I want to give a big shout out to KC! Luis came into my life with an unknown past. He was a stray living on the streets and did not have much history with humans. I've had four other dogs and raised them, but he was my first rescue that wasn't food motivated. Zoom Room training has given my pup a change to socialize in a safe and controlled manner, learn some new tricks, and improve impulse control. My puppy "Winnie" is the third dog I have taken to Zoom Room Reno. KC and the entire Zoom Room team are absolutely incredible! I had won a six week pack of classes elsewhere in a raffle. We attended all six and then made the choice of registering with Zoom Room. Winnie and myself made more progress as a team in the first lesson than we had elsewhere in six classes! Coming back to Zoom Room was like coming home to family. I was listened to with my goals (service and therapy work) for us as a team and a plan was put together that set us up for success. I am proud to say that with KC, Chae and Bethany's guidance and support along with commitment and work at home that Winnie achieved her first title of AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy at seven months of age. This is our launching block for big goals in the future. Winnie and I both look forward to class each week. She is often the class clown who loves hanging out upside down when not working. Having a young puppy who is regularly complimented on her behavior and manners in public is an incredible feeling. It has allowed us a trip to Montana and Apple Hill along with many local businesses. Fur baby approved. I have pups that visit this location to burn off energy, run agility courses and meet new friends. Zoom Room runs fantastic positive reinforcement training classes. My puppies get to learn while being loved by a great staff. Kyle is a great instructor for both me and my babies in the agility course. I get my steps in while my puppies get to learn how to confidently manage obstacles and figure out puzzles. Dominique leads a great obedience class that really emphasizes a loving, positive and constructive relationship between me and my puppies. My pups graduated from pre-school here. Lexi always remembered my puppies' names, greeted them with a smile and big hug. My puppy started at Zoom Room at 8 weeks old (puppy preschool). She was a crazy chocolate lab with lots of energy. We have done all the classes they offer from obedience, scent workshops, advanced agility, private sessions, and rally obedience ... among others. Oh my goodness this place is PAWsitively the best! KC and her team are fabulous! I have been coming here with my rescue Bentley and Dominique is our teacher, she is so wonderful! He loves to go, it's great exercise and fun and engaging way to train and bond. I am just a huge fan and so thankful, she gives the best advice, she is always 100% on her game and so educated on best practices. I really hate writing this review..but find I need to share my honest opinion and experience. I used the zoom room back in California in Belmont for our maltipoo for basic obedience. I truly enjoyed it and got our maltipoo nicely trained. Moving here to Reno 5 years ago I hadn't thought about dog training until August of last year when we adopted a reactive /barker 7 1/2 yr old from a rescue. I was excited to find the zoom room here in Reno. I brought our new rescue with high expectations to this zoom room that they could help us. In a short answer they did not. I paid for 5 sessions for right around $700. This all involved treating when not barking. This was in a room with no other dogs in the first 2 sessions. The second 2 involved the trainers real dog..never do you say no to barking..just treat when there is no barking. The 5th session they cancelled due to the trainer being sick. We never went back. there was zero progress with our girl in the real world. That's my big issue. For that $$$$ amount and 4 hours of time I should be able to take her out anywhere and have no issues. I hired a trainer that works with the rescue I got her from and we met at Idlewild park. Using a water spray bottle and 2 -1 hour sessions I have an almost non reactive dog to people and other dogs.We met other dogs on trails and she went up to them and was happy to meet them..such an amazing change! She has proven not to be fear based..but enjoys barking just to bark. It didnt take long to teach her its not ok to bark... And when she doesn't bark she gets rewarded! The problem with the zoom room is you are not teaching consequences...positive reinforcement is great..but not always effective just by itself. . And..their enclosed environment is not helping out where there is so much out in the world to trigger a dog who loves to bark . They have no other techniques and we feel they wasted our money and time. I think zoom room is fine for puppies..but was not right for our adult reactive dog who enjoys hearing herself bark...Zoom room is a one size fits all training program. Some dogs are not suited for this franchises approach.One size does not fit all and not offering other options is too limiting when it does not work. Our new trainer works with animal control and rescue to train and prepare dogs to be adopted. I have not heard zoom room does this nor their trainers. Kind of a big deal if you ask me! I've been coming to Zoom Room for about a month with our 6 month old (now 7) month old puppy. KC and all the trainers have been so wonderful. Riley has enjoyed class a lot too and is always excited to be there. We take her to puppy training for 4-8 months and the puppy play group. I have had such a great experience with Zoom Room! Their puppy classes are by far the best I've attended. I love how you buy class packs and your dog advances at their own pace. Most other places in town require you to sign up for a certain number of sessions at each level, but this approach is much more personable. I've brought both of my teens to attend class with our puppy and they've also enjoyed the instruction and puppy socialization . This place is awesome. Traditional classes don't work for us due to my schedule so it's a huge benefit to be able to schedule classes at different times each week. I also love the levels system where your dog moves through the different goals at their own pace so you're not stuck learning things your dog has already mastered. My dog just graduated basic obedience today and we're looking forward to trying advanced obedience, agility, and all of the other offerings. After doing a lot of research of local dog training facilities, I picked Zoom Room as one of my training places because they are one of the few positive only, non e-collar dog trainers in town. Loki my border collie like so many other border collies has excitable leash reactivity, is strong willed, and struggles at times to settle. Moreover, because I am Loki's second owner (he was too hyper for his first owner and I adopted him at nearly 5 month), work long hours, travel a lot for work (2 months total of the 6 months I have owned him), and am working on my Masters, Loki has missed a lot of consistent training. As a result, sometimes my little, beloved, high-energy, rocket man can be a handful. While I have had positive experiences with all of the Zoom Room Trainers in general, you can tell they really care about and love dogs, when my schedule permits I will pick classes taught by Kyle. Even though I have struggled at times with Loki's energy levels, him wanting to play with every dog, and his reactivity - Kyle has never acted like Loki was a disruption, never pushed me to have Loki do something when I was refraining because Loki was getting into his unresponsive threshold levels, never talked down to me or acted in a judgemental manner towards me as an owner, encouraged me during days Loki's reactivity was getting the best of me, and even is aware of some of Loki's triggers and is mindful of them during training. Sadly, I cannot say that all training facilities / trainers are like this. Loki comes here for a wide assortment of classes: private training, Obedience, Agility, and we are starting a Treibball workshop early next year. He loves coming here for both the training and the high quality treats/toys I purchase from the shop. Lastly, with my schedule being what it is, I love the fact that their training classes are not like most places e.g. every Tuesday at 6:00pm for 6 weeks. As long as your dogs qualify for a class, you purchase a number of classes and can pick that class offered at various times during the week. If you cancel prior to 24 hours you still keep that class credit. This method is much more accommodating for my busy schedule. read more

This is just what Reno needed. I have two dogs who I have been needing to get them into basic obedience training. I saw this one advertised so I scheduled the orientation to find out more information. After orientation I could not wait to get my 2 year old girl signed up. I bought a class pack of 6 and signed my girl up for the one that was most convenient for us. Most places that offer dog training have you sign up for a 6 week class that has a certain day and time and if you miss one you just miss out. Zoom has class packages that you buy from a 6,8 or 12 class pack. Going into our first class my girl was so excited and the place was super clean and the dogs were well spaced apart from other dogs. The trainers and the other staff were so friendly and helpful. My girl had such a good time and the trainers made it a fun class and had a little game they played with what they are learning. I enjoyed the class just as much as my dog did. One of the other things I love about Zoom Room is if you are not ready for another class right away that's ok, you just go to the app and sign up for your next class when you and your dog are ready so you don't have to worry if you didn't have a lot of time to work with your pup one week you can go a little slower instead of every week. Another great thing about Zoom Room is they have so many good quality treats to mix it up a little for your pup. They also have fun toys, leashes, treat and poop bags too. If you have a dog that needs socialization or training please check this place out first. I am so happy we started here and my little girl loves the classes too. read more

But in no way you went above and beyond. You are just not suited to managing a business. In face in surprise your still in business. 3. I had only cancelled once due to inclement weather. If you believe I cancelled more times than one, you should get off whatever meds you are taking because you are hallucinating. 4. My complaints are listed above. We have two puppies. We took them to the orientation, thought we were paying up front for 2 six week classes. Showed up to the first class -all okay. Next class, was on my birthday. I cancelled a family dinner and friends zoom call to ensure I got my puppy there. Arrived to be told we weren't signed up and that was that - off you go. Like we don't know you - you're not a client - no discussion. We were blown away with how we were treated and dismissed. I called later to try and get things back on track, but folks there's only one way here and it's "their" way. There is no customer service and the rules are the rules and they must be obeyed. We thought about trying to call again and see if there was anyway to get this back on track, but we realized it was such a negative situation - the fun was gone and so was the trust. We asked for our money back or even a small portion. NOPE. My message to Zoom Room: We're people. Things don't always work out perfect. We get that. I really wish you would bend a little in the spirit of fairness and the idea of customer service. read more

We love Zoom Room. We have been taking our puppy, Panda, for about a month now and it has been a great experience! Everyone is so welcoming and will take the time to help you with any questions or concerns you have. Panda thinks everyone there is her family! This training facility exceeds all expectations! The facility is clean and everyone is paced far apart... the trainer is very good about going over and teaching us how to teach our dogs the skills we are learning . My dog is in obedience 1 and has already learned so much from his first day in class ... I love that we are not committed by going every week at the same time ... classes are flexible and vary in date and times... which is great for me since I work full time ... This place is so unorganized it is unbearable. I tried twice to take their puppy class and they actually made it impossible. They told me to come by in the afternoon for orientation and no one was there! Door unlocked and all their merch right out in the open. Then after many phone calls; I finally get a puppy class scheduled to then receive a cancellation e-mail the morning of the class. So do I risk going like before? No... I called and was told I needed to do an orientation. I wanted to scream, "I have been trying to do that exact thing!!!" So I explain the entire story ... I was told to come by, drove there, no one was even in the building blah blah blah... and she really didn't seem bothered. So I said forget it maybe we can try this again later. Every time I talk to these ppl it is starting over from the beginning like we have never spoke so that also just mounts to the frustration. After the few weeks go by I call to try to get this orientation setup to get treated the exact same way. Horrible experience. They don't remember any of the above and are still making excuses about how hectic things are for them. I tried and tried. If only they tried half as hard as I did. Pathetic customer skills. Hope you treat your dogs better than the people. KC, your account of what you say happened is actually horrific. Lying about what happened isnt a good look. I had a puppy orientation scheduled that I was told I could do over the phone. Then I called and was told you dont do them over the phone anymore. There was never a point in any of this that I didnt show up. Your employee told me to come in-person between 12pm and 2pm. So I did. When I came there no one was in the building. So I called and left a message. He called me later that evening and told me to come to the puppy class and he would talk to me after class to do the orientation talk. So that was great. I was set to go to the puppy class. My confusion returned when I received the cancellation email the morning of the class. When you and I talked on the phone the morning of the class you blamed your computer software for the cancellation email. Hopefully you got the computer software fixed and now you can work on your lying. Good times read more

Zoom Room is just what South Reno needed. I have been anticipating the opening of Zoom Room and am not disappointed. It's bright, clean and displays and treats are inviting for 2 legged and 4 legged alike! I did my evaluation and signed up for classes at the opening. My mini poodle squeals with excitement when we pull into the Summit and that's just the beginning. Once we get through the front door he is greeted by staff and knows he is in for a good time! Most of our Obedience classes have been with Kyle. Kyle has just the right amount of enthusiasm and leadership to train and keep the dogs focused and the humans too! I'm so glad Zoom Room is open and it's been fantastic to work/train inside with all the smoke outside! read more
