There weren't many intermediate or advanced pole classes I could drop into at Rising Goddess (mostly seems to series over a few weeks) so I took an intermediate hammock class instead. Easy to book but bummed that the level changed from advanced starting the week I was there. I was given the grand tour when I arrived. This is a MASSIVE space! Love how many pole, aerial, and dance rooms there are, as well as a kitchen for special events. Everyone was super friendly, to the point where I had to excuse myself from conversation because I was a few minutes late to class. Oops. Audrey was the instructor, and she taught so many fun and accessible combos! Not sure when I'll be back in Oak Brook again but would love to take more classes in the future.

Because I have lost a great deal of strength, finding a studio and instructor who can scaffold instruction is important to me. Rise, and owner/instructor Carrie delivered. The aerial flow class is adaptable to all levels of strength and experience. Carrie breaks down poses and demonstrates to ensure all students understand the mechanics of each pose. It was easy to feel comfortable and confident, and to feel some muscle memory returning. I signed up for a membership and look forward to adding these classes to my fitness regimen. Floating was a very interesting and relaxing experience, and the attendant was incredibly helpful, guiding us through the entire process and making us feel comfortable the whole time. We also stayed a bit afterward and purchased some scents that have been working out really well for us. It was a total journey away from the city, and I would absolutely come back to do this again.

I was also one of the last people packing up my mat at the end of class and the instructor still said absolutely nothing to me. The instructor even said goodbye to the person in front and behind me as I exited, it was incredibly rude. I've never had an experience like this at any yoga studio, and because of my travels I visit quite a few, for that reason I will not return here and wouldn't recommend.
