tahini and marcona almonds added creaminess and crunch. I always missed tasting this dish like my first time - Beet Ravioli: Earthy and slightly sweet flavor, nice texture but I hate goat cheese so I'm not really a fan of this dish - Pesto Bacon Pizza: Delicious crunch, loved the combo of mozzarella and gorgonzola, kind of creamy with a bit of funk. Balsamic do help balance and gave it a sweet tangy flavor, or else it would be too heavy for me (yes, not a pizza fan) Drinks & Dessert - Not Mai Tai mocktail: very aesthetically looking drink, but a bit too sweet to my liking - Apple crisp: cozy and warm, with baked apple & pecan crumble and served with vanilla ice cream on top. Delicious ice cream. - Pumpkin cheesecake: My 3rd favorite of the night, I still dream about it!! Rich, smooth, and perfectly spiced, you shouldn't skip this!!! That said, I do have to take away a couple points for timing. Our foods took 45 mins to come out even though I had reservations and note the menu items via the email, and the wait time between each dish was also... very confusing. It broke the flow of our meal. But once the food hit the table, it was hard to stay mad, so I forgave them.

That's probably the highlight of the whole experience. I started with the Cheshire Cat mocktail, which was a bit oversweet for me. It was decent, but the portion felt small for the price. Salmon rillette ended up being the best dish! It was rich, savoury, and delicious when paired with pickled onions (the bread was slightly burnt - I hated it). Ended the meal with a vanilla gelato dessert - just okay, not too wow. The restaurant was so packed and seemed understaffed, so service took forever. I left feeling a bit disappointed, especially after looking forward to it so much

We told the server it tasted burnt & old so she offered to make a fresh pot. It was just as bad, when she asked we said it was still really yucky and she said that a lot of people don't care for it. I ordered the tamale waffle. The beef was great, eggs were a bit overcooked but no biggie, the waffle was really hard and dry. It needs some sort of crema sauce or something. It wasn't horrible by any stretch but it wasn't great either. My mom got the veggie breakfast burrito and she liked the veggies though it was bland, felt like it could have had more sour cream & cheese. It was massive and came with a side. The added 16% service fee is some real BS. It says on the receipt that it's split between the server & the kitchen staff. Call me old fashioned but I thought it was on the restaurant to pay their staff a living wage. At $18 a breakfast plate & $4 for drip coffee you should be able to pay your staff. And then we're supposed to tip on top of that? Nope.

The biggest issue right away was how long the food took. It felt like we were waiting forever, and by the time it finally came out, it definitely didn't feel worth it. We started with the pretzel, which honestly was nothing like a pretzel. It tasted more like glorified fried dough and didn't have that classic pretzel texture or flavor at all. For drinks, mine was way too strong and just didn't taste good. It wasn't balanced at all and ended up being hard to even enjoy. For my main, I ordered the Cascadia burger medium, but it came out clearly well done and overcooked. On top of that, the egg on it was severely undercooked.. some of the whites were still clear and slimy, which completely ruined it for me. I had also heard good things about the mac and cheese, so I gave it a try, but that was another disappointment. It was bland and runny, and even after adding salt and pepper, it still had no real flavor. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich, which wasn't terrible, but it was definitely on the dry side. They were also out of fries, so he had to get fruit instead, which was kind of disappointing. Overall, the food took way too long, the quality didn't match the price, and the experience just didn't live up to the hype at all. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

The atmosphere was really enjoyable -- the space has a great vibe, the drinks were well made, and overall it feels like somewhere that could become a favorite spot downtown. The food was decent as well, though not especially memorable. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the positives. From the moment we walked in, we felt more like an inconvenience than welcomed guests. The host greeted us while remaining seated at the bar and simply told us to "sit anywhere," which immediately set an odd tone. When I asked for paper menus, I was told they only use QR codes. Normally that wouldn't be a huge issue, but the menu was around 15 pages long with tiny font, making it frustrating to navigate on a phone. Once our food arrived, we essentially never saw our server again. No check-ins, no refill offers, no asking if we wanted another round of drinks -- nothing. Meanwhile, staff members were gathered at the bar loudly talking among themselves and openly complaining about being there, which was uncomfortable to listen to as customers trying to enjoy a night out. Eventually, we had to walk up to the front bar ourselves just to pay our bill. That was the most disappointing part because the restaurant truly has the foundation to be excellent. The ambiance and drinks are already there, but hospitality matters just as much as the food. A little attentiveness and genuine customer service would have completely changed the experience. We absolutely would have ordered more drinks and likely stayed longer if anyone had checked on us. Hopefully management takes service more seriously, because this place could be great with the right staff culture and attention to guests.
